Syndicate was out and about in Nightmare valley just to search the area and see what was out there. It had been some time since he had seen any ponies and the last one he met seemed to want to just kill him. There were so many dangers in Nightmare valley, but it was his home. All he ever knew was here. Adiemus, his dad would come over ever so often, but Adiemus had been giving Syndicate space to do his own thing. So in the end it normally resulted in Syndicate either searching for other ponies to talk to, treasures to collect, or just to make sure no one was trying to kill him. He knew that feeling all too well.

He at least knew another dragon named Bree and he would visit her in Dream Valley every now and then. Although she would sometimes be missing since she was just as much as a wander off as he was. However, he normally staid in Nightmare Valley simply because he had tried to befriend a dream valley pony only to have them falsely assume he was going to kill them simply because of the way he looked and the fact that he was from Nightmare Valley.

Syndicate came to rest at an old tree. He looked around to spy some plants. "These might do for a good poison." He cocked his head to the side. "Although I really don't have a need to poison a pony."

"Oh no!" cried Hasanna, crashing very improperly through a thicket of stunted trees with branches like claws to tear at her hair and clothes. her feathers were probably a ruin. But her handkerchief- her favourite handkerchief was being borne away on the winds.

What a situation to be in- it was just so old fashioned; who used a handkerchief? Who dropped one? What kind of person would run after a handkerchief if it flew away? She felt like a simpering lady from a soppy romance novel, but it was her favourite handkerchief... A friend of hers had embroidered lovely little wyverns along the corners, and a gift from a friend, especially a handmade gift, was a precious thing.

Hasanna went through another stand of trees, huffing and panting, and saw her handkerchief blow at a dark pony staring at some plants. It wrapped itself around him.

"Please," she gasped, almost inaudibly, "please, oh please don't let it fly off," she begged. It was Nightmare Valley, after all, and many ponies you meet would rather throw it back in the air just to spite her than help her.

((You know, I think their colouring goes very well together, hopefully if any babies eventuate, they'll get her edits- MASKED DRAGON BEBEHS?))

Syndicate had been staring so intently at the plants that he didn't notice the other pony approaching until a handkerchief wrapped around his front leg. He picked it up and looked at it before looking up at the lady who had just appeared. For a bit he was thinking of letting it go, but still it wasn't like he wanted to come across as a complete jerk, it was just most of the time he didn't care too much or at least not since he had a recent affair with a random stranger.

Syndicate walked over towards the beautiful lady. "Here you go miss. It's mighty windy out." He looked around the area wondering if she was with anyone in particular, but it seemed not. "I would ask what brings you all the way out here, but I'm guessing it was this." Syndicate was normally socially awkward so he rarely said much except the obvious.

((That would be pretty cool. I like Hasanna's colors and patterns too. They would make some pretty sweet babies.))

Hasanna realised the pony was going to give her back the handkerchief and relaxed, trying to catch her breath. "Oh, thankyou!" she said, taking it back. "Yes, I was chasing my handkerchief- stupid, really, I could buy another, but I would hate to see it all ruined and being stepped on and all the little green dragons..."

For the first time, Hasanna noticed that the pony she was talking to wasn't simply and extremely heavily muscled earth pony, but a strong-looking dragon. He was a dragon she had never seen before, which meant he couldn't be part of the family in her herd. She must find out whom he was.

"Thank you so much for coming to my rescue," she said. "My name is Hasanna, would you let me know whom it is I owe my thanks?" Her eyes flashed cheekily, and at the same time, she hoped she was not speaking too sweetly to someone else's mate.

Syndicate was a bit confused and wondering what the first part meant. The green dragons? Nevertheless, he shook it off. "I'm Syndicate." He said abruptly. "Oh I see. Well if it's important to you than it was no problem at all." He paused for a moment trying to think of what she might be talking about still with the green dragons. It wouldn't hurt to ask and plus maybe he could figure out about others possibly like him too.

"If you don't mind me asking. Who are these green dragons you're talking about." He was curious, but at the same time still curious as to who this girl was. "Oh and if you don't mind me asking. What is your name?"

"My name is Hasanna," replied Hasanna proudly. "Pleasure to meet you!"

"A friend of mine I have not see in a very long while gave me this handkerchief, Mr Syndicate," said Hasanna. "She embroidered little green wyverns- what dragons look like in her country- all along the sides, see?" She showed him the shiny green embroidery on the corners of the white handkerchief.

"It was a doubly kind gift because it was a farewell to the land of wyverns for me and a new life here, with dragons who look like you, all living in the mountain yonder. Those dragons are more likely to be green than the black you wear, what a pity for them," she continued flatteringly.

Syndicate looked at the embroidery of the handkerchief. "Well it looks nicely done." He wasn't sure what this pony was out and about doing, but she sure seemed interested in him or something. However, he thought it wouldn't hurt to try and be sociable. It was rare others came to see him and even so it wasn't like she was an enemy. "Besides the handkerchief issue, you out and about to anywhere in particular?"

"I was utterly stir-crazy at home," confessed Hasanna. "I'm moving from my little cottage to the Kaiba Mansion, but we have to wait for the people who were, uh, squatting in there to move out. So I went out for a walk and met you!" she finished brightly.

A small chuckle could be heard from Syndicate. "Oh I know how that is about wanting to be out and about." He nodded his head. "Although I don't get to meet too many ponies. Most of the time they are either frightened of me or want to kill me." He paused for a moment half curious about the Kaiba Mansion. "Ah so you're moving to a bigger location? I'm guessing you have a huge family then?"
PostPosted: Sat Nov 22, 2014 6:58 pm

"No," said Hasannah sadly. "I have no family. It's a... long story. I am not... right for them." She shook herself, as thought shaking such thoughts from her head.

"The Kaiba mansion is reclaiming its glory and with so many available rooms, I was offered the use of one of the corridors. Well, all the rooms of one of the corridors. It's much more like how I grew up, and I could always go back to my cottage if it doesn't work out. But I'm tired of living alone. I like conversation at the breakfast table."

Hasannah stared at Syndicate. "Why on earth would anyone want to hurt you?"

Syndicate opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but he shut it only to say something shortly. "Um...sorry about that then. I guess I shouldn't of asked."

He let a soft smile cross his face as he listened to Hassanna describe the Kaiba mansion. "Well I really hope it works out for you. It sucks being alone with no one to care for you." He paused for a sec to scrunch up his face in thinking. "Although there are some ponies out here that enjoy solitude completely." He shrugged. "Then again they could be only doing it because their hearts got abused or something else." He shook his head. "Sorry sometimes I tend to go off topic. I think too much sometimes."

He shrugged. "Truthfully I don't know. Maybe I was in other ponies territories and was not aware of it. Personally I find it stupid. It's not like open land like this should belong to anyone." Syndicate stopped for a second to think about it some more. "Well honestly that's all I can think of, unless if they just want to be some hot shot and try to kill something just to prove they are strong."
PostPosted: Wed Dec 10, 2014 2:32 am

[q"Oh, you're not to know," said Hasanna gently. "You must see things so kindly, it wouldn't even occur to you that my family would dislike me for the way I look." She smiled with gratitude. She was sure everyone of social stature looked down on her for her appearance, it was wonderful to her that Syndicate would not even notice.

However, it did not occur to Hasanna that her family was simply a bunch of complete and utter jerks and no-one else noticed her darker skintone or cared about it or thought less or her for any reason.

"I hope you're not a pony who likes solitude over all other things!" said Hasanna. "I would be a bother to you!"

Hasanna nodded slowly. "I would understand someone attacking you to prove they are strong." She remembered in her grandfather's manse an ornate gilded set of dragon horns set above the head of the table. No-one would say where they came from- it's possible the dragon had died and given them to her family, or if they had stolen them from another family. She thought it was doubtful that any of her family had slain a dragon for them. The proof of status remained the same...

"Well other ponies really shouldn't judge just based on appearances. Sometimes appearances can be deceiving to. Which could be good or bad depending on how you take it." Syndicate shook his head at the second comment. "I actually hated it, but had to get used to it since my family is so awkward. Then again, drow families are the most awkward to begin with anyways. The males are pretty much just breeding crop and used for strong lineage." He stopped himself. "Um...I hope I don't sound too selfish talking about all this."

He sighed a bit before continuing. "Yeah. That definitely sounds familiar although to be strong you shouldn't necessarily have to prove it just to know it." He paused for a moment. "Although I guess if you don't kill a lot or fight, you could loose that skill, maybe." He shrugged. "Normally I'm good at getting away or rotting things with my breath so it helps a bit."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 01, 2015 6:33 pm

"Not selfish at all!" Hasannah blushed a little. She has imagined Syndicate be her consort based on his high station as a dragon- did that make her the same as his family? "So drow? Is that your family name?"

"R-rotting things with your breath?" Hasannah blinked furiously and sniffed the air. She didn't smell anything. Was he being literal? Some ponies say 'I'm as big as a house' when they feel overweight, but Syndicate's breath seemed fine. Unless it was his talent?!

"Uh, I can dance with feathers," she said meekly. "And decorate with them. That's... my talent."

Syndicate lightly smiled a bit relieved she was being so understanding and patient with him. It was definitely a quality that was not so common, or at least in his eyes it wasn't. "Well my dad came from the drow clan, my mother's side...I honestly can't remember too well. Both kind of ended up disappearing so I raised myself. Although I did see my father here and then, but he had to go out and hunt and it would take quite a while, plus I think he felt a bit awkward trying to raise me so he let me do what I wanted."

Syndicate nodded his head. "Yeah you know how they say dragons have some magic to them sometimes. Well instead of breathing fire, I breath a toxic acid." He shot out his smokey poison at a tree while watching it eat away at the wood before it fell over while continuing to wither away. "I guess it's because drows specialize in poisons and that's how I ended up that way instead of a fire breather."

He listened to her talent. "Hmm...sounds interesting. I hate to be so nosy, but could you show me?"
