Aquios ☬ Xanthos ☬ Pharos ☬ There Is Ice Behind These Eyes xxxxxxxxxxxx☬ Frost Behind That Grin xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx☬ A Blizzard Raging From Deep Within ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "I don't have to "try" and understand anything you or anyone else has to say." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ "I just don't really see why I should be in a hurry to get back to the office. It's not like we've had anything to really do these last couple of days, and with hardly anyone actually showing their face over there the only people I seem to ever see are the guy with some serious marshmallow fetish, and the blind chick." A tired, annoyed voice sighed out, the only real sound in the part of the restaurant the owner to it sat in. The light sound of nails tapping against plastic started up as a white hair, blue eyed male turned his gaze to the window so he could watch as people and vehicles passed by on the other side. He paused for a moment, his gaze following a car that sped past, moving a bit faster than it perhaps should have been, though the dull look in his eyes said he clearly held no real interest in what would happen as a result. Though that didn't stop him from listening to see if he'd hear the screeching of tires and the shredding of metal as the car came to it's inevitable sudden, and no doubt, deadly stop. However after a few seconds he lost any small fragment of interest he may have had, and looked to the table instead.
'Just because we are not officially part of the military, does not mean you have the right to avoid them. This is our job, and if you expect them to continue paying us, it would probably be in your best interest, if you stopped acting like such a child, and did as you were told.' A voice snapped out in his mind, before it suddenly grew calmer, softer. 'Besides, they are not that bad, in my opinion...well...I suppose maybe only one of them. I am not really a fan of the General, although I can still tolerate him. '
The blue eyed male rolled his eyes as he leaned back a bit, his fingers now busying themselves with the napkin that was sitting next to him on the table. He slid a sharpened nail over the white fabric, watching as it gave way easily. He was bored, and had only really stopped in the restaurant to avoid being seen on the street by anyone who might work with the military, but now that he was there, he found himself more annoyed and bored than he probably would have been had he just gone to headquarters.
『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart☬ 』 "You don't find the girl annoying? Well i guess i shouldn't be surprised. You actually try to bond with people. Me? I couldn't care less. Though i do suppose both of them can be amusing in their own ways...at times." Aquios muttered, suddenly seeming to grow bored of the napkin as he chose to drop it to the table and flick it across it's surface, watching as it fell down onto the chair opposite him. Maybe he should have just gone to the office? It probably would have been better than sitting there with nothing to do.
He twitched, head snapping up, eyes growing cold as they met with some random civilian's from across the restaurant. It didn't take him long to both figure out why, and to notice that more than just that one person was staring in his direction. He sighed, before pushing himself up out of his seat, the air around him slightly colder than a moment ago.
Once again, he'd been answering his brother out loud. They all probably thought he was crazy, and he supposed in a way they were right.
'Oh? Are we going after all? I thought for sure you were planning on ignoring me.' His brother's voice called out mentally, his tone giving away that he'd been aware of his brothers mistake the entire time, despite him not saying it. 'Before we go though, I suggest picking something up from the restaurant here at least for everyone before you go. It is the least you can do, after you blatantly tried to ignore your generals orders. Maybe it will make him a little less frustrated with you.'
"First of all, he isn't my general, we're mercenaries, we don't fall completely under his command, he's paying us, and that's the only reason I am here. If i miss a payment or two, it's no big deal. And why should i care if he's pissed at me or not? I shouldn't have to bring them food just because he feels he needs to call us in at the most annoying times."
'Aquios...Is there something i said that you do not understand? If you expect to be paid, it would be in your best interest, to stay on his good side, at least for now. If you keep up with this type of attitude, he could just cut you off pay completely, without needing to give you a reason for why he chose to. And it will be no one but your own fault. Now go, and do as i said. Unless you want me to tell him about your comment on how he apparently has a "serious marshmallow fetish"'
Once again the air around the male seemed to grow a bit colder, as Aquios clenched his hands into fists for a moment, but then seemed to calm down, his expression apathetic, eyes still slightly cold. He wasn't in the mood to continue arguing with his brother, and he didn't feel up to dealing with the general bitching at him on top of that, so he decided to simply give in and do as he'd been told. He approached the counter, placed an order, according to what his brother told him to, then turned and headed for the door after he'd received what he'd asked for. ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "If you were thinking of considering me your friend, you might as well give up now." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ Protecting The Fragile Flame That Flickers Deep Inside ☬ (Out Of Cognition smile

So when he saw one of the brothers on his payroll, a slight frown formed on his expression. So that's where they were hiding out. Not that it matters, I don't remember seeing any reports from them on my desk.
"Taking a break from your work Aquios?" He called, his tone cold like ice for a moment. He had been considering on taking a break from the patrol he had been walking. Just a brief stop for lunch, should he invite the brothers to join him? No, it looked like they were just leaving the restuarant so they likely ate already.
Why waste the money he was payed for his hard work to pay for those slacking off? At this rate reclaiming the cities under gang control was going to only get harder. He pushed the thought to the side for now, he'd think more on it during lunch, or while he was going over the reports.
He'd need to write his own anyhow, one hand clenched around a marshmallow that had been tucked in a small bag in his pocket. Not out here, he'd need to find some other spot now to eat this.
He removed his other arm from within his pocket, to check his pocket watch before tucking it back in. "If you are returning to work, there are still patrols that need to be walked through the streets, passed Ironbark and The White Summit, out to the borders of Hinas. I've already walked the patrol not too long ago, but since you seem to be heading back to Headquarters anyway you can give a patrol of that ground on your way." He paused, and his dark purple gaze focused entirely on the pair of blue ones.
"Or, you can turn around, and walk back to your table and have lunch with me before I resume my patrol. The choice is yours of course." He finished, there was a cruel smirk on the edges of his lips as he kept his gaze completely focused on the one in front of him. ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ ϺΛЯϨҢϺΛȽȽϴШ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ I will never give in I will never give up You will be mine Dead or Alive

Aquios ☬ Xanthos ☬ Pharos ☬ There Is Ice Behind These Eyes xxxxxxxxxxxx☬ Frost Behind That Grin xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx☬ A Blizzard Raging From Deep Within ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "I don't have to "try" and understand anything you or anyone else has to say." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ He paused when he heard the voice suddenly cut through the tension that had built up between his brother and himself, as they had argued mentally, and his gaze snapped over to where the sound had come from. Standing practically right in front of him was the person they had just been talking about, and though it hadn't made him jump, he was still a bit surprised. You wouldn't know it though by the look on his face though, in fact, he seemed to hardly react at all to the sudden appearance of their general, Vali. Though that didn't mean the icy tone the others voice held was lost on him. He could tell the male wasn't pleased.
"Oh, Vali." He responded, knowing all too well he was breaking code by saying just his first name alone, but more than obviously not caring as his voice remained even, almost apathetic. Was he going into the restaurant? He glanced down at the bags of food he held, blinking slowly, before bringing his gaze back up to the General, cold blue eyes watching him carefully. He didn't miss the bag of marshmallow's the male happened to have on him either, which made him internally groan.
'Ah, the general. Now what will you do brother? Already you have more than likely insulted him by once again avoiding the use of his proper title, and let us not forget the fact that he now knows you were in fact slacking.' His brother said mentally, a quiet chuckle echoing in his mind. 'You should have listened to me earlier. This situation could have been avoided. Now, what will you do? If you agree to leave and go on the patrol, you may insult him further, by refusing his offer, but at the same time, if you agree to turn around and enter the restaurant you will have to sit here and face him as you eat. I suggest you think on it...carefully.'
He twitched slightly, and brought a hand up to run it through his hair as he listened to his brothers mocking words, and his warning. There were two options he could take, that were somewhat safe, and one he knew not to even try, because even he knew it would be an idiotic thing to do. Not because the other might be stronger, he didn't think that was true, though he didn't think he was necessarily weaker either, he just knew that the option of punching him in the face and walking away, was a bad idea.
『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart☬ 』 He sighed, and shrugged, looking up at the general but also gesturing down at the bag he held in his hand, his eyes meeting the others, the cold look that had been present before turning to a dull apathy. Pharos was right, he knew. He should just take him up on his offer, instead of further insulting the male. While he may not usually care about losing one payment or more, he knew he was pushing his luck, and that even if he didn't care, his brother did. He wasn't careless like Aquios was.
"Well, I suppose what I could do, is walk back to my table, join you for lunch, and then go on the patrol. If that's okay with you." He said, voice even, and once again more on the apathetic side as he stepped back, and held the door open for Vali. "I don't see why I can't take you up on your offer anyways, seeing as i'd just gotten done picking up food for you and the others, and was about to head to the office. Might as well sit down and eat while we are here."
'Not that difficult now was it?' Pharos' voice echoed in his mind, betraying the grin he would more than likely have on his face were he in control. He was enjoying this, he knew it. 'Also, would you look at that, you even have manners it seems! Holding the door open for your general, such a gentleman.'
'Would you just shut up!' He growled out mentally in response. He was getting annoyed now. First he was told to behave and then he was mocked for it. His brother needed to make up his mind.
'I could, yes, but then what would you do if he asked you a question and you did not know how to respond without further insulting him? Not like I can really tell you what to do to begin with, but I can make suggestions at least. Are you sure you want to handle this on your own?'
He sighed mentally and decided to just give up for now. Instead, he just gestured towards the table he had been sitting at before, barely hiding the slight aggravation that flashed through his eyes at his brothers mental scolding and mocking as he turned his gaze towards the people in the restaurant. Some of the people were still staring at him until then, even though now he was actually talking to someone who was actually there, and he just rolled his eyes in response. ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "If you were thinking of considering me your friend, you might as well give up now." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ Protecting The Fragile Flame That Flickers Deep Inside ☬ (Out Of Cognition smile

║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ VΛȽI ΣIЯΣȠDɄ ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ General Vali would have been far less insulted had the other refused his second offer. He preferred to eat alone under normal circumstances, but now he actually had to keep an eye on someone else while he ate.
It almost ruined his appetite, almost. Maybe it was his own caution that encouraged the thought to keep an eye on the mercenary. He didn't want them spreading what little he let them know out to the gangs after all.
He combed his fingers through his snow white hair, making his way inside, snatching up a menu on his way to the table. He sat down with the cross of his legs and his back straight. The proper posture that was expected of a military man during a meeting. Even if this wasn't one, he sat like this no matter where he was, unless he was alone, and that was only within the comforts of his own home.
He stared down at the menu in his hands, his gaze sweeping over the familiar list with his composed expression. Then he gestured for one of the wait staff to approach his table, reading off his order of a small sandwich and some coffee.
Once his order was taken, he closed the menu and handed it to her. Before resting both hands against each other, his attention shifting completely to Aquios.
"Of the two of you, you were the last one I expected to have lunch with, Aquios Xanthos." He remarked, in a stern voice, leaning his head back for a moment before glancing out the nearest window.
"Then again, I generally avoid having lunch with anyone." He added, his chin resting against the back of his hands. "I'm certain Pharos has already given you a scolding for using my name in such a familiar tone." He added, his voice almost darkening like a threat.Though the darkened expression didn't last for more than a moment, reverting back to being composed.
The coffee and sandwich were set down in front of him, and he took the time to pour some sugar into his coffee, and almost three drops of honey, before stirring and taking a calm drink from it.
"Then again, from the amount of time I've had to know you both. I'm hardly surprised at your lack of using the proper titles." He added, picking up the sandwich, taking a bite, and setting it back down.
"Did you spend your whole day here to avoid work?" He asked, depending on the answer he received the paycheck they received would be changed accordingly.║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ ϺΛЯϨҢϺΛȽȽϴШ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ I will never give in I will never give up You will be mine Dead or Alive

Hyo-Rin hated walking through crowds. People always shoved and it was always so loud and disorienting. She could deal with small crowds, but she always avoided the afternoon crowds unless absolutely necessary. Sadly, this was one of those necessary times. She needed to head to the office to turn in reports that she forgot to last night and patrol. She preferred patrolling at night, but with the amount of people avoiding the base someone had to fill in. So, while she headed out to pick some food up, she listened for any signs of trouble.
Children laughing, angry business man who needs coffee badly, one woman who needs to lay off the perfume, she thought coughing as the woman passed by. So far there was nothing that needed her immediate attention. At least, nothing she could hear.
She continued on, planning on stopping by one of the cafes that were down this street. Mostly she picked them by smell, never actually knowing which one she'd wander into till she was there. It was a method that worked well, except for the one time she had almost walked into someone's house. Luckily they were not upset and understanding. Sadly they didn't share their food, but that was beside the point. This time it wasn't the smell that caught her attention, but a voice. Listening she followed it, only bumping into a couple people. It sounded like she was close to a cafe or something. The food smelled okay at least. After a moment she heard the voice again. That is definitely the general, she thought.
She debated on going inside for a few moments. She could always ignore him and continue on. It's not like he could yell at her for not seeing him and she could always deny she heard him if he saw her. I could also just give him my reports now and go straight to patrol. He might still make her go to the office anyway, but it was worth a shot.
Taking a deep breath, she entered the cafe and carefully made her way over to the table he was sitting at. He was talking to someone, but she wasn't sure whom exactly. Probably another colleague based on what he was saying.
"Hello General. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Aquios ☬ Xanthos ☬ Pharos ☬ There Is Ice Behind These Eyes xxxxxxxxxxxx☬ Frost Behind That Grin xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx☬ A Blizzard Raging From Deep Within ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "I don't have to "try" and understand anything you or anyone else has to say." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ Aquios watched Vali closely as the male took in his response, his eyes narrowing a bit as he tried to take in how the other felt about his choice. After a moment, he blinked and the look of focus was gone, his attention drifting from the males expression and body language, to the people in the restaurant, who had finally gone back to looking at their own meals, their own conversations. He'd gleaned enough to know, even before the male had spoken, that the choice was not exactly the best one. Of course he'd never really thought it would have been anyways, seeing as the man clearly held no real trust in him to begin with.
"Well to be completely honest with you, I feel the same. I never imagined I'd have to, not only sit down at the same table as you, but eat in front of you as well. Not exactly my idea of a pleasant afternoon. I'm sure you feel the same." He said, his voice somewhere between cold and apathetic as he spoke, his gaze drifting over to Vali again, who he had noticed had placed his own order, despite having been told that he'd bought food for those in the office. He would say he wasn't annoyed, not even in the slightest, but that would be a lie. Not that he cared if the guy ate the food he paid for, but rather, he was more annoyed on behalf of his twin.
The other had been the one who'd wanted him to do this for them, therefore it was his idea to treat them to lunch, and in rejecting it, they had rejected what was technically his brothers gift.
'...You are actually annoyed by this? That certainly is a surprise. What reason should you have to be upset, over something that has nothing to do with you? It was my idea to buy it for them, if they do not eat it, if he does not eat it, then he does not. It really means little to me either way.' Pharos muttered in his mind, making it clear that something had thrown him off a bit, and Aquios couldn't help the slight grin that slid onto his face, his frustrations quickly forgotten as he realized something.
'Oh? What's wrong Pharos? Regretting the decision you made? We should have just walked away while we had the chance, now, though, we are stuck here dealing with someone who is even more annoyed with us than he was before, all because you messed up. Looks like even you can make a mistake when it comes to reading people.' He taunted mentally, his grin slipping away on the outside as he remembered that Vali had been speaking to him. Luckily he'd heard most of what he'd said.'No, I do not regret it, I am simply displeased with the results, and with my reading of the situation. I do not see a reason to regret my decision. Besides, you are the one who has to deal with the consequences, not me. This entire situation could have been avoided to begin with if you had just gone to work like you were supposed to from the start.'
『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart☬ 』 Aquios rolled his eyes at his brothers words, and opened his mouth to respond to Vali when suddenly someone was pushing past him, through the door he had yet to move away from. He looked towards the person who had moved past him, only half curious as to who it had been, but before he could really get a look at her, she was speaking, cutting him off before he could really respond to everything Vali was saying. This brought back the slight tinge of annoyance as he moved from the door and towards the table, bag still in hand. He stood a little to the side of the girl, Hyo-rin, his gaze drifting between her and Vali for a moment as she said she had hoped she wasn't interrupting anything to the other.
"No, not at all." He muttered, lifting the bag and placing it on the table, figuring he might as well since for some reason they had all ended up there in the end. He wasn't sure if the girl was going to stay but it didn't matter. If she wanted the food she could take it with her, or if she was staying, she could eat it there, it mattered little to him to be honest. Though actually...Maybe it did matter, in one way or another. A slight smile slid onto his face, though it wasn't the most comforting of smiles as he moved slightly and pulled the chair beside him back a bit, for Hyo-Rin. It wasn't because she was blind and he thought her incapable of managing it on her own, no, it was for his own reasons. "Actually, you more made it just in time I think. We were just about to sit down for lunch, Pharos and I decided to pick something up for everyone, but it seems we all somehow managed to find our way here, so maybe we should all just take this opportunity to sit down and eat, while we are here."
'Aquios? What are you doing?' He heard his brother ask, the others voice quiet, the question more rhetorical as he knew his brother knew the answer already. If Vali was uncomfortable with sitting down with him to eat, how would he respond to not only him, but another of his military personnel sitting down to join them as well? He was curious.
'Relax, I'm sure he's used to me being a bit of an a*****e at times by now. Even if he gets upset over it, it matters little to me. I'm sure he's already decided we aren't getting paid today anyways.' He responded mentally, as he moved to sit down in the chair that he hadn't pulled out for Hyo-rin to sit down in.
"As for a response to the things you asked before, yes, he did scold me for speaking to you without using the proper titles, but I am sure both you and I know that hardly has a chance of changing. I've never been good at calling people by their proper names. And as for whether I stayed here to avoid work or not.." He leaned forward a bit, elbow resting on the table top, head resting on his hand as he watched Vali, eyes holding a spark of cold amusement in them, his voice steady, holding no real hints at the possibility that he might be lying. "The answer is no, I didn't come here to skip out on work. I was thinking of stopping for food earlier today when on my way to the office, but couldn't quite find something I was in the mood for, when my twin suggested we stop here. Said we could pick something up for everyone back at the office while we were at it, both because he figured no one had eaten yet, and because he wanted me to pick up food as an apology for being a bit late today due to the food hunt. I was getting ready to head to the office when we ran into you, and you know the rest of that story."☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "If you were thinking of considering me your friend, you might as well give up now." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ Protecting The Fragile Flame That Flickers Deep Inside ☬ (Out Of Cognition: bleh sorry if it wasn't great but there you go. When Hyo-Rin approached them it took him by surprise, even if his expression was hidden behind his hands. "Sergeant, no you're not interrupting anything important." He answered as well, though he did pause when he noticed Aquios choice of actions.
It was brief, and the reaction on his expression would have gone unnoticed to those who weren't observant enough to catch it.There was a glare as his gaze narrowed and his teeth clenched. The irritation was gone as quickly as it had shown itself. He had noticed that smile on Aquios' face, and it didn't take him long to figure out his intentions for it.
He had done it on purpose, just to see how he'd react. His steepled fingers clenched against his hands and he lowered them from the table, masking his dropped composure behind a sip of his coffee. There was no point in trying to deny what Aquios set in motion. So he let it continue, there was an exhale, quiet and calming through his nose, and his composure returned.
He wasn't allowed to let his emotions get the better of him, his power would only react accordingly. He couldn't allow that in a place like this, he was better than that. He took another drink of his coffee, feeling the scalding heat against his tongue, tasting the bitterness mixed with those few sweet drops of honey.
It wasn't enough to sate his hunger, but he wouldn't remove any of the marshmallows from the pouch in his pocket. Well, it's been a long time since anyone's tried to get under his skin like that. There was signs of an amused smirk at the corner of his lips, that one he allowed to remain as he met Aquios' gaze, briefly, before shifting his attention to Hyo-Rin.
"Was there something you needed, Sergeant?" He asked, calmly as his arms crossed against his chest staring up at her, composed once more.║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ ϺΛЯϨҢϺΛȽȽϴШ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ I will never give in I will never give up You will be mine Dead or Alive

Hyo-Rin pretended she didn't hear Aquios mutter under his breath. Instead, she turned to him and smiled. "Oh, I wasn't expecting you to be here." She heard him pull out a chair and after a moment pull out another. Guess that one's for me, she thought, grabbing the first chair and sitting down. She also made sure to direct her attention to the General. "Sorry for the intrusion."
She turned back to Aquios when he started speaking again. It wasn't something she had to do, but it was a habit she had. "That's very kind of both of you." She said, grabbing one of the boxes. "This saves me from having to get myself something. Thank you." She opened up that container carefully. It smelled good. Chicken, ranch, was that bacon? She picked up what felt like a wrap and carefully took a bit out of it. Chicken ranch wrap, not bad.
She sat there enjoying her food while Aquios continued his conversation with the General. It seemed like they had been talking about work before she came in. Hearing about his lack of titles wasn't surprising. He never addressed her with any title either, but she didn't care. She only used them cause she had to. Also, his story was similar to hers and why she wasn't currently at the office. Today was just one of those days apparently.
She was about half way through her wrap when the general addressed her. Setting it down she turned to him, "Not particularly. I was wondering if I could hand in my report now and go ahead and start my patrol. I understand if you aren't going to the office right away. I would just like to get my patrol started as soon as possible."

Aquios ☬ Xanthos ☬ Pharos ☬ There Is Ice Behind These Eyes xxxxxxxxxxxx☬ Frost Behind That Grin xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx☬ A Blizzard Raging From Deep Within ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "I don't have to "try" and understand anything you or anyone else has to say." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ From the corner of his eyes, he caught Hyo-Rin turning towards him, and he flicked his gaze in her direction to see what she was doing, only to near instantly shift it away again, grimacing a bit. He wasn't sure why, but for some reason he always felt a bit unnerved by the fact that she almost seemed to be looking at him, even though there was no way she actually was. She was blind, and she never once, at least not in front of him, had even opened her eyes. There weren't many things that could make him uncomfortable, but that did. He wasn't really sure why, couldn't find a reasonable explanation for it. Maybe it had to do with the girl herself? No, he doubted that. It was probably just that despite her being blind, she always somehow managed to look in either the exact direction he was in, or near it, even if he was completely silent, even if he masked his presence. He barely even managed to catch her words when she spoke to him.
"It's no big deal, happens often enough, and eat whatever you want, I got a few different things just in case." He said in response, not letting onto his uneasiness, at least not through his voice as he once again found his gaze back on Vali, just in time to catch his reaction to his inviting Hyo-Rin to eat with them. He wouldn't lie, it was a bit surprising, that the other actually slipped up and let just a quick flash of his emotions through the cold, indifferent mask he often wore. It was enough to bring a grin to Aquios face though, and he chuckled, the sound quiet, dark, and cold. He didn't even care if Hyo-Rin heard him.
'You are really pushing your luck. Are you trying to get us fired Aquios? I mean really.....wait...Is he....amused?' His brother asked, as they both caught sight of the smirk the other flashed at them. Aquios blinked slowly, and tilted his head a bit, the grin falling a little as he watched him, only slightly confused by the sudden change in his behavior, and also curious. He studied him for a bit longer, before he decided to turn his gaze back to Hyo-Rin as the general went back to talking to her.
『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart☬ 』 Ah, she was here to drop off a report. It seemed everyone but him and Pharos had already started and perhaps, completed their work for the afternoon. Not like he cared, though. He sighed, and turned his gaze to the window, so he could look out at the people passing by once again, only this time, he noticed the sidewalk seemed oddly empty of people. He didn't sense anything odd however, and couldn't see any signs that something might be wrong, but he supposed that didn't mean much. Maybe he should excuse himself, and start his patrol a little earlier. Not that he cared about the safety of the people around him, but it was his job to help make sure things went smoothly in the city.
"Hmm, speaking of patrolling...I think I may just head out now. Not that it hasn't been fun, but I'm already pretty late on starting, and I figure I should actually do something useful." He said, before standing up from the chair, and slipping carefully from between it and Hyo-Rin. He would have honestly preferred to stay there and pester the general a little more, but he felt he should get moving now, while he had the chance.
'Make sure the food gets back to the office. There are still others there who more than likely have not had time to get food. Some people actually do their work when they are supposed to after all, and they probably have not had a chance to stop and eat yet. Pharos called out mentally, bringing Aquios gaze to the bag of food that still sat on the table.
'What does that matter to me? It wasn't even my idea to get the stuff, or to feed them. Besides, I hardly ever see anyone else there, it would just go to waste.' He responded, pausing at the end of the table, gaze flicking to both the general and Hyo-Rin. He supposed it would be a waste, he had spent money on it after all. Also, if no one else ate it, there was always Vali and the girl. He sighed, and waved at the bag of food on the table.
"Feel free to take this with you, either of you. I'm not really all that hungry anymore, and I probably won't be back at the office for a bit, since I am going out patrolling. Now, as much fun as it's been, I think I'll take my leave." He gave a mock bow, before he turned and started for the door to the restaurant. He didn't want to stay there longer than necessary, and he only hoped they let him go in peace, instead of calling him back to the table, or following him. He was tired of playing "nice" and just wanted a few minutes to himself. ☬ ___________________________________________________________________________ "If you were thinking of considering me your friend, you might as well give up now." ___________________________________________________________________________ ☬ Protecting The Fragile Flame That Flickers Deep Inside ☬ (Out Of Cognition: Sorry for the shitty post. "I would prefer you delivered your report to my office, rather than hand it to me here. I understand you want to start your patrol as soon as possible, but you're welcome to hand in your report after your patrol and cover your patrol in your report as well." He answered, his gaze shifting to Aquios as he made his exit.
"Aquios. I'll be expecting your report on my desk when you complete your patrol as well." He called to him, there was no need to raise his voice. He brought the coffee to his lips once more, taking another sip of the hot liquid. Then he actually took another bite of his sandwich, deciding to eat it since he had spent the money on it to begin with, even if to him it wasn't enough to sate his hunger. He would endure eating it for now, he was in the company of one of his squad members, that was enough to force him to act like it was more than just a substance to sustain him.║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ ϺΛЯϨҢϺΛȽȽϴШ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ I will never give in I will never give up You will be mine Dead or Alive

The only good thing that came out of patrolling was that it forced Leon to move around. That was about it. Other than that the streets were too crowded and the people were too noisy. Sure it beat the hell out of sticking around headquarters with the loud mouths there. Either way there was nothing pleasant about staying there or walking around. Unfortunately for the general, Leon's report was the same as usual because nothing ever happened around here except for petty conflicts. Most of the time Leon was tempted to write 'same s**t new day' on it. At least he was done.
With a heavy sigh he stuck his hands in his pockets, trying to figure out what to do with himself. He already finished up and turned in the report back at the office, but now he was just out and about. There were other things he could be doing, though he didn't quite feel like getting to them just yet. Not unless directly ordered. It would be better if he just got down to it before the general got pissy with him. Though, Vali could deal with it whether he liked it or not.
As Leon continued to wander aimlessly, he pushed by crowds of people and occasionally told them to 'go ******** themselves'. Perhaps the office was better than this. His patience was slowly wearing thin and he was about to lose it. At least until he saw Aquios leave Queens Junction. Well. That was the last person he expected to see here. Looking back over the restaurant he saw the faint silhouette of Vali and Hyo-rin. Take that back Vali was more unexpected than Aquios.
While he wasn't entirely hungry Leon entered the restaurant anyway. Perhaps the general would give him something new to do. Though, Vali looked annoyed. Somehow Leon wasn't surprised by this, especially not after who he saw leave the area. Regardless, Leon made his way over to the table and took a seat. "Hope you don't mind the interruption, General." He said flatly before looking over at Hyo-rin, "and Sergeant." He added.

Hyo-Rin had just taken another bite when Aquios announced his departure. She quickly smiled and waved in his direction. She wasn't sure what she would do with he food if Vali didn't eat any. I could always give it too someone that needs it, she thought. She often came across homeless and people who were less fortunate whenever she was on patrol.
It was difficult not to show her irritation at Vali refusing to take her report, but she managed. She didn't want to have to add on to it with todays events, as making her reports took a considerable amount of time. The software on her computer wasn't the greatest at translating speech and she often had to go through it five or six times before it was free of errors.
"I understand. I'll go ahead and start my patrol after lunch and then I will have both reports to you as soon as possible," she stated evenly. More like tomorrow morning, because I'm not coming in at midnight.
Hyo-Rin was finishing up her wrap when she heard someone approach their table. The gait was familiar, but not one she could place off the top of her head. Of course, as soon as he spoke she realized who it was.
"Hello, Lieutenant General, we were just having lunch." She turned to look in his direction. "Did you need something or are you here for a lunch break as well. Aquios bought food already if you are. Feel free to take some," she said, gesturing to the table where she grabbed her own food.

Even if he could tell how annoying it must be for her, she wasn't the one who would need to read every single report before handing it in to those who worked above them. He'd rather have all of the reports turned in at once, rather than make several-
His thoughts were cut off when he heard Leon speak up, did I upset some higher power this week? It's starting to feel like it. "Not at all Lieutenant General Dell." He made a dismissive gesture to the food that the Xanthos brothers had purchased and left behind in offering.
"What can I do for you?" He asked, remaining professional and restraining any hints of his own discomfort and irritation. He finally finished eating the sandwich, so all he had left was the coffee to finish. He wasn't planning to have eaten the sandwich in its entirety but it seemed he wasn't given much of a choice in the matter.
He didn't feel like he had eaten a sandwich at all though, it wasn't satisfying to him in the slightest, more like an emptiness in his stomach that he would ignore for the rest of the day. Perhaps on his patrol or when he returned to the office he'd eat some marshmallows. He quietly made plans to purchase a bag on his way out if the restaurant had any.
He tried to force the thoughts of his own hunger to the back of his mind so he could focus on the conversation that was occurring in front of him.║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ ϺΛЯϨҢϺΛȽȽϴШ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ I will never give in I will never give up You will be mine Dead or Alive

Leon looked over at Hyo-rin before glancing over at Vali. Well this was a rather dead and uneventful lunch break. Not that he was complaining, it wasn't like they had to be best buddies, they just had to work together. Personally he saw them enough as is during the day. Once was enough and he rather not see them at all. But that wasn't possible.
"Not exactly, Ive finished my work and turned in the reports."He said directing that at both of them. Leon then looked at the bag before Hyo-rin. Why were the brother's wasting his time with that? Whatever, it didn't matter. "I might head back to the office to work on some minor stuff, if you want I can take that with me for those over there."Leon offered, starting to tap on the table. He honestly didn't want to but might as well get it of Hyo-rin's hands. Especially if she still had other things to do, though more importantly he didn't want to go back to the office. One of the privates pissed him off this morning and he didn't feel like going back just yet. Not to mention it would be awkward to have flipped a table, leave, and then come back with food.
It didn't matter that the food wasn't from him because he was still doing them a favor by bring back food. Speaking of the table flip, hopefully Vali didn't choose to go back to the office anytime soon, as it was probably still a s**t show. Not like this wasn't anything new.
((OOC: Not something I actually wrote in that forum, cause i didnt want to just post a table flip and then go here xD ))
