Biroki's hands blazed as he began his spell. "I'm honored that you would want to practice with me, Sauron... he said. Flames gathered between his hands, bright and deceptively cheery, illuminating his white, night-shifted skin a pale, shimmering red-gold. "I should w-warn you, though." he said, moving slowly, his eyes on Sauron's lance. It was as if Biroki was the pitcher and Sauron the hitter, staring at each other from across the mound, a perfect analogy if baseball existed in Tendaji. The fire spun in Biroki's hands, compressing into something like a miniature star as he prepared to throw it. "I am a sorcerer. We specialize in damage." he paused, "And I know you are inexperienced, so if you see what I can do want to forfeit and wait until later, that will be fine. H-however..." his forearm whipped forward, the ball of flame flying towards Sauron, becoming a comet of searing heat as it arced towards the younger shifter. "I will not go easy on you!" said Biroki over the sudden howl of heat as the fireball exploded...

Speed || 18 (+3)(+0) = (+3) Dodge Attempt Sauron got more and more nervous as the ball of fire in Biroki's hands got bigger. "Well I didn't see a lot of battle this time around due to my recent acceptance into fatherhood, so I thought I would try to keep sharp you know."
Sauron sidled in place and tried to flail out of the way when Biroki hurled the fire at him. He was sadly out of practice and had never before went up against magic. He shuddered as the fire hit him.. it was unpleasant and it burned! Ugh. He nearly missed that first battle when he hadn't even been touched...of course he had sparred with an alkidike after and she had grounded him rather quickly..on his bum. He had a feeling he was about to get trounced again.16 - hald damage. Sauron wiggled his darn best but still got half covered in earth, the feel of the dirt on his wounds was enough to make him go lights out.

Biroki was powerful, and he knew it, but it was startling to see just how powerful he was. He pulled back some of the fire - he didn't want to go easy on the guy, but he also didn't want to kill him.
"Th-that's good..." Biroki managed, concerned, "Being a father is..." his words of wisdom were interrupted by a sharp kick to the shin. "Difficult." he said, deciding to try something different.
His magic wormed it's bright, shining strands into the earth, pulling at it. Drawn by his magic, stones rose from the ground, spinning in place as he aimed the unfamiliar element carefully.
"You need to p-protect them..." he stated, sending the stones flying at Sauron, "From anything."

He attempted to wriggle away with his lovely, pinchy new burns...he still felt like he was on fire.. nothing like a little dirt in a burn ick. Trying to find patches that were not pre-fried he scuttled as best as he could. "A son and a daughter and a huge world of mean toothy things. Some quadrupeds others bipedal. All the things, I feel feel better when they are a little bigger...less snack sized you know?"Dodge attempt

”I have two girls. he said, flinching, ”Had.” he corrected, remembering Ikuri and the... supposed... manner of her death. ”You can't protect them from everything but...” he smiled, ”You have to try.” he looked the man up and down, inspecting him for other injuries – besides the burns, he was fine, which wasn't saying much. It was like saying that, besides the fangs and claws and wild nature, Radaku were completely safe. ”I didn't hold back.” he said apologetically, ”Do you... have anybody training you?”

"Im glad you didn't hold back Biroki, I need to know what I could be up against and combat it as best as I can." He felt a stabbing pang in his heart, had this man lost both his children? He suppressed a shudder. "Thank you very much for the healing, its most appreciated I think Kelina would have flailed me herself after I healed."
Sauron paused. "No I don't have anyone training me, I havnen't looked yet do you, er do you have any recommendations?" He asked hopefully. His face lighting up a bit. He held out his hand for a shake, feeling that was the right thing to do, respect went a long way and Biroki was most deserving of it. Very masterful in his magic arts which Sauron might never understand.
