SubonicXP Breeding Center InfestationThe Johto Breeding Center on Route 34 is having a bit of a bug problem. Being so close to Ilex Forest they regularly see Bug Pokemon but here lately they've got a bit of an infestation on their hands. All kinds of Bug Pokemon are swarming to the Breeding Center and they aren't sure why, all they know is that they won't leave. It's your job to get some of those Bug Pokemon to buzz off and maybe figure out what was attracting them to the Breeding Center. Objective: ---Clear out all the Bug Pokemon and find out what was drawing them there. Opposition: ---Lots of wild Bug Pokemon including Caterpie, Weedle, Ledyba, Spinarak, Pineco, and Yanma. Pokemon: ---You may capture one wild Pokemon. Rewards: ---3x Snag Coins. ---If you don't catch a Bug Pokemon you might be given a Pokemon Egg from the Old Couple. " Alright, just a bunch of bugs, right? This one should be an alright first mission back, especially with a Houndour at my side." Seth tapped away at the new, improved SNAG computer at his wrist, and selected the mission to be executed. He caught a boat over to the Johto region, and it wasn't far before he found his way to Ilex Forest, and the Route 34 Breeding Center nearby. " You must help us! The Breeding Center is being swarmed by icky little Bug-types!" the old woman shudders in fear as she pleads with Seth for help. " Don't worry, ma'am. That's exactly what I'm here for. Fury and I are on the job!" With a wink and a smirk, just as he's given to a few others in his teenage years, he released Fury from his Pokeball, and walked towards the building. Once inside, there weren't any Bugs immediately inside, but a Caterpie was drawn by the sound of the door closing. " Fury, Bite!" Not wanting to burn down the entire place, he decided to opt for less damaging, but more safe moves to subdue the Bug types. One Bite took the Caterpie to dreamland, though, and it was knocked out cold. " These things are complete chumps. Wonder what's bringing them all here, huh, boy?" Seth questioned out loud, not knowing what he'd find next. He whacked his way through a couple of spiderwebs, cluing him in to what he'd be seeing shortly; and like clockwork, two Spinarak were around the corner further back in the building, near the door heading outside. Upon seeing the Houndour and Trainer, though, they scurried up the walls and hid away from them in the corners of the ceiling. " Won't be getting any trouble from them, it seems." He exited out the back door, into the yard of the breeding center, and found what had been drawing all the bugs. There was an Oran Berry tree growing over the fence, and many of them had come here to get a bite to eat, being herbivorous Pokemon by nature. " Huh. Fury, think you can headbutt the tree, and we can draw them away by taking the berries into the forest?" The Houndour scratched the ground in preparation, and charged headfirst at the tree. A bunch of berries fell from the sky, one or two whacking Seth in the head on their way down. With a chuckle, he scooped as many as he could hold into his jacket and hood, and made a makeshift sack out of it, with an easy-access hole that he could grab berries from. With the concentration of berries now in Seth's possession, many of the Bug-Types diverted their attention from the tree itself to the Trainer as he hopped over the fence and headed towards the forest. Many of them followed as he dropped Oran Berries along his path, heading further and further away from the Route 34 Breeding Center, and into Ilex Forest. When he had come down to five Berries left, he decided to leave three in a circle at the Guardian's Shrine, as a way of saying thanks to the forest for taking in the wayward Bug-Types. He kept two for himself, thinking they'd be useful in the future. With his mission accomplished, he headed back to the Breeding Center to tell the old couple that everything would be okay, and then made his way back to the HQ.

SubonicXP Tampered PotionsA sweet and innocent appearing Old Lady is selling newbie trainers "Herbal Potions" at an extremely cheap price compared to regular Potions. However trainers are noticing as they use the Potions on their Pokemon they become sicker in time. It turns out the Potions are actually laced with a diluted poison that builds up in the Pokemon's body the more its used. Unfortunately the "sweet old lady" has a powerful reputation and if you out right attack her or call her out you'll be turned out by the locals. You're going to need to reveal to everyone that the lady is a fraud and is harming Pokemon. Do whatever it takes to reveal her deceit and send her over to the police. Objective: ---Reveal the Old Lady's poisoned Potions scheme. Opposition: ---The Old Lady, she has an Oddish and Bellsprout. ---If locals get offended that you're bothering the sweet old lady they may attack. Pokemon: ---You may snag one Pokemon. Rewards: ---4x Snag Coins and varies from there. " So this old bat thinks she can take advantage of people who trust her? I'll show her, that's for sure. Fury, let's get moving." With a short yap of " Dour!" Seth and Fury were headed to the Johto Region, near Mahogany Town. Route 44 was where the reputed old lady lived, just past the town limits. There were a couple of Trainers nearby with sickly looking Pokemon, and Seth had a feeling that they were victims of the old woman's poisoned potion scheme. " Is there any way we can cure our friends? The potions the old lady sells aren't working anymore!" One of the trainers started crying out for help, and his Pidgeotto started hacking up what looked like a mix of blood and dark green goo. That must be what happens when the poison builds up. Seth walked over to the Trainer with the Pidgeotto, and pulled out one of the Oran Berries he'd collected from his last solo mission. " Here. I know it doesn't seem like much, but take this. I'm sure every second counts, right about now." He handed the berry over to the other Trainer, and smiled. " Tell me, how long have you been buying potions from the old lady over here?" Time to get down to business, since this Pidgeotto didn't look healthy at all. " Well, I started buying potions from her a couple of months ago, and they were really cheap. Since then, I've made two or three trips back here to stock back up, since they worked really well. But, recently, my Pidgeotto has been getting sicker and sicker, coughing up this weird green goop," he points on the ground, where the goo is still sitting, " and she tells me that some Pokemon have an allergic reaction." " Don't worry. I'll figure out what's going on, okay? You take your Pidgeotto back to the Pokemon Center for now, and make sure it gets plenty of rest, and maybe an Antidote, or a Pecha Berry to get it back to full speed." The other Trainer nodded, and picked up his Bird Pokemon, headed back towards Mahogany Town. Seth turned to the north, looking for the house the old lady lived in, and found it a bit removed from the path. He entered the house with a knock on the door, only entering when he heard a soft " Come in, come in." from inside. Entering, Seth saw what appeared to be just an average old person's home, but with a little table in the middle with a box on it, which he assumed contained the money from the Trainers she had been selling to. " What can I do for you, dearie? Have you come to buy some of Gramma Nimh's herbal remedies?" Seth nodded, trying to look as innocent and unknowing as possible. " How many would you like? I sell them for just a fraction of the price that those silly Pokemarts do, only 5 Pokedollars each." " Well actually, Gramma Nimh, I was hoping I could see how your herbal remedies are made. I came all the way from the Hoenn region just to see your skills in action. Could you oblige me, perhaps?" The charm was at 115%, and Seth's smirk gave him the edge he appeared to need. " Well, I guess. But when we're making the potions, your Houndour will have to help out. He'll be heating up the alembic that the remedy is mixed in. Is that agreeable, dearie?" she asked, with a smile and a glint in her eye. Oh, you have no idea. " Sure, ma'am. Just let me know when we're getting started." A few minutes later, she'd let out her Oddish and Bellsprout, aptly named Radish and Pepper, and began setting up her workshop for making the "remedy". Seth stood to the side, with Fury, eyeing the woman to see if she'd pull any stunts. Once everything was set up, she had Seth and Fury begin working with her to mix up what was really just Oran Berries, fresh water, and a couple of Energy Roots. Fury started heating up the mixture, and after it was finished, it appeared to look just fine. Knowing something was up, Seth kept quiet until Gramma Nimh said they weren't finished yet. She whispered something to her Pokemon, and turned back to Seth. " We'll be back in just a moment. We've got to go add the secret ingredient, and that's something I wouldn't let slip for the life of me!" This is my chance! Seth snuck behind the old woman, towards the back of her house. In the back room, with only a cloth covering it, he heard her say " Radish, use your Poison Powder on this batch. Don't let up any, we'll feed this to that boy's Houndour, and take him out of the business for good." Seth was astonished, she planned to not only keep selling, but even try to attack Fury. Thankfully, the SNAG device on his arm had a recording mic in it, and he'd captured all the audio evidence he'd need to convict her. " Fury, use your Ember attack. Target the poisoned glass, and try to melt it." He did so, but instead of melting, the glass got really heated, and cracked. The poison started leaking out, and the old woman and her Pokemon were touched by the scalding liquid. With a yelp, she jumped back and looked to the doorway, where Seth and Fury were already poised for battle. " Now, Fury, use Headbutt! Take out the Oddish!" A direct hit sent the small Grass-Type flying into the wall behind it, knocking it out instantaneously. With a Howl, Seth figured out that his Houndour was getting really riled up, and loving the fight. " Pepper, use Vine Whip! Stop that Houndour from charging at us again!" The Bellsprout's vines were no match for the Houndour's fiery anger-fueled Ember attack, and with another charging Headbutt, the Bellsprout was taken out via the rear window. All that was left was the old woman. " You're coming with me, viper." He pulled out a ziptie and placed it around the old lady's wrists, and had Fury guard her back. Seth picked up the Pokeballs that were for the Oddish and Bellsprout, planning on turning them over to the authorities, when he got back to Mahogany Town. Upon returning to the town, he handed over a copy of the audio log that incriminated the old woman, and gave the Pokeballs to the officer as well. " Her Oddish and Bellsprout are still knocked out near her home. I'm sure someone nearby would be able to tell you where that is." With a laugh, he headed back towards Mt. Silver, and the Team Snagem base.

SubonicXP That Ole Snake in the Grass A certain Seviper has been causing some trouble on Route 4 in Kanto. Route 4 has no short supply of snake Pokemon but Seviper is one that is not native, as you can imagine it's disturbing the natural order of the place. It appears the local Ekans have taken to seeing the Seviper as a leader figure, said Seviper has succeeded in rallying them under its leadership and has begun to systematically decimate the local Spearow and Rattata population, consuming far more than sustainable. As you can guess this can't be allowed to happen for much longer or else the local ecosystem will collapse and with their food source gone the snake population will migrate onto other routes, destroying them as well. This has never happened before so it is obviously the Seviper's fault. How can one snake be so smart and charismatic? Must have belonged to a trainer once upon a time. Objective: ---Take out that Seviper and restore balance to Route 4. Opposition: ---Wild Ekans, numerous in number. ---The Seviper leader of course. ---Spearow, Rattata, and Mankey can also be found on Route 4 and due to everything they may be very hostile. Pokemon: ---You may catch one wild Pokemon, Seviper included. Rewards: ---3x Snag Coins and varies from there. There's no way... Fang? There's only one Seviper I could think of with that kind of sway over other Pokemon, especially the other snakes. Seth turned to Fury and Wrath, with a glint in his eye. ' Boys, we're going to go meet an old friend of mine, and bring him back where he belongs. With us." Fury barked happily, and Wrath seemed to shrug a "whatever" in response. Seth took the tram from the pass between Kanto and Johto all the way to Cerulean City, where he could easily make his way to Route 4. Before heading out to the battle, Seth made sure he was fully prepared for what was next. Fang was crafty, much more so than he'd given credit while on his team previously, and he needed to make sure that nothing bad would happen to either of his new pals. A few minutes later, they were all ready to go and fight the good fight. On Route 4, Seth immediately noticed something seemed very wrong with the atmosphere of the area. There weren't nearly as many Rattata or Spearow as there should be, and hardly any Mankey left at all. They were all cowering in fear when Seth approached, but once they noticed that he wasn't any risk to them, they seemed to calm down. One little Mankey even went so far as to point to the west, as if there were something important there. " Thanks, little buddy. I'll make sure those snakes don't bother you guys as bad as they've been recently, anymore." He patted the baby and smiled. Turning to the indicated direction, Seth and his Pokemon walked calmly into what appeared to be a snake pit, above ground. At the center of it all, there was a Seviper, with one fang obviously larger than the other. " So, it was you after all, wasn't it? I should've figured, with how organized these Ekans are. That, and none of them appear to be attacking me, or the Pokemon I brought with me." Seth's eyes narrowed slightly, wary of his old friend's ways. Fang would likely not give up his position of power so easily, and may even try to take Seth down in order to keep that position. Fang's eyes darted to an Ekans to Seth's left, uncoiling and moving into a battle position, the rest of the snakes clearing way for the coming fight. (CHECKPOINT.)
