Winter was coming and she couldn't wait! She'd heard all sorts of stories, stories from Momma who's coat grew thicker with the growing chill to the air. Her coat? Was...well...not so fluffy, but maybe that was okay? She'd never gone through a winter before, after all! Still! So much excitement, she could barely stand still.
Autumn was in full force, red and gold leaves fluttering all around her, where she pranced in the middle of the forest, pink mane out of place among the earthy tones. Okay, who was she kidding--her entire self was out of place, but she didn't really notice. She didn't really CARE. All she knew was it was pretty out and the sun was shining and the air smelled of grass and leaves and dampness...
Her cloven hooves clipped across the soft earth, silent as a ghost as that's how she was taught. The wolfkin way. She might not've looked like Momma or Daddy, graced with only their markings but none of the "scaryness" others seemed to judge them for. She'd grown up from a tiny filly, protected by the big bad wolf and her father, spiked and gored and snarly... They were hers. She was theirs.
She was a bit bigger now, not small but not full grown. Not a kid, but not a grown up. Middle-sized. Her legs were longer than her body, disproportionate, and her ears and tail were floppy huge things. She wasn't aware of the strangeness of growing pains. Her outlook, as always, was sunny.
She just wished she wasn't so lonely all the time...

Waka’d been around. Around and around and back around. He’d been so far around that he was dizzy. That was a funny thought though. Waka, dizzy? He was awesome. He rarely was out of place. Rarely away from himself, Waka knew who he was and was very happy for that fact. His curly mane was hidden under a bright hood and cloak kinda thing that kept him nice and toasty in the coming winter. His tail flicked, brushing some broken leaves from his tail. He’d been running around through forests for so long that he wasn’t even sure where he was… which probably wasn’t good. Cocking his head, the stallion peered up toward the sky to try and figure out where he was. If he could just see where the sun was…
After a moment, he looked back down. Waka saw something bright in the distance. Having never known any of his family, he expected it to be someone that resembled him in some way. But… then again. Family? He almost laughed at the thought. With his markings and coloration there was no way. He shifted some, before moving around the trees and through the bushes. He was able to get his way around, before he spotted the… what was this? She was a pretty little thing. A teen in her years, maybe? She was adorable! And so bright in such a dark time.
Cocking his head to the side, the stallion trotted forward. He let out a small knicker, calling toward her gently. He didn’t want to startle her too much. And who knows if her family was about. He reared his head some, letting the hood fall back and rest over his back. His ears perked, and he dipped his head slightly to seem less intimidating.

Lithium heard...something. Her hearing wasn't as keen as her wolfkin mother's; Cyanide seemed to be able to pick up sounds from miles away, going on alert and growling. Lithium couldn't growl--not that she didn't try! She did. It just...sounded really pathetic. She was a lousy excuse for a pup, but... Then again, she wasn't really Momma and Daddy's blood child. She'd been a gift from the stars. They loved her, though. That was the most important thing.
Her large ears swiveled back and forth and despite the cerynei blood that flowed through her veins--and the fact that deer tended to be flighty creatures--Lithium wasn't afraid. She was curious. Glancing through the trees she began to move, spotting something bright and colorful right as she heard the soft sound of approach. Her grin stretched big as she danced towards the source of the sound.
Of course it could've been a rainbow kalona--but really? Rainbow kalona? Hah! And just as she suspected, the large, hooded male--because he smelled rich like a stallion--had bright eyes and no horns. "Hi there." She noted the leaf litter in his tail, head tipping to the side, doglike. "I don't think I've seen you before..." she mused. She people watched alot, but she would've remembered him.
He was super cute... She giggled. "I'm Lithium."
