It wasn't like Eris wasn't tired. You just wouldn't be able to tell by the amount of time she spent on patrol and the amount of energy she had. It seemed almost physically impossible to wear her down. The Japanese woman was on patrol all the time. She had no job, no boyfriend, nothing to really look forward to other than patrolling. Right now her joy was making sure everyone in the city was safe. She knew she wasn't alone. There were so many other Senshi out there. Some in the Black Watch, some weren't. But they were there.
She was on top of a high rise in the middle of down town because it seemed there was a good bit of Chaos energy out this way tonight. Below her car horns honked, people screamed at one another, but there didn't seem to be anything major happening right now, which was good. It meant the Negaverse wasn't as active as they made it feel. Still, the amount of energy made her uneasy.
Somewhere in there she did feel the other Order energies, but most of them weren't in the middle of down town. They roamed parks, and near their homes. Shaking her head and pushing her hair off her shoulder, Eris pulled out her phone to check messages, the Moon Pearl shining under the moonlight, twinkling like the shining tears of the dead Queen.

Downtown was not her favorite place. But it was the place she'd chosen to patrol, at least for a little while. Until she could make herself feel like she wasn't completely useless.
Sighing, Cruithne paused in her furtive shadow dodging and leaned against a wall where she'd be out of sight. Shivering slightly in the chilled air, she wondered fi maybe she shouldn't just call it a night and go home. Home was safe.
Only... home wouldn't be safe if she didn't try to do something to help change the future that hovered in her memories. There was so much in there that she still didn't understand. But she did understand that she couldn't let those terrible visions come true. Maybe her being a little braver would be enough of a butterfly effect.
An energy signal was getting closer. It wasn't Chaos aligned, so Eris didn't tense up. Sighing slowly, she looked around until she spotted a chibi out in the night seeming to be playing. This wasn't just a chibi, however, from her uniform and and energy level, this was actually another senshi. She didn't know they were so young. Jumping down to her level, Eris called out to her quietly.
"Hello, little one." She wasn't trying to be condescending, it's just how she thought she should talk to children. Eris honestly had no experience around them. Her hands went behind her back as she stood next to her. "Out by yourself?"

Jumping in suprise and squeaking, Cruithne just stared for a moment at the senshi who'd appeared beside her. A quick aura check reassured her and she allowed herself to relax slightly. This woman was on her side. Thank goodness.
"I... I-i... h-hello?" she stammered, not entirely sure of how to answer. A quick glance told her that she wasn't that much smaller than this woman. So the 'little one' moniker was a touch inappropriate, she felt. "I s-suppose I am."
Now wary, she side-eyed the woman, wondering who she was and what she was doing. Usually, when people asked if you were by yourself it meant bad things were about to happen.
Eris gave the girl a soft expression and just tried to show her that she wasn't trying to insult or mean any harm. "I didn't know many others patrolled down town. I was surprised to pick up another signature." That was the honest truth. "I'm Eris." She moved around in front of the girl, noticing that she was taller than Eris had originally thought. "I'm sorry about the little one comment. I.. thought you were smaller."
Was it because of the girl's shy nature? It was odd Eris misjudged people's ages, but this one seemed so small and meek. Still, looks could be deceiving.

Heart still hammering in her chest, Cruithne nevertheless took this Eris at her word. And she's apologized. Okay, maybe she wasn't so bad. Maybe.
"C-cruithne," she half-gasped, introducing herself. A closer look at Eris let her see the gentle expression and she relaxed further. Venturing a tiny smile, she bobbed a curtsy. "M-my name is C-cruithne."
She wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to do now. If downtown was where Eris usually patrolled, then there was a good chance that Cruithne herself might be in the way. And worse, a useless liability. Was she supposed to go home now? Or find a new place?
Eris could see the smaller girl struggling with herself and she just reached out to take one of her hands. Affection and trying to calm someone down wasn't what she normally did, but ...if she wanted to have any effect in this war she was going to have to adapt to trying to make friends and work in a team.
"I was sensing youma nearby. ...Do you want to help me dust them?" Truth be told, Eris could probably take them out herself, but maybe dusting one together might help Cruithne calm down and open up to her. You couldn't stay shy with someone after a fight. At least not painfully shy. "You don't have to say yes. I thought I'd offer..." Had the girl even dusted a youma before?

Blinking owlishly as her hand was taken, she looked at the older girl and managed to not freak out and bolt for the hills. Eris was trying to help her. An older, more experience senshi was trying to help her.
Holy s**t.
"I...," she choked a little on the words before finally managing to force them out. "Y-yes. P-please. I-i don't k-know what to d-do."
Her teeth were nearly chattering from anxiety, but she forced herself to stand as tall as she could. She had to learn one way or another. And frankly, strange memories were not exactly the best teaching aid for something like this.
From the moment she took the chibi's hand she could feel the anxiety building up in her and Eris just let her brows knit and tried to calm her down without causing even more anxiety to her. The poor girl felt like she would soon be shaking like a leaf in a hurricane if this progressed too fast.
"Do you.. know how to use your magic?" She wasn't trying to make her feel bad, but Eris really needed to know this. It was important.

Rather than waste any time trying to stutter out an answer, Cruithne simply nodded. Oh, she could use her magic, that wasn't the problem. The fact that it was pretty darn useless in a fight, however, was.
Taking a deep breath and speaking as slowly as possible to try and minimize any stammering, the girl did her best to explain.
"It j-just helps people r-relax," she explained. "To f-feel less pain for a few s-seconds."
Oh, sure, she knew that her magic would be far more useful in the future. She had the memories to prove that. But for now, it was pretty bloody damn useless. Still, she wanted to help. She wanted to learn to fight the monsters.
Eris studied the girl and just let her brows knit. Slowly she crouched down, getting eye level with her and rested her own arms on her legs, taking hold of Cruithne's hands. "...I want you to take deep breaths right now. If you can, cast your magic on yourself and help yourself calm down and relax. I'm going to draw a youma out. It doesn't fell like it's going to give us much trouble. Then, I want you to run at it, and punch it. If you find something to hit it with, like a pipe or something hard? That's good too. You can hit it with that."
She was speaking to Cruithne like she was an adult but also trying to keep her calm. There was no point in speaking to her like a moron. The girl was a senshi and she'd have to learn all this some day. At least with Eris here, she could keep an eye on her and make sure she was safe.
"I won't let anything happen. It'll be okay."

Oh, if only her magic worked that way! Still, she simply nodded and forced herself to close her eyes and take a deep breath. She could do this. Hadn't she done much more difficult things in her memories? Compared to some of that, fighting a youma would be easy.
She hoped.
"I-i'll save my magic in c-case you get hurt," she said softly. Givign Eris' hand a squeeze, she carefully pulled away and wandered a few steps, looking for something she could use as a weapon. A few minutes later, she was the happy owner of a chunk of pavement and a discarded hubcap.
Eris just gave a little noise and nodded after a minute of watching her. Taking a deep breath, Eris moved towards the youma energy.
It took a little rooting around, but when the youma was found, she almost regretted it. The youma tackled her from behind and she went face first into the pavement. Grunting in surprise, the Senshi of Discord rolled herself over just in time for the youma to run at her again. She kicked it with both feet, sending it flying back towards Cruithne and then got up and ran after it.
"Quick! Hit it with your hubcap!"
That was a weird sentence to say, but it worked. "It's low level, but it's really quick!"

Following Eris, Cruithne kept tight hold of her improvised weapons. And when she felt the youma's aura brush against her, she shuddered. How could normal people not feel something like that? Feeling faintly sick, she was nearly bowled over as the monster tackled Eris.
Freezing in shock, she watched as the older senshi fought and then kicked it back. Without thinking, she obeyed the command and swung out with the hubcap, catching the youma along the jaw. Then, for good measure she brought the hand holding the chunk of pavement up and around hard enough to knock out one of the youma's teeth.
Shaking with reaction, she moved backwards, step by careful step as the youma growled and began to advance on her.
"Keep fighting it! Swing at it, hit it with your weapons!"
Eris might be screaming, but only because she was running to catch up to the smaller Senshi. Once there, she crouched behind Cruithne and murmured into her ear. "I'm going to cast my spell. You just make sure it doesn't jump on you. I'll get the youma to focus on me."
With that, Eris ran back.
"Harmonic Discord Strike." It was said without any emotion in her voice, eyes on her target of the youma. "Here! Come at me! Cruithne, attack it from behind. We should be able to dust this youma quickly!"
With that, the youma snapped it's head up and looked at Eris before letting out a screeching scream of rage and ran towards her.

Sailor Eris can strike an opponent from afar to cause discord in their mind. Most often this'll enrage the enemy and cause them to be unable to differentiate between ally and opponent, subsequently going berserk on the nearest person/youma/park bench/anything. Strength and duration varies along the victim's willpower; the stronger the mind, the shorter the duration and the weaker the effect is - and the weaker the mind, the longer the duration and stronger effect. 30 seconds maximum duration. This can be used on up to two targets now.
