Welcome to the character roster.
If you see any errors or omissions please don't hesitate to let us know! Drop a PM to TawnyAngel or ConcinnityBlaise.
Characters are listed by their primary role so for example headwoman On'ya of blue Verth is listed under Weyrfolk not under retired riders.
Characters who hold high rank are subject to activity requirements and cannot be duplicated.
Wingleaders & Huntleaders: If the character is inactive without notice for more than three months we will contact the player to see if they are still able to commit the time to playing them. If not then the character may be demoted due to illness, injury, or may have been transferred elsewhere; the reason will be up to their player if they respond to our query. Players may return to the character later but there is no guarantee of them getting their old rank back.
Wingseconds: As above but the period of inactivity is six months.
Masters: While Masters are free to create within the limits of availability* you cannot make a Master with the same speciality as an existing PC, though you may have the same speciality as an NPC. PC Masters will be in charge of their area of expertise - within reason - but answer to any overall authority there may be such as Weyrharper. If a PC Master goes inactive the same rules apply for them as for Wingleaders and Huntleaders but they will not be moved from their post unless somebody else is interested in it. In this case the previous Master will be assumed to have transferred elsewhere. Players may return to them at a later date but they will answer to the newer Master.
*As Masters are very expensive for the Weyr to pay and keep the Weyr can't afford to have too many of them. The availability of Masters is listed below as unnamed NPCs. If you wish to make a Master with an unlisted speciality please contact Tawny or Con to chat.
Other high ranks: For roles such as Weyrmistress, Weyrleader, Senior Investigator and so on rules are the same as for Wingleaders and Huntleaders.
High-ranking wings: If Wings one through three should become full, characters who have been absent for an extended period of time may be shifted into other wings or assumed to have transferred in order to free up space for new recruits.
Random NPCs: NPCs in various roles may sometimes be added to this list. If you would like one added let us know; so long as they're not in a restricted role (like a Master or a wingleader) we'll be happy to add them in for you and others to use and refer to.
