It had been a long time since she set a paw in the Pride Lands, she was barely an adult then, she'd met her brother, her litter mate Tetemeko, and had met her father, Kubwa. It hurt too much to see that Tetemeko had, had an upbringing that she did not. Her adoptive mother had done her best but had been quite cold and was just trying to get by. Tetemeko had been loved and in a warm environment.
She had traveled, following visions and trying to determine her path in life, and everything led back here. The visions her goddess mother had left her with gave her splitting headaches that felt as if the Earth was shattering. She wanted to see where life had taken her family.
With heavy paws she weaved in and out of the low shrubs and contemplated what she would say. She knew from the visions Tete wouldn't be here and knew that Kubwa would, but there were so many questions that the visions could not answer. They were few and far between these days.

Hadaya was happy to be out and about. After growing ill for so long, he had been hidden away in his den for a lot longer than he had thought. He was in a lot of pain for a long time, but now he was feeling much better.
Things were different. He was alone, and that saddened him, but it was his time to start a new path in his life. He was not yet old, living the prime of his life. He was in a wonderful home and had a lot of family to give him love and care. He could find something more for himself, to start again. He had done it before. A few times.
This was not something new to him. It was sad, but he was determined to make things better.
He did not notice anyone nearby just yet, padding along to find himself something light to eat and some clean water to drink. Really, it was just good to be out in the fresh air, away from his den, and using his paws again. He felt strong, and smiled at the sun.
