It had been one of the longest and most exhausting nights of her life. Vosin had been stumbling by the end of the night. It had taken all her concentration to feed and oil the demanding dragon that was now hers for life. With that first important chore completed the new weyrling pair had been lead to a temporary bed in one of the old goldrider weyrs. She had been asleep the moment her head touched the pillow.
The next morning the new group of weyrlings were sorted and assigned their bunks. It took several trips with Killakeeth following at her heels, but she moved the last of her stuff into the weyrling room she was going to share. Vosin was nervous. Who would they assign to her? More than anyone, she wanted her twin. Already while she'd been moving her stuff she'd been thinking about it. Whoever she got assigned with she'd ask if they'd mind switching with Vesin, or if Ves' roommate wouldn't mind switching with her.
Then there was what Vesin would think. The teen glanced down at the pale gold leaning against her leg affectionately. She had impressed to a gold, whilst her twin had a green. Was this something that would separate them for the rest of their lives? She hoped not. With the last of her stuff on her bed, she finally heard footsteps outside the door and turned to see who her bunkmate was. The young dragon followed her rider curiously back and forth several times. Full arms heading to the bunk, and empty heading back toward the old weyr. Once even Killakeeth carried something. Mostly it was curiosity. She was constantly asking Hers what this item was or what was that for. Thankfully by the time she figured out this wasn't fun, they were done. Killa twisted her head on her neck as she, like her rider, heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Her tail twitched.

The past day and a half or so for Vesin seemed to drag on forever. Not that it wasn't in a good way, it was of course. It was just difficult becoming adjusted to have a dragon at her side all day. A pleasant change to make, especially with the upcoming room assignments that had Vesin quite anxious. In the time of the Weyrhold, the gold weyrling always got a room to herself, and Vesin wondered if they were changing that. In any case, she had been told which room was hers, but surprisingly, not who her room mate was. She hoped she liked them, and maybe she could just convince someone to switch rooms with her or let her stay in Vosin's room. She'd probably sneak in there anyway.
Vesin had made a make shift back with most of her stuff in it, as Vosin had been moving a lot of her stuff out of their candidate room but her twin had just picked up the last of her stuff as Ves finished grabbing whatever her twin didn't take. They'd talk enough to where they could continue sharing each other's stuff. Attempting to take as much as possible in one trip, her arms were full and even Xibath pulled along a boot or two. Finding the room was no problem, she paused for a moment outside the door before turning the handle and peeking inside.
Xibath was, for the most part, happy that hers had tried to take only one trip and was happy to help out. And when the door was opened, she plodded on in happily. It wasn't until she got in and saw the pair of eyes watching the door that she dropped the boot she had in her mouth and peeked back at Vesin happily. It was clear that the green was happy. She moved into the room more so that hers could get in and set her stuff down on the bed on the opposite wall.
Vesin rushed in happily as Xi told her the news and promptly dropped most of her stuff on the floor next to the entry before leaping towards her sister on the bed, laughing the whole time. "OH I was so hoping they'd room us together!" She said once she stopped laughing excitedly. "And I'm glad to see you Killakeeth."
Xibath rumbled happily, placing herself a little ways away from the others. She told Killakeeth honestly.

Nilah44 Lol I love Xi pulling a boot. As she had carried her piles back and forth between the two barracks, Vos had seen Ves slowly gathering everything up into one big pile. She hadn't managed to gather up her courage to ask which bunk her twin had been assigned to by her last load. The teen shifted uneasily from foot to foot as she tried to come up with the best way to tell her new roommate that she didn't want to share a room with them. She'd probably end up looking pretty stupid.
Her eyes widened as a familiar green strutted in as the door was timidly opened. Was Ves coming in to check on her bunk and see who her new roommate was? However Vesin was still carrying her stuff from the candidate barracks, which was promptly dropped on the floor. Her twin's reaction pleased Vos more than words could. She grin and laughed as she gave Ves a tight hug.
"I was too! Here I was afraid I'd have to ask my new roommate to move in with someone else or I was moving out," Vosin said so her twin could share in the humor. Looked like she wasn't going to make an dimglow of herself after all! Once she'd manage to pull away from Ves, she glanced at all the stuff now on the floor and grinned sheepishly. "How about we help each other unpack?" Seeing Vesin flying for her rider, the gold politely moved out of the way of the girls. She hurred in amusement at the reunion. You were only separated for a few minutes, the dragon commented to both girls. Likewise Vesin. Killakeeth settled herself in her temporary wallow and looked toward her green sibling. Yes Xibath. I fear mine was ready to make other arrangements to be sure she bunked with her twin. It didn't bother her too much who she shared with, but it made her rider happy so she was happy.
