It had been three days since she'd last been to the community center. A little over twenty-four hours at the hospital, to replenish fluids after the blood loss, then an evening to rest, enforced by one very protective blonde. Frankly, even if Navi had wanted to go out, it would have been a real challenge. The hospital had given her pills, for the pain, and those, combined with how very tired she was, meant she had ended up sleeping for close to thirteen hours. When she'd woken up she'd been a little frantic, unsure of what day it was, but it was very obvious her body had needed the uninterrupted rest. Of course that was three days away from Chaonis after the senshi had found her frightened and bleeding. Three days of not knowing if she was alright, or if anything had come from her heroic deeds the night of the battle. He was probably frantic. She would have been. So despite the soft haze of painkillers, the bandage on her neck, Lydia powered up on that third night and slipped through the mirror, exiting in the community center. His aura hung heavily within the building, and a soft smile touched delicate features as she climbed the stairs, aiming for their secret little get away. The last time the DMC had been here she'd been terrified, hurt. There had been blood on the floor, bandages scattered about. They'd left a mess. As she stepped in now, pale eyes went wide as they landed on the giant bear, the flowers, the careful arrangement and the spotless floor. It had all been cleaned up, every last drop of her blood, and instead, there were flower petals, and little boxes, and countless gifts carefully set out. "Oh my God." Soft, shocked, she stood there for a long moment, just taking it all in. Her Fiyero had been busy.

Chaonis was heading over to their spot to see if Navi was coming around tonight. He was not sure what her schedule might be, or how long she needed to be in hospital to recover, or at home, but he was going to go to their usual meeting areas and check for her every night until they crossed paths again.
Chaonis felt a familiar aura and moved to follow the feeling, using one of the usual methods of getting into the community center and then downstairs. He saw her there and smiled, moving to her.
"Hey," he said, seeing that she was looking around her surroundings, taking in all the flowers and presents he had gotten for her. He felt a little silly now, looking at it all, but he couldn't help himself.
He just wanted her to know this place was still safe, and he was going to make sure it stayed that way. As long as he was there, he would do everything he could to make her life good.
"I uh. Where did all this come from?" he asked, pretending to be as shocked as she was, but failing spectacularly by grinning and looking at her in a completely guilty and goofy way. He was just too happy to see her, up and about, after what had happened. He moved over to her and hugged her lightly, as if still scared he might hurt her.
"I missed you."

That feigned innocence made her grin, and when he reached for her, arms wrapping around her as if she might break, she hugged him, tightly. Up on tip toes, she turned her head to press her face in against the side of his neck, breathing in that familiar, comforting scent that was all him, the man she loved. "I missed you, too." A delicate kiss brushed against the edge of his jaw. "I'm sorry you had to worry." Small hands slid to his cheeks, guiding him down to her so she could catch his lips in a kiss. Not soft this time, but firm and lingering. She wasn't some breakable china doll he hand to handle with care. She was still Navi, still an eternal in her own right. Even if she looked fragile, she was tough. And maybe the touch of vicodin still sat heavily in her system, a comfortable fog resting over her mind. It made it easy to forget the other night, to think of nothing but him in that moment as she clung to him, traced her tongue along his lips, made soft little noises against his mouth.

Chaonis was quick to let her kiss him, smiling against her lips for a moment, but he felt her getting a bit too into and he laughed, breaking away from the kiss and catching her hands, shaking his head slowly.
"Maybe not yet, eh? I think you're still recovering, and while I'm totally into it, I think it's a little soon. Anyway, didn't you want to look at all this swag?"
He grinned at her, though it was very difficult for him. He missed her even though it had only been three days. He supposed it was tied to the fact that he could have very easily lost her to Painite, instead of her just being injured. And it was not like it was a small wound, anyway. It had just been scary, and he had been trying to make himself feel better with all this effort, as much as he was trying to help her.
"Are you alright? You look woozy."
He imagined she had to still be on something for the pain, as wounds like that did not just get bandaged up and forgotten. He hoped she was not out and about too soon, but neither of them seemed to be particularly good at making reasonable decisions when they had to.
Anyway, he needed to keep her distracted so he did not hurt her worse than she already was. Reckless and dangerous he was, but not where Navi was concerned.

She looked absolutely dazed when they parted, and a soft sound of protest followed before she remembered that she was indeed still hurt. It really wasn't a good idea,no matter how much it seemed at the time, though the disappointment did show on freckle dusted features. "Woozy?" A second of confusion, then she gave a small shake of her head. "Not much. Just a touch fuzzy." He did have one point, an she turned in his arms, leaning back against him as hazel eyes took in the room and everything that had been placed within it. The flowers first. Stepping away, a hand trailing down his arm to grasp his, she lingered on each and every arrangement. They were beautiful, even if some were a little on the worn side. Too long cut, he'd been gathering them up for days, and it showed. "Beautiful." All of it, every lost blossom. Navi had gotten flowers before, a time or two, both nothing even close to this. The petals were soft beneath her fingertips, the fragrance was sweet. It looked like a garden. She grinned as she saw the little boxes of chocolates, trailing fingers over the top of one before moving across the small room--taking Chaonis with her, her hand still holding his--to look at the bear. It was large, almost as large as she was, and he'd dressed it up himself. "Danger bear," she mused, touching the goggles. "You did all this for me?" Of course she knew he loved her, would do anything for her, but this had been unexpected. The DMC felt her heart swell. "I love you, Fiyero."

Chaonis was happy to hold her against him, letting her lean on him and cuddling her affectionately. He looked over her shoulder at all the flowers and things he had gotten her, which all seemed like good ideas at the time, and he was glad she seemed happy about finding it all there.
He was not the most romantic person, by nature, but he wanted to try.
Letting her go, he followed closely behind her just in case she needed his support. He did not trust her on her feet, though she had to have gotten there somehow so clearly she could walk just fine. Maybe he had gotten more from his dad than he knew, like this over protective streak he was discovering.
He held on to her hand and grinned sheepishly once they reached the bear.
"No, I did this for my other girlfriend, you just found it first," he teased, watching her with a stupidly loving gaze. He smiled, nodding his head. "I love you too, my Elphaba."
