Laid out more like a banquet hall than an actual office, Yagari keeps the place in low lighting at all times due to his constant hangovers and because brightly lit places are too "happy". The center area shown here is used for formal meetings with the squad or any other official business. The door seen on the back leads to another office which has a mechanical door and is soundproof for more "formal or discreet" matters. The office of course comes with it's own bar and is stocked with books and historical documents of Soul Society. Yagari doesn't like to be disturbed with petty arguments or disputes so if you're in here, it best be something important!

The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword

Another day in the Seiretei... For Yagari it was just another day full off the annoyances of being a Captain, however, in this position he could make sure to take care of his sister and so he bore it. Yagari sat in his office overlooking the training grounds and taking in the sight of it all, he lit a cigarette and as he did, he also pulled a bottle of human liquor and poured himself a drink. "The Gotei 13 has changed... Now it's just a matter of seeing if the change was good or bad"He muttered to himself as he continued to enjoy his drink and his smoke, the day seemed fine, perhaps someone would bring something interesting to him or perhaps he might just go looking for a fight.... who knows? the day is young and he's already drinking, needless to say; The office was not the place to be right now, so seeking entertainment he decided to go elsewhere.

XXX For the first time that day, Tatsumaki's pace was her usual speed since she wasn't rushing to see her Captain or struggling to keep up with Nyhil. It wasn't just that she was leading, she was also rather reluctant to arrive at their first destination. It was one hundred percent enemy territory for her; Squad Eleven had never been polite to her or her underlings. Nevertheless, it seemed best to start getting word out about sparring with the most violent and battle thirsty squad. Turning her head a little to glance up at her companion, the small girl would attempt to strike up conversation. Although there were a lot of more personal questions she was curious about, it seemed ill fitting to ask considering she had only really gotten acquainted with him today. "U-Um.." She'd start softly as she usually did, still considering what topic to pursue. Finally she decided that before anything else, it would be best to explain her thought process behind where they were heading. "I thought S-Squad Eleven w-would be a good start."

The closer they got the more nervous the girl would become, casting furtive glances from side to side occasionally, body tensed like she was waiting for something. The reputation that the Squad tended to pick fights was certainly not a false accusation. Tatsumaki was actually quite thankful that Nyhil was with her. Even if his presence was slightly unnerving too, he himself wasn't a bad person and she would take his company over venturing alone into Squad Eleven any day. "Captain Korogame s-spent a lot of alone i-in her lab. I-Is that normal for Squad Twelve members?" Finally the pair would come across Yagari's office, and the girl knocked on the door tentatively.

[OOC: Squad Eleven isn't the friendliest bunch.]

Nyhil didn't normally take a casual pace, but doing so was comfortable enough at a time such as now when his business wasn't overtly pressing. Had he been working on an invention this would be tortuously slow but with the light breeze he had to admit he didn't mind the crawl. It was just as well, since Tatsumaki might fall over with her lungs seizing if she had to keep up with him again after her already active day. He wasn't yet aware as to how poor her constitution was so better to presume the worst and avoid complications.

“It is the most logical, I had assumed they would sign on without hesitation. Though, you do not appear to be very comfortable, if you are unwell we can take a break and find a place to sit.” Nyhil offered, mistaking her paranoia for health. When she struck up a different topic of conversation he considered for a time before replying. It took him several seconds, enough that some people might think he didn't plan to respond at all – which was almost exactly when he did. Shortly after Tatsumaki knocked on the door.

“Any scientist will spend long periods of time in reflection or development when perfecting or designing new inventions. However, I cannot adequately judge my Captain given I have not been living in the Sereitei for long. I have yet to get to know her habits well enough to give a better response.” Nyhil answered honestly. Glancing to the door and back to Tatsumaki, hopefully she wouldn't feint right outside the door – that would be an awkward explanation to make to the leader of the battle squadron.

The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword

As another day loomed in the Seiretei Yagari did as customaary of him. He sat behind his desk with a tall pitcher of some kind of alcohol sipping casually on it as he looked at his squad roster and some of the mission reports that had come in. A knock on the door prompted him to leave the comfort of his desk and he wasn't too pleased, no one ever came just casually knocking on his door so he knew that this would probably require some kind of work and attention. Yagari just hoped that it wouldn't involve paperwork, he stood up and meandered his way over to his door with his liquor in hand and as he opened the door he noticed it was 2 Lieutenants; It seemed like Squad 4 and 12 needed something and Yagari couldn't help but look at them with a mischievous grin on his face. "Yare, Yare... Out of all the people that could have come to knock on my door I didn't think you would be the ones to do so... Well, in any case, come in."The tone of Yagari's voice was steely and with a certain edge to it that seemed to cut through people on it's own; This was just him in all of his splendor, it seemed like monsters like him did this naturally, the mere pressure in his voice gave off a large vibe off 'I will hurt you if you say the wrong thing' yet his demeanor seemed to contradict that, it made people want to get a read on his spiritual pressure and there they would find even further confusion, they would find the reading of an average Lieutenant, yet another reason why so many people were weary of him.

Yagari stared at them for another second or 2 and then moved out of the door and began walking back towards his desk, he arrived on it and sat back down while taking a healthy swig from his liquor. He pointed to the bar right next to them which was stocked with everything from beer to liquor to wine, Yagari had a very large selection of vintage liquor and wine and just about any beer you could imagine since he was a very 'indecisive' person when it came to drinking.
"You may help yourself to anything in my bar and have a seat so that you may tell me why the 2 of you are here today, be blunt and honest or I might get angry."Yagari's voice was calm, something unusual coming from a Kenpachi, it wasn't until the last part of his sentence came out that the killing intent and blood-lust honed by centuries of fighting could be felt and in that same instant as quickly as it was felt it dissipated. The Kenpachi just sat there, he was interested in finding out why these 2 would come to his office, so he would at least hear them out is what he decided as he took another swig of alcohol and waited for them to speak

XXX Nyhil was certainly right about her lack of comfort, but it didn't have anything to do with her sickness. She'd shake her head and offer him a reassuring smile. "N-No I'm fine, th-thank you." Even if his reasons for the suggestion were more logical or scientific, she took it as a display of concern. "Squad Eleven t-tends to m-make me nervous.." After she had asked her question, she waited patiently for her answer. However, after a bit she assumed that he wasn't going to reply, her question either ignored or simply too unreasonable to respond to. Her seemingly failed attempt at socializing left her even more frazzled than before, and she tugged at the sleeves of her kimono, head hung slightly and cheeks burning. Tatsumaki would wait in a tense silence for the Captain to open the door, but before that her fellow Lieutenant spoke up and answered her question.

As he talked she'd look up, tilting her head a little. His answer intrigued her since it made him seem as though he was fairly new to the Seireitei as a whole, but she remembered that one of his underlings had commented on his age. She'd try to piece the two bits of information together, but was still curious. Perhaps they simply had a different grasp of what a "long time" was. She wouldn't have time to form a response though, since Yagari opened the door causing the girl's stomach to drop, body immediately going rigid. Her face would pale and she was forced to look up to meet the Captain's gaze, her small stature making her seem even tinier than usual compared to the two giants in her proximity. Subconsciously Tatsumaki would reach out a trembling hand to grab at Nyhil's sleeve, cowering behind him slightly unless he moved and avoided her grip. Tears formed in the corners of the terrified girl's eyes, yet despite her fear she would stagger into the room after Yagari, still clinging to her fellow Lieutenant if he had allowed it.

Wide eyes would dart between the drinking man and his seemingly endless supply of liquor that he had pointed at. She herself had never been a fan of it as it was far too bitter for her tastes. Nevertheless, the offering did nothing to soothe her, especially at the Captain's last words. A chill ran through the girl and she shuddered, though her body remained shaking even after the moment had passed. This was why she hated dealing with Squad Eleven. Taking a deep breath, Tatsumaki would attempt to explain their presence there, bowing quickly before she spoke. "U-U-Um.." Even something as simple and seemingly nonchalant as this had the girl practically falling apart. Her breathing had picked up, goosebumps covered her skin, and even the corners of vision began to blur, the room starting to spin. She would have gladly taken a seat, had she not been terrified to move an inch. "W-W-We.. U-U-Um.."

Taking in another shuddering breath she'd try again. "W-We w-w-wanted t-t-t-!" Try as she might, she couldn't get a sentence out, choking and tripping over her own words. Wrapped up in her nerves, all the girl could hear was a ringing in her ears and she sound of her own heartbeat pounding against her chest. Lower lip trembling, Tatsumaki would cast a desperate glance to Nyhil, hoping he could explain why they had come, since she obviously could not.

[OOC: Tatsumaki is so itty bitty compared to these two. ; O ;]

“Oh, yes...there is a traditional distaste between them and your squadron isn't there?” The question was a statement, he wasn't expecting an answer. He had heard of the dissection between the battle squad and the healers – it was of course – highly unintelligent given one couldn't do the former well while lacking the later. Silly grandstanding that he didn't see a need or reason for, certain emotions and actions he doubted he would ever understand. Such as grabbing him...

Nyhil grit his teeth a moment when Tatsumaki grabbed his sleeve, it wasn't actually him per say – not at first – but he managed to not pull away. Mostly because his first thought was that she might finally be lapsing into unconsciousness. When he recognized the dilation in her eyes he knew it was fear and not health that had caused her to react so informally. Putting his aversion to being touched aside for the time being. The presence of the eleventh squad captain was distracting enough to make that easy – his glasses were alive with information – reading what they could of the absurd level of energy that followed him. Unlike his fellow lieutenant he didn't immediately de-evolve into a shivering stuttering mess.

“A pleasure Captain Shizuka, we haven't yet met. I am Lieutenant Nyhil Dakkar of Squad 12, a recent appointee. I've been hoping to set up a friendly competition between the squadrons involving battles and hoped that I could garner your approval in such an endeavor. As we would need to discuss it with various squadrons leaders to get it accepted by the General.” Nyhil explained where Tatsumaki was unable. This was about as 'blunt' as Nyhil could be. Normally it would have taken him much longer to get to what he wanted but the Captain had asked him to make it direct. He assumed if the Captain had questions that he would ask, so he left it at that.

OOC: Yup, that was pretty short and to the point for Nyhil.

The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword

Yagari followed the movements of both Lieutenant's as they entered his office, starting with the Squad 4 Lieutenant. She was a short girl with deep green eyes, very pretty by Yagari's standards and deathly afraid of Yagari it seemed. He scanned the way she moved her body and tensed up, he noticed she sought for comfort or protection rather from Yagari's gaze with the other Lieutenant. The girl could barely speak due to her uneasiness around the Kenpachi which seemed normal enough to him since Squad 4 lived in fear of Squad 11, not that Yagari himself approved of it but he wasn't about to interfere with his squad unless it caused some sort of issue and to this day it had not. Yagari wasn't fond of having pretty girls such as this one afraid of him for no good reason so he lowered his reiatsu and suppressed his his blood lust and killing intent as much as he could, it was his way of showing concern and some sensitivity. "Relax and sit down Lieutenant Hyousetsu, calm down. I hold no ill intent towards beautiful ladies such as yourself with no good reason."Yagari's tone was light as he spoke to the girl, he didn't want to cause her any more discomfort than he had already, all the while he also studied the other Lieutenant.

The Squad 12 Lieutenant seemed a lot more confident to Yagari as he studied his movements, Yagari could see that he was trying to analyze Yagari as much as he could and he also was very composed even after Yagari's pressure escaped his previous words. This one, was very interesting. Yagari listened to the man as he drank from his liquor once more, they suggested fighting? Well this was certainly a surprise, albeit a welcome one.
"Well then Lieutenant Dakkar, you are in luck because it just so happens that I brought this to the attention of the Head Captain not too long ago... Although I did it in my way and for my selfish reasons, I have a scheduled sparring session set up with The Captain of Squad 2, this could be used as the 'Opening Ceremony' if you wanna put it that way. I approve of your initiative and would like to personally invite the both of you to attend this sparring session and give you free reign to invite anyone you speak to about this matter. The competition could be held here in Squad 11 since we just finished our new underground training area, I have no problems with anyone from any squad using for sparring, hell, I'll even referee if need be!"The excitement in Yagari's voice was obvious, it was a joy that came from his desire to fight. The mere simple fact that this was his only skill in life made him yearn for combat, even if it was just a means of training, it allowed him to be at ease with himself and he relished in every moment of it. He took another swig of his alcohol and awaited the response from the Lieutenants eagerly

And a ruler who hides behind paid executioners soon forgets what death is...

XXX When Yagari spoke up, Tatsumaki would hesitantly glance up at him, nodding slowly. "Th-Thank you.." She'd take his suggestion to sit down and relax as more of an order, and so she would immediately release Nyhil's sleeve and move over to a chair. "S-S-Sorry.." The apology was to both the young man she had been holding onto as well as to the Captain. At the comment after that in which Yagari called her 'beautiful', the shade of her face would reverse completely, and she went from pale to red within seconds. Gratefully she would sink into the chair, head hung slightly to conceal her face for a few moments, intently studying her feet while her fellow Lieutenant explained their reasoning there. From the moment she had sat down she began feeling the intense pressure that had been in the room before start to regress, a feeling that let the girl finally be able to relax a little. Letting out a slow breath she would sink further back into the chair, closing her eyes for a few moments to decompress.

As expected, Yagari seemed ecstatic about signing on to the sparring sessions in between squads, pointing out that he had already devised plans to do so. A match between the respective Captains of Squad Two and Eleven did seem rather interesting, and she felt it would be rude to turn down the invitation. Besides, she'd left Squad Four in order to help Nyhil arrange his idea, and so far she hadn't really accomplished much. Watching how excited he got about prospective violence was a little unnerving, but at the very least she could understand how passion influenced people. She had a passion for healing and medicine; it was where she was most at home. Nyhil, clearly, for science. And Yagari for battles. "Th-Thank you for the invitation. I'm c-certain we'll attend.." By now the girl had at least calmed down enough to speak a little more coherently. "When w-were you planning on having your spar?"

Nyhil appreciated the Captain's lowering of pressure – if only because it got the petite lieutenant to detach herself from his clothing. He straightened his uniform after she let go of him to sink into the chair, glad to have his personal bubble's integrity returned. Why was everyone around this place so quick to grab onto others? Disgusting. He was still dusting his sleeves as he listened to the Captain speak, glancing back to meet his gaze.

“I think that could function for the purpose nicely, it allows people to both practice and make certain there are not areas in which they are currently lacking. War time or not, it seems wise to keep ourselves in best condition for battle.” Nyhil replied, explaining that his own reasons were simply logical in nature. They were an army after all. “This also allows squadron four to continue to practice on wounds more grevious than those inflicted by the random lesser hollow that wander the world of the living.”

For him, it was about being prepared, not an obsession with battle, though he did seem to be in good spirits at the quick acceptance. Then again, he expected if he would have any supporters for this idea that it would be squad eleven. “Do I have permission to speak of your favor on this matter with the other captain's? I think it fitting that your squdron would host such an event since you've been so gracious as to offer. As for your combat with the 2nd squad captain, I would not wish to miss such a competition. I look forward to it.”

Nyhil hadn't sat down, but it wasn't out of rudeness, his tone was an indication that he wanted to arrange this matter swiftly as opposed to engage socially. Given his own inability at reading people it wasn't too surprising he would stick mainly with business. The eleventh squad captain wasn't one he'd like to irritate without knowing why.

The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword

Yagari kept his gaze on both Lieutenants, namely for the reason that he loved analyzing people. He saw the look on Hyousetsu's face as he complimented her and the way her body and breathing stabilized as he suppressed his energy, he took notice of her quirks and mannerisms as he calmly took another drink of alcohol, by now the large pitcher mostly empty, it held enough for one more drink. He wandered if the girl's stutter was normal or if she was still feeling discomfort from Yagari or the situation itself but he decided against asking because such things only add to the insecurities of an already seemingly insecure person. Instead he smiled as she spoke in the most polite way he could to show that he was not only a savage killer, but a person as well if he wanted to be. "Thank you for accepting the invitation Lieutenant Hyousetsu, as for your question; The spar will be held here as well in our new facility. It's a great way to break it in."He replied with a light tone and a smile as he ran his hand through his hair pulling it away from his face, the hair however, defiant as ever decided to fall back down to his face and at that Yagari relented and simply pushed to the side and away from his eyes as he took the last of the alcohol in his pitcher.

Lieutenant Dakkar was also being observed, Yagari took quick notice at his unfriendly disposition when it came to being touched, the way he dusted himself off right after coming into contact with the Squad 4 Lieutenant was enough to make Yagari deduce that he either disliked being touched for personal space issues or simply because he was a germofobe. He heard as he spoke, surprisingly enough he shared a similar view with Yagari on the battle situation of the Seiretei, he wasn't expecting someone from Squad 12 to have that outlook, although it was extremely welcome to him.
"I agree with your point of view Lieutenant Dakkar. Battle readiness is necessary in peace or war times and is somewhat overlooked which is why I had also brought this up in the past. I have a very limited set of skills outside of battle so this is why I always look to engage in combat but I do enjoy training and if anyone cares for improvement in combat I will certainly lend a hand so that is another reason why I offer up my facilities, so that if anyone wishes to receive instruction they know where to come and who to seek out."Yagari spoke in a calm tone as he set his pitcher down on his desk,. Yagari was the Kenpachi, not for anything less than his skill in battle and monstrous reiatsu, the short temper and aggressive demeanor were just bonuses that added to the reputation that a Kenpachi normally possesses, in truth Yagari was a very reasonable individual, although not really the brightest bulb in the shed he at least had common sense. "You have my permission to express my approval to other Captains and my hosting of this event, also you can relay to them that if anyone in any Squad wishes instruction in Hakuda or Zanjutsu they may ask me for assistance; I hold regular classes for my Squad and would be perfectly fine to have more people join in."Yagari tried keeping his words short and to the point, he noticed the Squad 12 Lieutenant's tone and refusal to sit and figured that they had much ground to cover so he did not want to keep them any longer than necessary so that they may continue on with their task.

And a ruler who hides behind paid executioners soon forgets what death is...

XXX While Tatsumaki agreed with everything that was being said, she wouldn't bother to comment on it since it would probably expend more energy than it was worth. Instead she'd sit quietly, hands folded in her lap, politely listening to the exchange between Yagari and Nyhil. The only thing really bothering her at this point had been her fellow Lieutenant's reaction upon releasing him from her grip. Grabbing onto him had been a reflexive action, but nevertheless she was fairly certain it had bothered him to a certain extent, so she'd make sure to apologize formally. At the very least, the Captain had proven not to be quite as brutish as she had originally thought although she'd still remain wary of him. It wouldn't be wise to make an enemy out of him after all.

As the meeting seemed to be drawing to a close, Tatsumaki would rise from her seat, though she momentarily kept her hand on the back of the chair for support. "We'll p-pass on the message, thank you, C-Captain." Smiling, the girl would bow. Hakuda and Zanjutsu were areas that she was decent in, yet she certainly needed more work. Despite that, learning from Yagari seemed quite a bit.. daunting. Rising from her bow the girl would once more rest her hand on the chair for balance. "I'm sure th-that we'll be in contact again soon. Please take care." Hesitantly she'd release her temporary crutch, turning to walk out the door where she'd wait for Nyhil. Unless he had another preference, she'd begin leading him toward Squad Two.

[OOC: EXIT. Short post, hope this is okay. Yagari is welcome to tag along as well. XD ]

It didn't surprise Nyhil that the battle squadron would have brought up such a topic in the past. They often seemed ready to punch someone in the nose for looking in their general direction. Or, if someone bumped into them, or really for any reason at all up to and including the highly illogical like 'felt like it'. Still, he nodded, he supposed his initiative being set up by a member of a different squad might have a higher chance of success. “I admit, I would be curious to see the measure by which you train in Hakuda as hand to hand is my specialty.”

Albeit, he didn't directly accept the offer out of not wanting to stand up the man given his own busy schedule. It wasn't fear, no, Nyhil reacted to things much differently than other people. There was little reason to fear the Captain, likely should the Kenpachi had desired his death there was little he could do but attempt to futilely avoid it. Besides, it wasn't his death that Nyhil feared. He offered a slight bow. “I will bring it up as is appropriate, I appreciate your support in this matter. If you'll excuse us, we should be off to speak with the other Captain's.”

Then he was after Tatsumaki, curious as to just how deep her phobia of the battle squadron ran but not so much of a social moron to bring it up in front of Yagari directly. Of course, in visiting the second squadron she could be spooked enough to grab onto him again. He let out a light sigh, the crosses he bore in service to his cause.

(Exit after Tatsumaki.)
