Cobaltite was puffed as he sank down to the floor on a sidestreet. Not sitting of course - like he was going to wreck his uniform (resistant as it was) by sitting on some dirty floor. That and he didn't particularly want to get his bottom wet : a light rain was drizzling over destiny city tonight, which had prevented some from coming out on patrol. Kail was selfishly glad - nobody around meant nobody was seeing the fool he made of himself trying to run as fast as he could, jump as high as he could, punch things....work out, basically. After his encounter with Merlinite, he'd become more and more determined to try and improve his (weedy) physique. And even with the negaverse's gifts, he was still rather low on the power scale. Stronger than a civilian, surely - but weaker than most of the powered people in destiny city. But we digress. The rain was good for Cobaltite, overall.
It did however mean there were less targets to drain energy from, which was on balance a negative thing. He'd managed to drain a few people, but it was late at night and nowadays with everything that was going on, people were a lot more careful - even for kids with big eyes and fluffy hair (which Cobaltite used to his advantage in tricking people most of the time.) Musing this over, Cobaltite looked up as he felt an aura approaching - it felt more like a chaos aura, but being new to this, he was never quite sure....

Coffinite's lack of experience with Destiny City was evident in his caution moving about. He hid during the day, and in roaming often got lost, but, one thing familiqr was rain. Light, drtizzly, cool wet falling from above as he roamed, looking about with idle interest. To be sure, he wasn't worried by rain - he was a native to Seattle, normally, and rain was more common, but tonight it drizzled and cleared streets, making a hunt difficult, and he was all but frustrated when he felt and aura of Chaos. Of course, chaos was all he knew to feel, and the lieutenant looked up, multiple eyes blinking as he crossed a set of arms, one pair folding behind him idly, and the last scratching his head curiously as he approached, head tilting with the calm, predatory gaze of a hunter. This was going to be interesting. "Hello."

As the aura approached, Cobaltite opened his eyes and stood up with a slight groan, tired muscles protesting the use. His weapon was currently being carried over his back, the oversized plushie adding weight to his training, despite having no real use otherwise. Cobaltite wouldnt' say he despised his weapon, but he was beginning to dislike it's uselessness. From what he'd seen though, it would improve as he ranked up - and it was big enough to give someone quite a whack, so there was that! His poor eyesight wasn't helped by the dark and the rain, and he squinted as Coffinite approached, raising a hand in hello even before the shapes began to form into a person. ...What a person. Cobaltite blinked, and before he could help it he'd replied. "Hi. Are you a youma?" He'd seen youma before, but not ones in uniform. And generally they didn't talk, or bother acknowledging him as he was only a Lt. Maybe this one was different?

Coffinite's head tilted as he considered how to answer, stopping close to te bespectacled boy and tilting his head. Only one pair of arms rubbed his chin, and he had to consider his answer carefully. "Not entirely I suppose." Coffinite stated calmly. "But Sh'kkoth never was clear in our agreement. I'm Coffinite." He responded, introducing himself calmly. He took in the other lieutenant's appearance carefully, tilting his head idly. He seemed interesting enough, at least. "And you?"

Cobaltite was simultaneously wary and incredibly fascinated by Coffinite, and he was dying to touch the other's limbs. How did they work? How did the muscles attach? Were his rib bones warped to allow for the extra shoulder joints? Presumably there was an extra shoulder joint, otherwise he wouldn't have the full rotation movement... "Agreement?" He queried, before giving his name in return. "Lieutenant Cobaltite." He responded, sticking out a hand for a handshake. (A subtle ploy, but also because it was polite!)

"Mmm." The Lieutenanty nodded, one hand taking Cobaltite's to shake. On some level he was amused - he was still working out his hand dominants, and the other Lieutenant hummed thoughtfully. "So are you new in town or simply to the Negaverse as well?" He was curious! This was a new agent, one he was not used to - it reminded him of home, in some ways. The unused arms crossed idly-- not to close, but for lack of things to do, and he smirked faintly. "I didn't know there were many of us grunts." Not that he planned to play grunt forever. Oh, no. Not at all.

Cobaltite couldn't resist quickly examining the other's hand and arm - or at least what could be seen visually. He was getting better at social overtures through rote of being shouted at - so as much as he wanted to, he didn't roll the other's sleeve up or start pressing at joints, but he did turn his hand slightly to observe the rotation. "Neat." He acknowledged, before reluctantly releasing coffinite's hand. "A bit of both! I moved here a couple of months ago after the custody agreement was changed - mother now has more regular access, which required me not to be several hundred miles away." It was odd how Cobaltite's voice went a little flat when he referred to his mother. Or perhaps not, if you knew of their strained relationship. "And the Lieutenant thing is new too. As for how many of us there are...so far I've met you, a Captain and a General." He frowned as he realised how little he'd actually met. "But there's got to be more than that... a lot more..."

Coffinite listened, head tilting in curiousity as Cobaltite spoke. However, he also seemed curious about his hands, and the Lieutenant calmly stretched all six arms towards Cobaltite idly, grinning. "By all means, if you're curious." He shrugged. "I just arrived myself. I'm from Seattle -- and you?" He grinned idly.

Cobaltite lit up, that was the only word for it. Lit up and then started to talk. And didn't stop for some time. "How do they work? I mean I know like regular arms presumably but how do the muscles connect, are your ribs different because of the extra shoulder joints? Are there extra shoulder joints? I mean considering the range of movement you have I'm assuming so. What deal did you make? And you mentioned uh Sh'kkoth?" His pronounciation wasn't the best, but the intent was there. As he was talking he ran his hands up and down Coffinite's arms, pressing lightly and the joints and bending them if allowed, testing the range of motion - not painfully, he was careful to stop if there was even the lightest resistance. "I lived in Europe for a while - Spain, Italy. We moved a lot." This was spoken almost absently, with nowhere near the laser-like focus of his earlier questions.

Attention was nice, and Coffinite settled agreeably to being prodded in exchange for the focus. "I'm not sure. Sh'kkoth was a spider I think. I was told it was a youma -- I... Don't recall well beyond it being mutually beneficial?" He blinked and tilted his hea. "Is Europe nice?" He asked, curiously.

Cobaltite had finished his prodding, and he reluctantly let go of Coffinite's arm and relaxed his arms to his sides, his sleeves falling to cover his small hands yet again. "So you bonded with a spider youma? Neat. Can you still like, power up and power down, or are yous stuck now? Europe was....different? Some parts of it were very nice, others not so much."

"All you see is all I am...." Coffinite said, and sighed a bit. "I don't mind, but it is tricky at times blending in." He tilted his head. "I'd rather prefer to travel myself. Sometime, perhaps on duty." The Negaverse agent shrugged to his fellow, smiling some. He was feeling like he was well admired - a trait he decided he appreciated in the fellow called Cobaltite, and he motioned. "You look like winter will be warm for you."

"Travelling's nice, especially if you do it with someone you care about. And I hope so, I don't like the cold." Cobaltite nodded. That made logical sense - youma couldn't hide themselves from humans as far as he was aware, so it made sense if you bonded to that extent with a youma, you couldn't hide yourself either. Then something occured to him and he frowned. "Wait, does that mean you always have an aura, which means Senshi could sense you whilst you're asleep or resting or..?"

"Mmnnn, perhaps. I'll know someday." Coffinite smiled again, fangs peering from his lips before he nodded. "You'd not like Seattle then. Very cool and drizzly. Summer gets hotter, though." Coffinite stretched some, then stopped. "I don't know. What's a senshi?" Admittedly his corruption had been - abnormal at best, the result of experimentation on behalf of the Negaverse. "Are they a problem?"

Cobaltite nodded seriously at the question, unconsciously hugging himself at the thought of senshi. "Senshi are our...opposites, kinda? Well not really, we're closer to Knights I guess, but they're the pure version of corrupted senshi? Have you met any corrupted senshi? They're alien invaders, I guess. The story is that their moon princess tried to seduce the earth prince and take over earth. Anyway, whatever the truth is, they're not...great. They tend to attack you. Violently."
