xxxxThe Bukijutsu Systemxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Here within Bleach: What Could Have Been; the umbrella of weapon wielding or the art of wielding of a weapon is known as "Bukijustu". The art of weapon-wielding, can be learned by all races, but some techniques are more race-oriented or race-exclusive. Adaptations can be made in the form of custom techniques so long as one can explain how another race that uses spiritual elements in different ways are capable of replicating the effects of the techniques.

Bukijutsu styles are split into categories based on the type of weapon they employ. Only a few have been created so far and most of them are greatly lacking in terms of techniques. More can be created or derived from them by crew and RPers alike, but for the sake of actually making use of these before the next ice age, WCHB is starting with only these. As with Taijutsu, combat moves will still need to be described and explained in the RP posts, but having these skills or stances may justify why your character has an edge when fighting against another that do not have the same array of techniques and skills. What styles a character may start with is limited by their unique weapon, race-dependent weapon (zanpakuto, fullbring, etc.) and their affiliation. If orange is the new black, people of African descent have become edible. These will also determine what sort of techniques they may learn until they unlock new styles.

Most of these techniques are physical movements accompanied by a single or multiple weapons. The key difference between normal weapon-wielding martial arts and Bukijutsu is the use of spiritual elements to enhance its strength and add additional melee effects to each strike. The more prominent the spiritual elements are, the higher a difficulty tier (novice, intermediate, expert and master) will be associated to it. The training needed to obtain these techniques will be based on the techniques' difficulty level, but what one may attempt to learn will be limited by the practitioner's Bukijutsu Mastery unless otherwise specified. Whereas Taijutsu focused on what spiritual elements can do, Bukijutsu, for the most part, focuses on where and how the spiritual elements are channeled and applied. Just like how a good writer isn't limited by their pen, Bukijutsu techniques can be applied to weapons or objects of all sorts (other than spirit weapons) so long as these weapons or objects fit the description and meet the requirements.

It should be noted that Bukijutsu is much less flexible than Taijutsu as specific movements or Reiryoku flow are needed to obtain the effects of each technique. Some techniques even require specific stance or posture to be taken before the practitioner can use it. Because of that, the Bukijutsu system rely heavily on technique counts whereas Taijutsu only describes in general what type of 'passive buffs' a Bukijutsu or Martial Arts move obtain. Also, for the sake of conciseness, any mention of "Reiatsu" or "Reiryoku" will also refer to their equivalents.

Note that most weapons can fall in more than one category.

-Bukijutsu dictates where Reiryoku and its equivalent are being flung in-combat.
-Techniques applicable even without a special spirit weapon.
-Each RPC will start with a Proficiency Level: Novice, Intermediate, Expert, Master
-Each RPC may start with a few techniques (up to the profile reviewer's discretion) in a single style based on their affiliation unless their character's rank or role implies that they may know more. They may also have access to more than one style if they can justify it. For instance, if their sealed/released spirit weapon can be used in more than 1 way. (In other words, in most cases.)
-Proficiency Level and affiliation decides what weapon style and techniques may be learned in the future.
-Stances offer passive perks should the character remain in said stance.

Bladed Weapons

Primary Weapons: Any weapon with a flattened section that has been sharpened to form an edge used for cutting

                        Novice

Klingeln Blitz|Ringing Flash| by Vexis Furi and Zigzag_Dragonslayer| Five training posts with a member of the Fredrick Clan
A modified form Heiling Pfeil designed to use with a blade. The Quincy collects the Reishi at the point of the blade. This energy is released with a thrust that fires a piercing attack. This move is a two post move. Energy is charged in the first post and released in the second.

                        Intermediate

                          • Brutale Schaukel|Brutal Swing | by Vexis Furi and Zigzag_Dragonslayer| Five training posts with a member of the Fredrick Clanand Klingeln Blitz (Ringing Flash) required
A modified form Heiling Pfeil designed to use with a blade. The Quincy wraps the Reishi around their blade. When the blade is swung the energy is released as an explosion. This technique can also be used to augment a sword swing. This move is a two post move. Energy is charged in the first post and released in the second.

                        Expert

                          • Kreuz der Gerechtigkeit | Cross of Justice)| by Vexis Furi and Zigzag_Dragonslayer| Five training posts with a member of the Fredrick Clan and Brutale Schaukel (Brutal Swing) required
This technique is an extension of Brutale Schaukel that can only be used by experts. Instead of a single slash the user quickly produces two perpendicular slashes to form a cross like figure. The Reishi around the area of the cross section of these slashes gathers before expanding outwards in an explosion of Reishi. This move is a two post move. Energy is charged in the first post and released in the second.

            Zanjutsu 10|15 training posts
--Weapon(s): Long blade with a hilt that can be wielded by a single individual. It must have a single sharp edge and be slightly curved.
--Practitioners(s): Upon creation, characters whose unsealed spirit weapons are katanas. Gotei 13 affiliated characters
          • Zanjutsu also known to most as "Kenjutsu", especially in the Human Realm, is the umbrella term for all schools of Japanese swordsmanship that relies on the use of katanas, a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. The modern styles of Kendo and Iaido that were established were based off the formulated techniques from Zanjutsu. The exact activities and conventions undertaken when practicing Zanjutsu vary from school to school or from person to person; Meaning no one has the same exact style of Zanjutsu. The methods, ethics, and formulated techniques varies from everyone that exist. This method of sword play is not restricted by species nor by rank.

                        Novice

                          • Tachi-Ai | 立合い | Initial Movement | Stance - 5|8 training posts
The practitioner will place their dominant foot forward and bring his or hand to their opposite hip where their katana is sheathed. The sword hand will be gripping the katana's hilt while the other hand will be gripping the sheathe, its thumb resting right under the katana's guard. This stance allows for a quick draw of the sword should it be needed and allows the practitioner to quickly gather Reiryoku into a weapon should it be capable of channeling spiritual energy. Depending on the situation or the practitioner's preference, this may be done while kneeling or upright.

                          • Hōzuri | 頬摺 | Cheek Stroke
A simple but precise slash technique. The move is capable of displacing air just enough for the displaced air to to deal light concussive damage nearby targets even if they are slightly out of the blade's range. A blade is required to perform this technique. It should be noted that it is matter and not Reiatsu or Reiryoku that is displaced.

                          • Shitonegaeshi | 褥返し | Cushion Return - Hōzuri required
A Narrow and or blunt object is needed for this ability to be used. Another way of performing this technique is a narrow and or blunt blade. This object aims to subdue an opponent. The practitioner will aim at a cluster of nerve with the tip of their weapon and perform a quick jab without touching said target. The move will displace air and deal a concussive blow to the targeted area as though the tip of the weapon had extended into a blunt weapon. This will stun and knockdown an untrained opponent should it hit home.

                        Intermediate

                          • Jōdan-no-kamae |上段の構え:じょうだんのかまえ| Upper-Level Posture| Stance - 5|10 training posts
The sword is raised above the head with the tip pointing back and the blade facing up, in readiness to strike. It is a very aggressive stance. Its advantage is the reach of the strike, the intimidating posture and the speed of the strike. Its disadvantage is the weak defense, since the throat, wrists and body are open.

                          • Gokō Jūji | ? | Yin-Yang Cross | By Yaroki
The user must hold two different blades and or weapons that can cause ascensions. The user then proceeds to move the two objects outwards in a scissor like movement. Doing so cuts the object that is targeted by slicing an object open much like a scissor. Even if the target does not yield, a simple rearrangement of the practitioner's grip on weapons will allow them changed the motion to a slash that would deal two outward wounds instead of completely horizontally slicing the target in to. Reiatsu may, however, be used to deal damage to organs and muscles closer to the epidermis.

                          • Hōzan Kenbu | 崩山剣舞 | Fallen-Mount Sword Dance
The practitioner swiftly swings his weapon around his or her entire body without cutting themselves. The speed of this technique makes it difficult for an adversary to get close to him in order to attack at close range without risk of serious injury. It is far from impenetrable, and a skilled enough opponent can circumnavigate the attack as it is full of openings.

                        Expert

                          • Kaiten Kenbu Rokuren | ? | The Dance Of The Wheeling Sword Six Successions | Zanjutsu | By Yaroki
The attack involves the user gripping his blade with the backhand style, then slashing the opponent six times in rapid succession, from both sides, letting Reiryoku residue accumulate in the path of the blade to make it harder to see and sense. This technique relies on confusing the opponent on the direction from which each subsequent strike is going to come.

                        Master

                          • Hitotsume: Nadegiri | 一つ目・撫で斬り | The First: Killing Stroke |
This basic technique allows for a precision cut of extreme force and speed, it can casually slice through large opponents. The opponent can be killed, if used properly, with one swift slash so precise, that they aren't even aware of until after it has taken place. The speed and force of the slash are so great that it will part matter in its path, dealing damage without needing the sword to come into contact with said matter. The blade will also leave behind a trail of Reiryoku that will disappear after a short while.

                          • Onibi | 鬼火 | Oni Fire | By Yaroki
The practitioner performs a powerful thrust with a weapon, creating a large, gaping, cylindrical hole in a target without even making contact with it. This also includes the sheathe of one's own sword. This is due to matter displaced by the powerful thrust, but the move also projects Reiatsu in the form of a rather large bullet.

                          • Hoipu|ホイップ|Whip
A downward strike with the the weapon, leaving a wall of spiritual elements behind the move and a quick ninety degree twist of the weapon once it has reached the end of its initial trajectory. This will slam the wall of spiritual elements sideways onto whatever had been next to the weapon's.

                    Kendo - Strength and Power
--Weapon(s): Blade with hilt that can be gripped with both hands.
--Practitioner(s): Zanjutsu practitioners that are Expert or Master Bukijutsu practitioners.
                  • Kendo is the most formal and the most widely known style of swordsmanship. Unlike Arrancar, whom have been proven not to have a specific style in swordsmanship unless stated system as been described, the Shinigami do in fact have a classified way of swordsmanship. This style is known as "Kendo". Most shinigami use this style and are usually trained in this style. However, there are few who decide to ignore this style and proceed to use an average "Zanjutsu" or "Personalized Styles". Kendo unlike the "Zanjutsu" aspect is not as wide of range of due process. All Kendo abilities and styles requires two hands on the hilt of the blade when used. The style of Kendo requires full strength of the body. only.

                        Expert

                          • Jishin |地震|Quake|Performed in Jōdan-no-kamae Stance
A two-handed, overhead slash. It has much less weight behind it then what one would expect, but releases a shockwave from the katana's sharp edge. This shockwave can be transmitted to what has been touched and force said object to vibrate uncontrollably. The vibration's purpose is to make an opponent's grip on their weaken and numb their fingers to better disarm them.

                        Master

                          • Ryōdan | 両断 | Bisection| Performed in Jōdan-no-kamae Stance
Grasping his or her sword with both hands, the practitioner brings it down with enough force to cut an opponent in half down the middle. The Reiatsu released by the sword isn't directed forward to increase the range of the slash, but sideways, parting obstacles before the sword even reaches them.

Iaijustu or Battōjutsu: - Speed and Precision
--Weapon(s): Blade with a grip that may be wielded by a single individual
--Practitioner(s): Zanjutsu practitioners that are Bukijutsu Masters.
                  • Iaijustu or formally known when created, Battōjutsu, is the art of drawing one's sword. However there is a catch within the style. This style allows wielder to draw his blade in a fashion in which he can defend and or inflict damage while drawing the blade itself. The craftiness and swift precision of this style is extremely hard to master. This style is simply how one draws the sword. It can be harmful if needed or protective as well.

                        Expert

                          • Tsubasa Hirogaru|翼広がる| Performed in Tachi-Ai Stance
Reiatsu is channeled through the sheathed blade so that its tip releases a burst of energy, sending the sheathed blade outward. At the same time, the practitioner pulls back on the weapon's sheathe at the same time as their sword arm pulls their sword forward and out of the sheathe. The result will be two blunt blows dealt to what is in front and behind the practitioner by the sword's pommel and sheathe respectively. This technique finally finishes with the resheathing of the weapon, using both impacts to slide the sword back in faster than normal so as to quickly follow up with another technique of the same style if need be.

                        Master

                          • Yonhon-me Tsuka-ate|四本目,柄当 | Performed in Tachi-Ai Stance
A three strike move, the practitioner quickly draws their sword, using its pommel to strike at a target placed in front of them and stun it. At the same time, their body rotates so that it is sideways, leaving enough room for them to stab what would have been behind him or her had the practitioner not moved. Finally, the practitioner pulls back their sword back, above their head for a finishing downward slash aimed at their first target. The last stroke, though usually done with one hand, requires the practitioner to put their full weight behind it, projecting a sharp wave of Reiatsu to further increase damage and range.

                          • Agitowari | 顎割 | Chin/Jaw Splitting
An advanced Iaido technique in which the wielder draws his sword swiftly from its sheathe and swiftly slashes his opponent across their torso, usually without warning, as it is a spontaneous technique in nature. The result is splitting the target from was to waist, causing the target to be completely bisected. Reiatsu is highly concentrated in the sharp edge (ha) of the katana, greatly increasing the damage that can be done with a single strike. Even larger targets, such as Menos Grande are susceptible to this move. This move is one of the most advanced moves known to all of those whom bare the prowess of the sword.

Ranged Combat

Primary Weapons: Weapons that may shoot or be wielded as projectiles by a single individual

              Archery 10|15 training posts
--Weapon(s): Projectile shooting bows and variants that may be wielded by a single individual and that require the drawing of a string to release said projectiles.
--Practitioners(s): Upon creation, characters whose spirit weapons are bows and variants in their released form or Wandenreich affiliated characters.
            • Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow or a crossbow. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat, while in modern times, its main use is that of a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically known as an "archer" or a "bowman", and one who is fond of or an expert at archery can be referred to as a toxophilite. This method of combat is introduced and excelled by those of the Quincy race.

                        Novice

                          • Even Stance | Stance - 5|8 training posts
This is when the two feet are placed at an equal distance from the line, at shoulder-width distance apart. This is a natural position for most people and the most comfortable, allowing the practitioner to perform a wide range of more complex shots from it. However, in this stance, the body is not particularly sturdy so it can be moved in high winds, which will obviously affect the performance of the archer. The back also does not have a great deal of support, and this stance lowers the area for string clearance. This is the stance that most archers will use when they first learn archery.

                          • Spiral Shot - Performed in Even Stance unless practitioner has achieved Intermediate Proficiency in Bukijutsu
The practitioner adds a spin to its arrow, giving it more piercing and drilling power, but losing accuracy. Spiritual elements are scattered in a conic shape, following the drilling motion of the bolt arrow.

                          • Rapid Fire - Performed in Even Stance unless practitioner has achieved Intermediate Proficiency in Bukijutsu
The practitioner decreases the delay between shots by loading the bowstring hand with multiple arrows at a time, reducing the amount of movements needed before another arrow is ready to be released and allow fast, consecutive shots. Each arrow leaves a thing trail of Reiatsu in its wake.

                        Intermediate

                          • Nadelwand | Needle Wall
The practitioner nocks multiple arrows at a time, allowing the release of multiple projectiles when the bowstring is finally released. The accuracy drop resulting from this move decreases as the practitioner's proficiency increases. The Reiatsu emitted by these arrows converge together, forming a net of uneven density.

                          • Springend Sterne | Leaping Star
A single projectile is released with its blunt end releasing Reiryoku much like a rocket. Halfway through its flight, the Reiryoku will release a burst of power, propelling the projectile forward to increase its speed and piercing power.

                        Expert

                          • Oblique Stance | Stance - 7|13 training posts
The oblique stance is created by having the dominant foot placed one foot in front of the non-dominant foot, which is then placed at a right angle to the line. This stance provides the largest amount of clearance space for the bowstring when it is released. The target is clearly and easily visible from this stance, and the body is in total equilibrium. However, this is the hardest stance to perfect and is utilized solely by expert archers.

                          • Leerschlag | Empty Strike - Performed in Oblique Stance
A projectile imbued with Reiryoku is fired. Upon contact with a solid target, it detonate, sending a small shockwave of Reiatsu forward into its target. The projectile will be fragmented once the shockwave has been released and has no piercing power.

                          • Schrapnell Schuss | Shrapnel Shot - Performed in Oblique Stance
The practitioner nocks multiple arrows at a time and releases them together, but instead of scattering immediately after their release, the arrows will fly together as though forming a much larger projectile. Each arrow's flight path is that of a spiral, making the larger, combined arrow look as though it was drilling through air. Then, after flying a short distance, the spiraling arrows will be released, breaking away from one another and curving outwards so that the arrows cover a larger area.

                        Master

                          • Jäger Fluch | Hunter's Curse
A single bolt or arrow imbued with Reiatsu is fired at the target. Should it hit it, the practitioner's Reiatsu will mar the area and create a Reiatsu beacon so that the arrow will be capable of homing onto the wound.

                          • Tanzen Sterne | Dancing Stars - Springend Sterne Required|Performed in Even Stance
A Springend Sterne shot is fired, but instead using the burst of Reiryoku to only accelerate, it can now deviate the projectile's flight so long as the angle is no larger than 90 degrees.

              Firearms: 10|15 training posts
--Weapon(s): Barreled-weapons that launches projectiles by using explosive forces.
--Practitioners(s): Upon creation, characters whose spirit weapons are firearms in their released form, Wandenreich affiliated characters or Fullbringers
            • Though firearms came rather late in the history of humanity comparatively to other types of weapons, none could deny its efficiency as a deadly weapon that required much less physical prowess to properly wield. Still, to properly wield firearms one must not only have great accuracy as a badly aimed shot is usually much less deadly than a badly aimed slash, but a steady hand capable of resisting recoil and good reload speed as well depending on what type of firearm is being employed. Firearms go hand in hand with technological advancement and its growth and development is never ending as new weapons are constantly being invented and produced at alarming speed.

                          • Pistol Grip | Stance - 3|6 training posts
It isn't really a stance, per say, but simply the action of holding the firearm by its grip. It is usually through this contact that spiritual elements are transferred to the spirit weapon unless it has been designed otherwise.

                          • Focus
Spiritual Elements are gathered in the firearm in large quantities, increasing the area affected by the next bullet and the interval of time between shots. These Spiritual Elements are released only once the projectile has made contact with a hard surface.

                        Intermediate

                          • Nebelwand | Smokescreen
A bullet of pure Spiritual Element is fired, in other words, no physical ammo is required. The shot that is fired will carry with it a loud, ear-shattering whistling sound and expand in a large, 2 meters radius cloud of Reiryoku as soon as it meets any obstacle with Spiritual Elements.

                        Expert

                          • Weißmann | White Reaper | Stance
Requires practitioner to hold weapon in both hands in either a kneeling or a prone position where they will focus spiritual elements in their weapon. This increases a firearm's range and firepower by 50%, but may only fire one bullet at a time, making following shots much slower than usual.
**If target is unaware of practitioner's presence, the next non-lethal shot will have the practitioner roll a 10D. The target will then need to roll a 8D. Should the target roll a number inferior to the practitioner, their character will be hit. Sub-ability only usable once per 20 posts while the stance can be taken as many time as desired.

                          • Schnellfeuer | Rapid Fire - Performed in Pistol Grip Stance
Reiatsu will split a bullet into a maximum of 3 smaller bullets. The shift in size will increase piercing power, but will also allow the practitioner to shoot out 3 bullets in quick succession with only one pull of the trigger.

                        Master

                          • Abprallen | Ricochet - Performed in Pistol Grip Stance
The practitioner fires a multitude of bullet, each slowly dissolving into a solidified trail of Reiatsu behind. Among these bullets, only one will not dissolve and will be a normal bullet. The purpose of the Reiatsu trails is to deflect the normal bullet, changing its trajectory to confuse onlookers. Even after the normal bullet is fired, more of the dissolving bullets can be shot out so as to further guide it. As soon as another normal bullet is fired, however, all Reiatsu trails will vanish.

                          • Lauffeuer | Wildfire
By making contact with the weapon, spiritual elements are gathered in the weapon to supercharge the weapon, taking a full two posts during which the practitioner will not be able to fire anything from the weapon. Once that is done, the practitioner may toss the weapon in the air, like a boomerang and let it rotate in midair. The weapon will then empty its remaining magazine in a rain of bullets. It is extremely destructive, but will also damage the weapon greatly, rendering it inoperable after a few normal shots.

Throwing Weapons: 15| 21 training posts
--Weapon(s): Small, light weight weapons that need to be tossed with bare hands.
--Practitioner(s): Available to all races and mastery level, but a character may only begin with it if their released spiritual weapon is a throwing weapon.
            • Anything with a decent mass can be used as a weapon in the right hands. If humanity learned how to swing weapons at a very early age, they have also learned how to chuck projectiles with their bare hands. Overtime, projectiles evolved to take on numerous shapes and forms that would even affect their flight pattern and trajectory.

The practitioner throws a second projectile as soon as the first one has been thrown, using its shadow to hide the second projectile. The latter can be aimed at the back of the first to increase the strength and speed of the first projectile or simply act as an invisible second attack.

Blunt Weapon

Primary Weapons: Objects with a blunt side or edge, nothing sharp that can cut or pierce.

              Stick-fighting: 10|20 training posts
--Weapon(s): Solid, elongated blunt weapon wielded in one hand. Its longest section, the one used to strike is straight.
              --Practitioner(s): All

            • Where clubs lack in precision, sticks makeup for it in exchange of weight and power. Sticks are cheap weapons that can be improvised out of almost anything. It requires little to no training to use, but should one take time to properly train in the art of stick-fighting, they will find themselves capable of turning almost anything into a deadly, precise weapon.

                        Novice

                          • Hoshi Wa Sentan |星は先端 | Star Tip
This technique allows its practitioner to sharpen the point of their weapon, turning a blunt weapon into a pointed weapon should the need arise. Spiritual elements are gathered at the tip of the weapon in a conic shape. It is most effective if the practitioner is a Hakuda or a Partikelschmiede user. Otherwise, a large quantity of Reiatsu and its equivalent is required, weakening the rest of the weapon and putting a strain on the less spiritually inclined users.

                        Intermediate

                        Expert

                          • Bakuhatsu|爆発|Explosion
The practitioner will strike with a lunge while placing their free hand, palm down in front of the weapon. It can usually be seen as a way to hide the full length of the weapon, confusing the inexperienced fighters. Here, however, the free hand serves to gather spiritual elements just in front of the weapon's tip at the last second, when the weapon is about to make contact. For the technique to succeed, the weapon will hit the gathered spiritual elements first, making it expand as though energy was released from a highly pressurized balloon that just popped.

              Club-wielding: 10|20 training posts
--Weapon(s): Blunt weapon with one side, usually the striking side, being heavier than the other. Wielded in one hand most of the time.
--Practitioners(s): Upon creation, characters whose spirit weapons are blunt weapons in their released form, Arrancars or Hollows

            • Clubs are perhaps one of the most primitive form of weapons. Even before swords or bows, humans and souls have learned to pick up branches and swing them around to increase their range and destructive power. It didn't take too long for them to notice that added weight meant added damage. Not exactly a weapon of precision, clubs and variants are considered extremely destructive for something that usually does not require much training or skill. Clubs would eventually take on more metallic forms and branch out into a variety of weapons that would be used mainly against armored foes. Its ability to deal damage without the need to be constantly sharpened makes it a trusty partner in prolonged warfare.

                        Novice

                        Intermediate

                        Expert

                          • Ryūsei no Sutoraiki|流星のストライキ|Meteor Strike
A two-hit technique, the attacker will first hit the target to scatter spiritual elements around the contact point in circular rings resembling shock waves or ripples in water. The practitioner will need to strike its target surface, solid for it to work properly, perpendicularly so that the blow recoils back in the exact same path as it has been launched. The recoil will allow the attacker to quickly send out the second attack, a fraction of a second after the first. The latter becomes a piercing technique, pushing Reiatsu and its equivalent deep into the targeted surface.

                    Staff-Wielding: 10|16 training posts
--Weapon(s): Long blunt weapon usually composed of a shaft that needs two hands to be wielded effectively.
--Practitioner(s): Expert Bukijutsu user that are also Stick-wielders
                  • Staffs are much longer than a normal 'stick'. It makes them more unwieldy, but allows for a much longer reach and greater power. If used properly, it can even become a tool to help one's maneuverability in wide, open space.

                        Expert

                        Master

                          • Hoshizura | 星空 | Starry Sky
The practitioner scatters a very dense amount of spiritual element in front of them by rapidly spinning their staff. The spiritual elements are so dense that they become visible to the naked eye, pressuring the sight and spiritual senses of all in close proximity. Its effects are akin to waving ammonia under an unsuspected victim's nose, shocking and making them extremely uncomfortable.

Soft Weapons

Primary Weapons: Flexible weapons made of soft material or multiple sections of harder material linked together.

              Chain Weapon: 15|25 training posts
--Weapon(s): Numerous parts or links all connected together into a linear weapon that still holds considerable weight, enough to cause physical harm if flung.
--Practitioners(s): Characters that have chain weapons as their sealed or released spirit weapons or Intermediate Bukijutsu practitioners.

            • Malleable and flexible yet still heavy enough to pack a punch or cater to something that does, chain weapons are devastating mid-range weapons that are known to be hard to wield. With or without another weapon attached to its tip, they are effective for crowd control if used properly. If. Practicing chain weapons is also quite a dangerous task and requires quite a lot of flexibility and understanding of the body, making it a rarely used weapon despite its flexible uses and unconventional trajectories that would make them interesting weapons against the inexperienced fighters.

                        Intermediate

                          • Jairo | ジャイロ | Gyroscope
By wrapping the weapon around an axis, let it be a material or theoretical one, and pulling the weapon free as though throwing a Chinese spinning top, spiritual elements are flung outwards and inwards in a small twister.

                          • Tatekabe|立壁|Vertical Wall
A burst of Reiatsu is sent along the length of the weapon accompanied by a flick of one's wrist. It will cause a single, sharp wave to ripple through the length of the weapon, straightening it. Spiritual elements will lash out on either side of the weapon in the same plane as the wave to form a small, but long wall.

              String Weapons: 15|25 training posts
--Weapon(s): Light strings or ropes that an do little in terms of blunt trauma
--Practitioners(s): Characters whose spiritual weapon, sealed or released, are rope weapons or intermediate Bukijutsu practitioners

            • Usually rather frail against cutting weapons, ropes or strings aren't very popular at all. They are most effective in close quarter combat when used alone as they do not have the weight or the rigidity to be waved around for extra reach. They do make for ideal concealed weapons that can easily subdue opponents with the right training and the element of surprise.

                        Intermediate

                        Expert

                        Master

                          • Satori o aita tochi|悟りを開いた土地|Enlightened Land
The practitioner scatters their weapon around themselves to form a net while charging it up spiritual elements. At will, they may release all the gathered spiritual elements all over the net to provide a smokescreen, forcing others to only be able to sense their own presence in the area without being able to pinpoint their exact location without other senses. Requires a large amount of energy, but the spiritual presence is so dense that it can cloak other spiritual beings' presence in addition to saturating the air.

              Whip-Wielding: 15|25 training posts
--Weapon(s): Malleable elongated weapon with a grip at one end and wielded with a single hand.
--Practitioners(s): Characters whose spiritual weapon, sealed or released, are rope weapons.

            • A bit easier to wield than chains due to their grip, whips are flashy weapon that are notorious for their speed and painful blows. Unfortunately, normal whips can rarely deal fatal blows as they do not have enough weight or cutting edge.

                        Novice

                          • Hakanai Muchi | はかないむち | Ephemeral Whip
Practitioner will fling spiritual elements from the weapon when whipping it about. Relatively short range, no more than a foot. Much spiritual elements are required and movements are usually so wide and large that the practitioner usually telegraphs theirs attacks. The spiritual elements are invisible to the naked eye and travels extremely fast, usually fast enough to be hard to sense before they vanish after reaching their maximum range.

                        Expert

                          • Fantomu Muchi|ファントム| Phantom Whip - Hakanai Muchi required
An advanced form of Hakanai Muchi, it differs from its predecessor in its prolonged range and the little amount of body movement needed to unleash crescents of spiritual elements. Instead of large, powerful movements, it relies more on quick and short movements that are amplified by the arc of the weapon. The little amount of movement and time needed to perform this technique allows it to be used in quick succession.

Pointed Weapons

Primary Weapons: Weapon with a sharp, pointed end usually used for stabbings or lunges

              Spear-Wielding: 10|20 training posts
              --Weapon(s):
              --Practitioners(s): All
            • Cheap to make, easy to wield and equipped with an extremely long range, spears have been a favored weapon in wars throughout history all across the world. Some derivatives are even used as ranged weapons and it has sometimes evolved to include a blade at their tip so that they may cut and stab with the same weapon.

                        Novice

                          • Enchō|伸長|Extension
Reiryoku is condensed at tip of the weapon and constantly being pushed out through said tip, increasing the reach of the weapon and spreading Reiryoku through it.

                        Intermediate

                          • Seishin no funsui|精神の噴水|Spirit Fountain
The practitioner slams their weapon into the ground in front of them, putting all their weight behind it. Spiritual elements will be directly injected into the ground or the surface that was struck and will be released in a flashy geyser of visible Reiryoku around the contact point.

                        Expert

                          • Shinkirō Yugamu|蜃気楼歪む |Mirage Swerve
A large amount of spiritual elements is gathered within the weapon and spun along it. This will allow the spear to change trajectory once it has been launched in an attack. The wielder will only need to loosen their grip and wrist for the brunt of the spear's attack to deviate from its original path.

                          • Kakure Hari |隠れ針| Hidden Needle - Enchō Required
Reiryoku is condensed into the weapon, slowly making its way towards the tip before accelerating greatly, almost exploding forward when about to make contact. It will take the shape of a short needle, extending at lightning speed to give the weapon additional reach. The movement is extremely fast, and invisible to the naked eye. It can be felt if one is experienced in reading and sensing Reiryoku flow, otherwise it is near undetectable.

                        Master

                          • Kimai|気舞|Aura Dance
Spiritual elements are spun around the shaft of the weapon and released in twister with a lunge. The twister will take a narrow conic form with its pointed end at the tip of the spear until the weapon comes to a stop, either because the user is at its maximum reach or the spear has been stopped by an opposing force. The twister will then invert itself, its wider side facing the front of the spear and travelling past its maximum reach.
