Nondo was taking a brisk walk, she often prided herself on her strength and physical stature. The dark lioness was overjoyed at her new role, and how the king had accepted what she had said so graciously. If she ever doubted that she belonged here, she knew it now. Training the solider was proving to be a difficult task in some cases, yet easier in others. Alili, who had been her sparring mentor, was now oddly underneath her in ranks. It was a bit bizarre, but their friendship hadn't dissolved because of it. As a mother to 5 juveniles, she probably didn't want any more responsibilty than she could handle. Her friend was more laid back than she was, anyway.

Quite unlike her sister, Moina was relaxing by a pool of water, shaded by a tree. The announcement about new ranks had thus far gone over her head, content as she was with life. She had no prompting yet to consider changing her path, to become more than a huntress. She shifted, rising long enough to change where she was laying - From the dirt, to a log that crossed over the water, one white-socked hind leg dangling down. As she closed her eyes with a content sigh, she flicked an ear, hearing approaching pawsteps. Who could that be?
Zosie
Nondo could see a familiar face and smiled. She hadn't heard her families reactions to the new ranks, nor had she actually spoke to them about it. In fact she was rather excited to tell them! He sister was relaxing, and looked so peaceful, but unfortunately her peace wouldn't last for long! "Sister!" Nondo'vuta greeted her sibling warmly.

Moino cracked one eye open, before shifting, her grey front paw now dangling. "Hello, Nondo..." She yawned, a mouth-stretching action, before she pulled her legs back up onto the log and stretched. And then, in a most undignified manner, she fell off the log, splashing into the water below. As the grey lioness sat up, a frown on her face and ears drooping and wet, a frog let out a croak before jumping off, hitting the water with a solid 'plunk.'

Nondo pursed her lips in an attempt to prevent a laugh escaping them, but it didn't work! She let out a soft cackle and eyed her sister gingerly, offering her a paw to help her out the water. "That was erm, graceful." She laughed. "How are you? Come on over into the sun!" She nodded over to the more exposed part of land, hopefully her sister could dry out there.
Andranis
Picking herself up out of the water was easy enough. At the least, it wasn't very deep, and the embankment... Actually, that was the harder part to get up, her hind legs scraping a couple times before she got herself out of the water. With a great shake, Moina sent water flying before she found a sunny spot and collapsed on it, letting out a huff. "I'm not going to lay on that log again! Never!" She eyed her sister. "Other than my misery at landing in the pond, why do you look so chipper? Did you catch a vole?"
Zosie
Nondo felt a pang of guilt to see her sister irritated. Even though she wasn't ni too much pain, she still wanted to make sure she was okay. Though she was protective, she didn't always show it. "A vole?" She snorted. A vole wasn't much of a feat. A baby elephant maybe... What she had in sparring she took little of into hunting. She wasn't awful, but was better when something fought back and didn't run. "Your misery is not my joy." The lioness said simply before she continued "Well, you know how I like my sparring?" The female looked casually from her sister to Pride Rock.

Moina shifted, crossing her white paw over her grey paw. "I saw that laugh when I fell in..." The tone she used wasn't patronising - It was teasing, and the glimmer of amusement in her eye showed that she was looking back at that moment, even if it was such a short time ago, with a laugh at her own silliness. She gave a shake of her head to clear more water off, as the sun warmed her fur and dried her back. "I know of your sparring, yes... And the bruises and cuts you've surely gained from them!" Nothing in comparison, of course, to that one lion who kept falling over. Somehow, he'd attracted a mate... He must have had an award-winning personality to make up for his clumsiness!
Zosie
"Pfttt." She shrugged. Bruises and cuts were nothing! It was all a part of the job as far as she was concerned, and part of the fun. "It's just to keep the pride protected... Anyway, and now with the new ranks I have official status!" She chirped, but still managed to retain her serious tone. "I spoke to the king about my... concerns and efforts to train some of us so we wouldn't be caught... unprepared again." Her eyes darted from side to side gently. "Not that I'm suggesting it will happen, but we need to be prepared." The adolescent puffed up her chest "I'm a guardian now, Moina!"
Andranis
Dark grey ears perked as the stone-colored lioness sat up. "That's wonderful news! We'll never have to worry about those nasty hyenas again! Or attacking rogues! Or..." She stopped, frowning. "Has... Has another pride ever attacked the Pridelands before...?" She tried to think of a time mentioned, but none came to her right away. She'd have to ask some of the older lions at some point about it.
Zosie
"Not that I know of." The dark coloured female's eyes narrowed at the sound of the word "hyenas" "But, that's the plan... to be prepared. Hopefully we won't ever have to, but the security is there, and I get to make sure everyone is strong." She beamed at Moina. "It's a great responsibility for my age." She acknowledged with a deep voice. She was young but not cocky, and knew that she still had a lot to learn about life. "What about you, whats your plan?" Nondo didn't mean to pry, but wanted to know what was going on in her sisters life.

"You should! If you want it!" She nodded. A messenger was a great idea in her mind, it was definitely needed in such a big pride. "You could still hunt as well, you would just have another priority." Nondo nodded. There wouldn't be messages all the time anyway, just sometimes. "I need a healer by my side too! Maybe I can sweet talk someone into that." She chuckled. "And, you're a good huntress. I know that."
Andranis
She stuck her tongue out. Healing, blegh! Some of the things that implied bugged her. It wasn't that she had an issue with blood and the like, being a predator that'd be very strange. It was the idea of another lion's body being potentially battered that bugged her. "Why not ask Xagara? Then we can have a one-two-three team! You fight a threat, she heals you, and I run back to inform the pride of the threat!" It'd certainly get their dad moving his tail to go help! And then she'd spend the time between his departure and the group's return potentially comforting their mother.
Zosie
"What a brilliant idea!" She let out a deep rumble. "I'll try to mention it to her, but I suppose it depends on what she wants to do. I'll probably find quite a few to help, being the nature of the job. A strong team is everything!" She stretched her front legs gently. "What'cha say we go get some dinner? I could eat a wildebeest."
Andranis
She rose up and stretched first her front, then her back, before offering Nondo a grin. "I'm up for it! Let's go!" She gave her sister's shoulder a tag, before running off. Oh, that wildebeast would taste so good!
