Was cursed at birth with the dragon soul Tolk. It was on his 13th birthday, when his curse first unleashed Tolk from his binds, Chogan has no memory of this; later Tolk explained what happened. The dragon crashed through the floor and killed Chogan's mother. He had been raised by his godfather ever since; learning little by little about Tolk. It took him many years to forgive Tolk, even more to befriend him.
Tolk usually sleeps during the day; but if Chogan is in danger; Tolk will scratch and claw to show his form. Usually there is an inner debate and Chogan tries to deal with the situation on his own.
