[PRP] Let's Go Exploring (Lyric & Heath)

Lyric's head broke the surface of the water creating a great splash in the river and she took a deep breath of fresh air. Not that she couldn't breath under water, but the air quality was different, and she loved the change and the way it smelled to breathe in the air of the land and smell the trees. She loved the water, but she also loved the trees, the grass, the flowers, and most of all: Heath. He couldn't come to the depths of the ocean and go exploring with her. She sometimes wished that he could, but she didn't spare this thought too much time, for they had so much fun together exploring other things. Her favorite season was spring when they could lay amongst the flowers together, but now winter was coming. She could feel it in the chill in the air.

She looked around for Heath, for she was certain she would meet him here and together they would go explore something new together, or just walk to one of their favorite places. It didn't matter where they went, she enjoyed her day when she was with Heath. She especially wanted to tell him about the sunken ship she had seen earlier. She hadn't gone too far exploring, for she knew it wasn't a good idea to go alone in case something happened, but she had seen it from afar and she could only imagine the treasure that might be inside. She was sure Heath could think of some other interesting things to add to her fantasy about what lay inside the sunken ship.

With a leap she launched herself out of the water and landed on the bank. She then began her drying process: shaking and air drying. Luckily it was sunny today and she felt she would be dry in no time. She shook out her mane and looked around for Heath.

After shaking some of the water from her, Lyric noticed Heath dozing on the bank nearby. Lyric trotted over to him, the trotting sensation strange after swimming, and licked his cheek. She wondered if he had been sleeping or just relaxing. She laughed her soft happy laugh and layed down beside him. "Good morning," she whispered. "I've got a lot to tell you!"

She nuzzled him back happily and made herself comfortable in the grass beside him. She was thankful for the warm sun today.

"I found a sunken ship!" she exclaimed. "I didn't explore it fully of course, as I don't know what could be in there, but isn't it exciting?" She beamed and leaned into him a little bit. "What do you think's in there? Mermaids?" she asked. There were mersoquili after all, so why not merpeople? She'd never seen one, but it would be exciting.

She then got to wondering about the story behind the ship, and the people who had once been on it. "How do you think it sank? I wonder if there were any soquili on board..." she let her voice trail off as she wandered in thought. She couldn't wait to hear what Heath had to say about it.

Lyric was patient when it came to speaking with Heath, for she knew that he didn't speak much. She was probably the only one lucky enough to ever hear him speak. She thought this was okay, as she probably spoke enough for the both of them.

"Yeah, I hope so," she sighed. "It's much nicer to think that they did. Maybe I'll explore the rest someday and I'll tell you about it." She nuzzled him. "Maybe there will be hidden treasure for us to share." This made her smile and she suddenly had the urge to go exploring again, even though relaxing was nice. Then she had a thought.

"Meeting up with you like this is nice, but...well since we've decided to always be together, maybe we should," she paused, wondering if this was how best to say it. "Maybe we should find a place where we can live...together."

Lyric's face shone with happiness as she nuzzled him back and just beamed in the silence that followed his acceptance.

"I knew you would," she finally said. "Because we love each other." She giggled and then went on in a ramble that was common when she was with Heath. She was just so comfortable, she couldn't stop the flow of words sometimes. How different the two of them were! She loved it.

"It should be somewhere close to the water of course, and near the meadow too, I know how we both love it there, and somewhere close by where each of us are living now, so we won't have to move too far. Oh, it will be so nice living together and waking up and seeing your face every morning, and maybe starting a family together. Hmm...where should we start looking? Perhaps near here, our meeting spot?"

She smiled and began surveying the area, wondering what sort of place would make a good home for them both.

Lyric squirmed happily when Heath kissed her. She then turned her head towards the sky as well. It wold be dark soon.

"A place where we can stargaze!" she exclaimed. "It's perfect!"

She nuzzled him while thinking. "So maybe...a thicket near the meadow? There's a place where the river runs close to the meadow, we could look there."

Lyric giggled, and she couldn't help herself from also happily prancing along with Heath. She nuzzled his cheek and said, "Yes. Let's walk along the river's side until we get to the meadow."

And with that she began the trek, with Heath at her side. It wouldn't be a long walk since they weren't very far. She hoped with all her might that they'd find the perfect thicket nearby. And something about this day and the way that Heath smiled gave her hope that she would.

Lyric giggled and licked his cheek. It made her happy when he was happy. Well, now that she thought about it, the two of them were always happy!

When they got to the meadow Lyric looked towards the tree line not far away. She started that way, keeping her eyes peeled for something.

"Hopefully there's a spot somewhere not already claimed by someone. I'd think this would be a popular place to live. I don't see anyone around though. Do you see anything?" She looked towards her mate for an answer, for she knew it would probably either come in a nod or a shake of the head.
