It is actually a tool for html but can be used as a substitute for photoshop. Although it has no drawing application. Paint.net is a free application that made me able to draw the two pictures posted here.

When I heard you say Paint, I almost thought you meant Paint.ink.

huffnut XD I heard Photoshops good, too. What do you think? photoshop has options that allow you to edit photos and draw. Fireworks is for editing the format of the picture. Say you finsh with pfotoshop and you want your picture to look like it was made of marble or have a frame. Fireworks can do that. You could also make the background black and white and only what you wanted to be in color. Fireworks can also alter color. One project in school was to make the yellow of the yolk green. Photoshop is drawing and editing clarity. In Photoshop, you can draw or take a picture, adjust the shadows, brightness, etc. You can also edit the picture to sepia, polarized, etc. The two can go hand in hand.

Makes sense seeing as they're both made by Adobe.

I just wish my trial hadn't run out.

You could make gifs? Yeah the program can do that. It comes in a program called adobeCS6 suite. I tried to get fireworks CS3 but I would need a product key to activate it. I heard CS3 was free but I can't seem to get a key for it.
