The officer was in the middle of finishing off her dinner. Her real one anyway, when she felt the urge to go hunting to sate her other hunger. Her starseed binging was getting a tad excessive, but she paid it no mind. She filled her quota, and she was careful. She kept her kills covered, buried the bodies just like she'd been taught. Hid them as she'd been taught. Now, licking the last BBQ sauce off her fingers from the boneless wings she'd devoured, she eyed the streets looking for dessert.
Her belly might have been full, but her energy hungers had gone unfulfilled. It was time to correct that.
Jumping down into an alley by the downtown boutiques, she smiled sweetly to herself, imagining how juicy and sweet a starseed would be to top off her night.
"Red rover, red rover, send me someone sweet right on over~"

Cruithne was trying. She really was. She'd abandoned her usual patrol of the Park for one of the nicer parts of downtown. Mind still buzzing with mingled elation and horror (she'd visited her homeworld, yay! But she'd also been slammed with terrible memories, boo!), she'd decided that she would do her part to try and make the future a little less awful.
Or at least, that was the logic she was trying to convince herself with. Maybe with enough repetitions, she'd be able to actually convince herself. Sighing, she ducked and dodged through the alleys, careful to pause and test for auras as she went.
Only to freeze as she felt a particularly dark aura graze her senses. Oh, why hadn't she stayed in the park where it was safe?

Alas for senshi, there would be no sweetness, no kindness offered by the tiny brown and bronze officer who swung her pendulum to and fro, seeking heads to smash in and souls to steal and swallow. "Red rover, red rover-" She began, singing sweetly as she picked up the senshi not too far off. "Send the senshi on over." Smiling she skipped down the alley, heels clattering on pavement and occasionally clicking on the metal grates that lead to the sewers below. "Hello sweetness." Pyrite began, weapon drawn and hanging at her side. "Did you come out for a late night snack like me?"

Staring like a deer caught in headlights, Cruithne couldn't answer the officer, her mind too busy with screaming silently in terror. Blue eyes watched the pendulum warily as she tried to keep from shivering.
Still, the woman's words startled her back into sense for a moment.
"Y-you eat p-people?" she stuttered in whispery horror. Good job, self, the part of her bran that wasn't scared stupid muttered. You try to be brave and end up cornered by a cannibal. Of course you do.
Not for the first (or last) time, she wished that her magic was a little better suited to fighting.

Man this kid- Pyrite snorted back a laugh as the girl seemed none too bright given the situation. Kid senshi. Just pathetic- they were so low on forces they got kids. Pathetic. "People- baby I don't eat people.. I eat starseeds. those oh so pretty glowing crystals we have inside of us. Inside of you." She walked towards the girl- "I can show you if you like- pull it out, let you see your own soul?" She held out her hand. "I promise I won't bite." Just kill you.

For one brief, horrorstruck moment, Cruithne froze. Eating a starseed was easily one of the worst sins she could imagine. A nudge from those strange memories she had supported that feeling. They also told her that this officer might not bite her, but she would do her best to make Cruithne very, very dead. And if she ate starseeds...
Still frightened, the chibi senshi began to back up, eyes rapidly scanning the alley.
"N-no thanks. I l-like my s-soul where i-it i-is," she stuttered quietly. Oh Lady, she thought, why didn't I stay home tonight!

Pyrite's eye twitched. Kids. Such annoyances. Senshi kids were just baby rats- stupid, disgusting, and eventual menaces. Keeping up her smile, Pyrite drew her weapon up as she stalked closer. "A shame really- because I think it would look better in my collection!" She swung, aiming right between the eyes.

Instinct took over for one shining moment as Cruithne watched the pendulum swing towards her. Dropping quickly to the ground, she scurried forward, darting for the officer's legs. Knock her off balance, the girl's mind babbled at her. Knock her off balance and find something to fight with because she won't leave you alone otherwise.
Blue eyes hardened for a moment as her scrabbling hand found a small rock. It wasn't much, but it might be enough. It would have to be enough.

Kids- this was why she hated them. Specks and nuisances. Her swing missed, body brought down by being thrown off course, eyes and face contorted in fury. She'd make this kid regret ever being born. Could have been painless. Now? Not so much. "A rock- weak little worm. You think you can stop me with a rock." She held her arms out. "Try me."
