Viktor was lost. It hadn't taken him very long to get lost and he wasn't beat up about it. Getting lost was the whole point. Lost was fun. Lost was new experiences. Lost wasn't stuck in the one place for the rest of his life, doing the same thing until he died.

Viktor had been born into a small family, the first born child of two farmers. While he was still young and thought the world only consisted of the land his family used to till and what space was around it that he was allowed to explore in, he had been fine with his lot in life. When he was old enough, he would be expected to help expand and keep the family 'business' going strong. Find a wandering mare to settle down and continue the family line. He enjoyed the working. What youngster wouldn't enjoy digging up the earth. Feeling the wet mud splash on his fetlocks when it was raining and it needed tending. Than there was listening to the stories the merchants told as they passed by to trade items to trade with other Stars and herds.

But one day a strange Star came to town. He said he was on his way to a herd to join. He didn't say where it was, but that wasn't what caught Viktor's attention about the stallion. He looked and sounded different from the often cruder merchants who stopped by and told different tales that made the young stallion long to see it for himself. Not just stories collected from other places. Real places. And the more glamorous jobs Stars have found for themselves. Not planting, the only thing he knew about. Interesting jobs, like rescue and healing. Serving in an army to protect one's herd and family. Even the job of wandering around as a merchant was sounded better than what he had going for him. Waking at the same hour, going to sleep at the same hour, pulling out weeds, and digging the earth. How could one Star be happy staying in one place? He realized quickly he couldn't. Once he was old enough, he bid his family goodbye and left without giving them a chance to argue. He had enough brothers and sisters to keep on the family tradition, even if a few had decided to follow his example.

So far, he had not seen anything amazing that made him want to stay. He must have passed just barely shy of the other herds he had heard about. No matter. Just wandering around was joy enough for Viktor. The world was the same, and yet it wasn't.

User ImageTobin ad just finished playing with his last mare a few days ago, he drew her into the water. Once he'd finished he left the body floating in the water, his toy was no longer fun. It was time to move on and find another. Another lovely mare with golden locks. Though there were times when he honestly couldn't be too picky but... Oh how he loved watching them to see the light in her eyes fill with fear once they realized they'd been caught. Then again it was just fun to play that way he'd had countless mares and left them the same way, it was a wonder his name never got around.

Swimming close to the shore he saw what he thought to be a lovely mare. She had long blonde locks and was white as snow. Tobin continued to watch quietly from under the water. He slipped down and picked up some rocks to throw in order to get the star closer to the water. Startling one was always an option. From under the water he popped up out of view tossing the odd rock behind the other star to see what she'd do.

Viktor wasn't paying much attention to the water to one side of him. He was watching the trees on the other, his ear flicking forward and back. It wasn't that he was afraid of anything coming out at him as a prey animal. He was nervous. Being lost just amplified this feeling, as well as being out on his own for the first time in his life. He'd never been very far from home before. He didn't know what kind of creatures were out here. He supposed they weren't much different than he was used to. Coyotes. Cougars. Bears. Wolves. The same kind of predatory animals that made their homes in these kinds of forests.

So when a sound suddenly came from behind him, Viktor stopped in his tracks and raised his head, ears flicked behind him in an instance. Much like a deer who caught the scent of the wolf pack approaching from behind. Unlike a deer, he didn't move. He wasn't by any means a small stallion and that sounded like someone throwing something as opposed to what a predator might make. Not that they'd make any sounds to begin with. So he wasn't buying into whatever it was.

Every time he moved his head, he missed where the rock was coming from. His first instinct would have been from the trees. The last place he'd expect any sort of danger or interaction would be from the water. Much to his surprise when he finally seen the direction of the one stone he did see flying through the air. The water?

Now staring at the slightly rippling surface, he narrowed his eyes into a glare at whoever it was messing with him. He didn't appreciate pranks.

Well, I certainly don't know either. Viktor doesn't look that feminine to me.
