I've only had a couple, but have any of you ever had a dream that had some religious aspect to it?

My sister told me a cute one she had just last night. Basically that in her dream, she woke up to the golden plates falling through the ceiling of her bedroom. She prayed to ask what she should do with them, and she was told to show them to our parents. But then they were too heavey for her to move, then she woke up.

Anyway, what ar some of yours? ^-^

this was before my baptism, like a week before.

i had one where, it was a series, i was in a building, open air building, and a guy was reading the BoM, everyone in the world was there, and so me and my bro and sis snuck off and went and looked at the other, empty, churchs, some had a depression in the ceiling where christ was gonna come thru, but so we looked at them then we came to a giant wall that was a barrier we couldnt get thru, it ended there and i woke up.

this was before i got the priesthood, i had had that same dream several times since i was baptized, but with nothing added on.

the same dream occured again and then the giant metal gates lifted into the air and we all, the entire world, walked under them and borded a freight train then i said "to the graveyards!" and we got there and it ended.

i believe i will have another of these soon, if i get my life straight, i have been researching geneology, im here in mississippi where my dad is from and we have seen a bunch of peoples gravesites, but we hit a dead end.

Both of your dreams sound as if theyre very symbolic!

and then the second dream posted, with you being one of the righteous during the second coming. ^-^

For me, i rarely have dreams that have symbolic meaning to them.
But for my own religious dreams, ive only had a couple.

The first dream, took place in the setting of my home, and was a representation of the second coming. and in it i remember feeling terrified, as did my friend. I remember her saying to me that she didnt want to look outside the window and asked me if i could close the curtains. upon doing so, when i looked outside i saw a humongous body of water split up into the air, (kind of like a parting of the seas thing with moses) and the air seemed dark, clouded, and firery; and before i closed the curtains, a large wave of black water splashed up against the window and everything was dark.
Later, my dream changed and within it, it was the next day. I opened the door to our house and just remember feeling terrified and alone as i realized that everyone else was gone, i had been left behind.

The second dream i had, i don't quite remember; just that it took place in an umfamiliar, dark cathedral. but it had that same kind of feeling to it, that i wasnt prepared when the second coming occured, and that i had procrastinated my repentance for too long.

*those are the two times i truley feared god. and though i love god with all my heart, i fear not being righteous enough to stand in his presence at the last day, and i think these dreams reflected that fear.

Which do you want to hear about? The one about the San Diego temple, the one about the great and spacious building, or the one about seeing Heavenly Father?

may seem crazy...but i had a dream once that i was preparing to marry my best friend in the temple lol.....

I had this dream several times when I was little and I always woke up mad (you'll see why in a minute).
I would be playing in my parents bedroom and then I would hear them talking to someone down the hall. I would recongize the voice and run down the hall towards them. It was Heavenly Father talking with my parents. He would turn towards me smiling but before I could get to him I would wake up.

well, sorry! it's just that in this day and age, you have to be careful about that sort of stuff.... ninja
