Technology -- Need to know specs? Izzy's got them memorized. She's got a hard-won variety of knowledge as far as computers go; she's built her own computer, is a fairly accomplished amateur mechanic, and won a state-wide robotics competition before she moved to Destiny City with her dad. She subscribes to several technology dailies and is pseudo-IT at home, fixing things for Politician Dad and Teacher Dad. Given the materials, she can bug your phone. She can also tell when your phone is being bugged. She loves technology and machinery. It is the best. (Part of her life end goal is becoming a digital forensic specialist.)

Concerts -- Music is the background rhythm of Islay's life. Even when she had nothing else, she did have music. She is a devoted attendee of the Destiny City symphony with one or the other of her fathers, and if she's at home, there is going to be some classical concerto playing at a reasonable volume. When biking, she favors the musical styling a of groups like the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, and when working out one can expect to hear the soundtrack from Marvel superhero movies from her iPhone. She isn't obsessive about the groups performing, insofar as she has no particular love of most pop culture musicians, but she is definitely willing to scrimp and save her allowance to get herself tickets to specific group concerts.

Social media -- Izzy is very, very active on social media. She updates her facebook daily, and her twitter about every hour. If not more. She doesn't have many followers or friends, but that's mostly because she keeps these things just to keep up with her family and friends. How else is she supposed to know what her friends are up to at any given time?

Virtues:
Social -- Islay likes people. She believes they're inherently good, and is willing to give people the benefit of the doubt if they seem decent towards her. She generally trusts people shortly after meeting them, and doesn't mind being tasked with their care. She is friendly, too, and good at getting people to open up with her, which was useful when she lived in foster care and often had to adapt to new situations quickly. Despite her somewhat dramatic early years, she's not all that hardened by life.

Open minded -- Open to new experiences, there's very little that Islay won't give a try as long as it's not blatantly illegal or, like, cruel. She has eaten a chocolate-covered grasshopper, which is something not everyone will own up to. She likes to one-up people with the weird s**t she's done, and likes to hear stories about the weird s**t other people have done. She always likes to hear all sides of a story before passing judgement, although there are a few cases where she feels things are so clear that she doesn't need to know any more than she already does.

Flaws:
Boring -- She doesn't enjoy dramatics, and can quickly get impatient with someone pitching a fit just to pitch a fit. She likes process, and homework, and the comfort of procedure. She goes to bed early, and always leaves the party first. She gets up at six every day, listens to classical music while getting dressed, and goes for a run. Then she eats a balanced breakfast, and a balanced lunch, and a balanced dinner. Islay is very attached to her routine, and while she's willing to try new experiences, that's provided they fit inside the structure of her existing life. She has been accused of being fifteen going on fifty, and privately she thinks they aren't wrong.

Skeptic -- Being willing to hear you out doesn't mean she's going to believe you. If you can't prove something with hard physical evidence, she's not gonna go for it. There are a few things that she doesn't really question, like, you know, physics, but everything else of the world is up for debate. And debate it she will--she's got a politician and a teacher for dads, so she's familiar with the myriad ways that information can be faked. Your evidence needs to be iron-clad and statistical, not just anecdotal, to sway Islay. Which means she's kind of terrible when confronted with things that no official studies have been done for. Debates in her family tend to end when someone pulls out scholarly articles from JSTOR or an encyclopedia, so if you haven't got something at least that good, Islay is not going to take you seriously. For instance, she isn't sure she really believes in the monsters that have apparently been plaguing DC. Like, she hasn't seen any? So... really?


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Deep dark red.

Hair: Dark, dishwatery blonde. No bangs, pin-straight, down to the small of her back. Izzy is very proud of her hair.

General: Izzy is average height, and did she not have an impressively defined chest, would be average in proportion too. Because she likes running with her dad, she's rather toned in the legs.

Clothes: Crystal uniform.

Hey Romeo~ On the whole, Izzy looks good! Just one thing regarding her skeptic flaw -- skepticism can be healthy, so I feel like I'm missing the flaw aspect? Is she rude in her rebuttals, or does she tend to have a very strict idea of what "evidence" is? Basically, is there a reason people would dislike her for being skeptical? Also, will this change once she's powered?

Just some clarification and she'll be good to go!

It's absolutely functioning that the force is directly equivalent to what's left in her magic pool!! :O TBH the way I see it working is she expends five seconds of it to rush into a mob and then expends the rest of it in one great big BOOOSH. So like, one second of magic is like a sharp push, and all thirty would be like getting hit by a truck. (With less blunt force trauma/broken bones.) (I'm not saying you wouldn't lose your breath, but I am also not saying your bones would break. At least. Assuming she didn't shoot you off a building.)
