[Contest] Jahy Sarlarin Cubs - Over.

...welcome to this very belated contest for two cubs from the Burkuteshti faction of the Jahy Sarlarin! They are the children of the Bey, Sungus sim Sazhan, and his Hatun, Havyan bint Tas. This means that ICly, they are very important cubs! The males of the litter all have the potential to succeed their father if/when he dies or steps down; otherwise, and until then, both they and the females will hold the basic warrior rank of the pride. They have no official special status or authority, and are expected to earn their way through life like everyone else.

More Details

• Names should observe pride tradition - they should be Turkish/Arabic/Persian/etc. in origin. The boy's name should carry the suffix 'sim Sungus,' while the girl's suffix should be 'bint Havyan.' Because of the suffix addition, long first names are uncommon.
  
• The cubs must stay in the pride, at least until one of them is selected as the next Bey. It is preferred that they stay regardless, but may leave if there is good IC reason.
  
• This contest will remain open for 2 weeks from its posting.
  
• You may enter for both cubs, but can only win one.
  
• If you enter for both cubs, you will need to post an individual form for each.
  
• They were born in August (like I said, this contest is very belated).

Havyan bint Tas

Named for her rough behavior, Havyan is 'rough' around the edges. She's bold and lacks many social graces. She's a fighter, not a lover, and thinks it's about time her mate put that Qyrhyeshti scum out of his misery. She also would have done it herself, had she had the chance. She's not the brightest bulb in the pack, but when it comes to battle she's as apt as they come. She struggles to articulate strategy or plans before battle, but in the heat of the moment she is a genius at split-second changes of tactics that have won her a good deal of respect in the past.

Her children will be raised in rather Spartan fashion - they will not be abused, but there is no place for weakness in the Jahy, and she will not be the one to have any of her children exhibit it. Cubs can expect little in the way of affection, but in the event they manage to make their mother proud, well, they'll certainly know it. It falls to her to pick the next Bey from her sons, and they will be especially scrutinized. They can expect to be fed on a diet of fierce loathing for the 'damn Qyr scum'; there will be NO sympathy in this den, thank you! And it's hard to be fond of someone when your family's den is padded and decorated with their pelts, after all.

Entering for: Cub 1 (Male)
Name: Zeki sim Sungus
Meaning: Intelligent
Personality: Zeki definitely has the brains his father wants, but as a cub and a young lion is very weak and not nearly at the level his parents want and the pride needs him to be at. He doesn't let that, nor the disappointment he knows he's bringing to his parents get him down. Determined, creative, and driven, Zeki will end up being a force to be reckoned with.
Anything extra to add, ideas, etc.: He'll be very slim for a male as he grows and rather awful at fighting because of his lack of weight and stamina. I'd love for lots of tough love from mom and even a few instances of head shaking and 'he's hopeless' or something along those lines from mom and dad to help drive him to succeed. Once he starts to grow in his mane he'll finally fill out, becoming a properly sized male, and make his parents proud! -happy tear-

Name: Aqila bint Havyan
Meaning: Intelligent
Personality: Aqila is not only smart but strong. She trains hard and fights harder. She wants to be just as good as her brother. When her mother isn't around she does have a softer side and will show her loving tendencies towards her siblings but never when either of her parents are around she wants them to only see her as strong and intelligent.
Anything extra to add, ideas, etc.: Aquila will always be angry that she isn't a boy and there for can't become the Bey. In her opinion she is just as good if not better than the boys and think she should be able to be a Bey just like them if she can prove her worth.

Name: Volkan sim Sungus
Meaning: Volcano
Personality: Volkan is aptly named for his explosive tendencies. Bursts of energy, surprise attacks, or eating contests with his siblings, whether or not they are aware that he's trying to win. Everything was a race, with his siblings it was all fun and games. Upon his success he would refer to his competitors as "QyrhyeSTINKERS". In his mind when his parents saw him victorious, they were proud of him. Pride became his idea of love.

In his youth he will be the kind to act first and think later. It may lead him into some pretty sticky situations, bu no mater the outcome, he was learning a lesson. When the Bey speaks, he listens. The thought of taking over the title for the pride was not something he figured he would ever be worthy of, it was honestly one of the few things that scared him into night terrors.

Physically, I see him as a "big boned" lion, (a little thick about his mid-section) but more than capable of coming out on the top of a battle. His perimeter routes will consist of vigorous work outs, but he has a serious appetite. It's not as if he steals food from others, if he's hungry, he will catch himself something.
Anything extra to add, ideas, etc.: His biggest desire/ wish would be to be a part of the action that takes down the scummy Qyrhyesti. Not evil, probably would only leave the pride to bring in a female and some cubs to freshen up the breeding pool in the pride.

Name: Sholeh 'bint Havyan
Meaning: Flame in Persian.
Personality: Looking like a minature version of their mother she pretty much has the same temperment. A born fighter she doesn't even consider gender as an issue and allows herself no excuses when she spars with her brothers. Quite sharp-minded she puts her witts towards the art of war and politics. A true beliver in the superiority of the Burkuteshti her main goal in life is to over throw the pretenders and claim their land. Preferably she wants to drive them into extinction but would be content with simply destroying the pride, even if she can't kill all of them.
She can fight as well as any male but where as her mother's speciality is in the middle of the fight, Sholeh is in the planning of stratagy and ambushes. Something she takes great pleasure in. Though failure is particularly hard for her mainly because she sets her own standards so very high.
Anything extra to add, ideas, etc.:
She will meet an older Muharip female, 'Izzah bint Rukan, and study warfair with her as an adolescent. The pair will become close, or as close as two violently-minded females can be and will often work together during the fighting to overcome much larger opponants or even groups of Qyrhyeshti lions.
If she were ever to take a mate he would have to match up to her high expectations in both physical strength and mental aptitude.

Name: Khadija bint Havyan
Meaning: “premature child”
Personality: Khadija is spirited and a little fireball. Since she was born smaller than the rest of her siblings, she is always trying to prove her worth. She will definitely not let her siblings outshine her if she has anything to do about it. While she can be just as rough as her mother, she is still very affectionate towards her siblings. Even when she tries to beat them at everything, she will still find a way to show them that she loves them. She is an eager learner. While she isn't the smartest cub, she will always put her best paw forward.
Anything extra to add, ideas, etc.: I imagine she'll grow up to be a great warrior and become more calculating as she gets older. I'd love for her to become a teacher when she reaches an elderly age.
