At thirty-one years of age and married, Eleanor was sneaking out for the first time in her life. Samuel could at least be trusted not to stir, he slept like a rock and was used to his wife’s complete inability to get a good nights rest. So dressed in a track suit and exhilarated by her uncharacteristically bold venture into the midnight world, Eleanor began her very first patrol as a member of the Negaverse.
A couple of blocks later, a power up and a one chain link fence later, Lt. Hessite felt more silly than anything else. She’s already managed to rip her apron going over the fence, only to gain access to a building site she thought would be useful for practicing… something. What was she even doing here? How was this helping anything at all?
Hessite sighed and sat down on a pile of lumber.

Ruriska p/quote] At sixteen years of age, Cobaltite had already become a proficient sneaker-outer, made easier by the late nights and early mornings his Papa worked, meaning the professor of robotics was a fast and heavy sleeper. He'd never had to sneak out before, but the logical boy had worked out the optimum sneak-out routine before ever attempting it - and so far he hadn't been caught, so that was working fine. The reason for his sneaking out was the same as Hessite's. Negaverse activities. And tonight's activity? Training! After meeting with Merlinite the other day, being fired up by his enthusiasm and his own enthusiasm, he was determined to make the best of himself. Which meant training. And training meant finding somewhere where people weren't. Like a building site - which also had the bonus of places to practice balance and jumping from high places and lifting heavy things and, well, you get the idea. Cobaltite was walking across the beams of an unfinished building when he sensed the other Chaos aura, and carefully began to descend, calling out to Hessite as he did so. "Hey!"

‘Hey!’
She’d been sprung! Hessite jumped to her feet, already blushing with embarrassment at having been caught out by somebody already. Did building sites this small have security guards? What would she say? Should she run? There was no way she was getting over that fence any faster a second time.
It wasn’t until she saw the person who’d called out descending from up high that she realized her new company was both young and part of the Negaverse. Oh, so that’s what hat weird prickly feeling had been.
"Please be careful!" She called as she approached the building, watching each hand-hold he took and where he put his feet, more than ready to try break his fall if he slipped.

"I'm fine~!" Came the called reply as he worked out where to step next - thankfully for both himself and Hessite, Cobaltite stepped, scurried and slid down the half-built building with no trips, slips or falls, though there was a dicey moment where he looked like he might have got his foot stuck about halfway down, but he got around that by going back up before going back down again. It took a little longer than he expected to get down safely, though, and he was a little pink in the face when he stepped closer to Hessite and waved. "Hi! Uh. Again."

Hessite lingered beneath him as he climbed downward, her arms rising whenever it looked as if he might slip. But soon enough he was safely on the ground and she let out a little sigh of relief.
"Hello again," she said, offering a warm smile. Oh, he was so very young. She wanted to usher him home and tuck him into bed.
"My name is-" There was a moment's hesitation as Eleanor nearly came off her tongue. "Hessite. Have you... have you been part of the Negaverse for very long? Oh I'm sorry, is it alright for me to ask that?"

"Cobaltite." Came the reply initially. Cobaltite had done the whole name-slip thing a couple of times too, but since Kail and Cobaltite both started with a kuh sound, it wasn't as bad - he could cover it up easily enough. But now he was starting to get the hang of Kail and Cobaltite as seperate identities. It helped that you know, he was significantly more powerful as Cobaltite, and could sense auras and stuff. The question about how long he'd been in the negaverse didn't perturb him at all, and he shrugged slightly in response, rocking on his feet slightly. "It may be rude? I am not certain, social niceties are not my forte. But not long. Maybe a month and a half? What about you? " Cobaltite was actually curious as well, not just asking the question for the sake of conversation. No offense to Hessite, but she looked..older. Not like OLD-old, but older than most of the negaversers Cobaltite had met already.

"I’m sorry," Hessite said again, clasping her hands in front of her and smiling. The reveal that he had indeed only been doing this for a little while came as a great relief. "I’m not sure what’s rude now either. There will be lots of things for us to learn and certain ways to behave. This is an important organisation after all."
It would have been difficult to reconcile his lovely, boyish face with the hard life she was sure her fellow Negaverse members must have. Instead they could be new together and she had already made up her mind to watch over him as best she could.
"Three weeks now," she answered. "It seems as though I've been brought in a little bit late. Everyone is so much younger than I am."
