A prison which was built in the deepest and darkest portion of the tunnel system. One has to travel down thousands upon thousands of steps to reach this dungeon and once inside they are stripped of all powers by runes etched into the walls and shackles that the prisoners wear. The guards are given armor to counter the effects of the warding magic and keep their powers. Each cell can be modified to hold a specific person.

Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Upon stepping out of the portal Nine felt the runes pulling on his strength. It got worse when he stepped into the cell made for him. He looked around the small room briefly before turning back to Grim. "There is a room here for anyone my father considers an enemy. Tell me, do you think he won't have a room for you too?" Nine asked as he sat down on the stone slab that would become his bed. It was dark in here, much like his cave. He didn't mind it that much however the lack of powers did bother him.

"My wife's father was the driving force that gave Lucian his power and Lucian still beheaded the man. No matter what your rank, when he determines you are a better message than soldier, you best mind your neck." Nine said as he stood up and took a step towards the doorway to the cell and Grim. "If this can hold me, it can hold you as well. For both our sakes, let's hope it can't hold me for more than a few years." With those words said Nine turned and began waiting for his father. Dameon sighed as he noticed he had walked right into the dungeon. He had been far too lost in his thoughts and precautionary measures to ensure his own survival in the coming battles. Though the odd feeling nagging that had been nagging at him was made clear. The dungeon stripped one of all their power and Dameon almost felt mortal had he not known his curse remained unaffected.
He glanced around and saw the crying pathetic souls who had opposed Lucian or committed a crime. No matter how large or small they were all punished. It was mild compared to what he himself would have done but this time around he was a soldier not the ruler and it was an interesting change of pace. It was as he examined the cells he noticed one separate from the others. Isolated and alone and set aside from the others. He knew who resided in the cell without even having to think. It was Nine's cell. Set aside so the man could not speak to the other inmates.
"Good day, Nine." Dameon said as he approached a small stool across from the cell and pulled out his tome. It was a journal. His way of recording history as he watched events unfold though it was by nature a hobby to help pass the down time. but in doing so he had recorded the rise and fall of many now forgotten civilizations. Recorded near extinctions of the human race sometimes by their own hands.
"Would you mind a small chat? If not I could leave. Then again you don't have to answer anything. You've earned my respect during our fight three months ago and while I doubt that means anything to you, you have it none the less." Dameon said evenly not caring one way or another. He mainly wanted to learn. Learn how these 'numbers' as they were called had eluded him and why if they were so ancient they had not stepped in to try and stop him when he ruled for thousands of years. He knew he was no Lucian, but he was powerful in his own right. Nine being the first to actually push him and Dameon knew if Nine had been at his best he would have been forced to transform into his true form that he hated with a passion.
"Before you speak though, know that I am not here to interrogate you as there is no reason to. I am here simply to learn. Why if you are so old, have you never stepped in when I conquered this realm uncountable times? Where have you been hiding? What are your kind truly called? How is your kind so powerful? So many questions about your kind. But most of all, I want to know of Lucian. Who is he exactly? What are his motives? what makes him tick? And why do you, his own son, not stand with him?" Dameon rambled on with his questions before he paused to let the man speak.

Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three months now. That was the count in Nine's head. You could lock him away in the deepest darkest places, devoid of all light, but you could not take away his ability to keep track of time. It wasn't even supernatural, he was just good at counting. He had plenty of time to count in the dungeon. He counted all sorts of things. He had not become so bored as to count all the stones in his cell but in time he may even go so far as to name each one. He heard the slight tapping of footsteps moving down towards the dungeon and knew someone had come to visit. Within these three months he had become increasingly familiar with the guard's shifts. His father was not making things easy though. Every week the shifts were changed and Nine's progress in tracking a pattern would be set back.
The numbered one sat in the corner of his cell looking up at the ceiling and counting. His ankles had been shackled together to prevent his from moving too quickly and his hands had been bound to keep him from fighting any guards effectively. That would only last so long. He knew Lucian would find some other way to trap him. Nine looked towards the doorway to the dungeon to see that Dameon had come in. The numbered one did not move. He had no reason to. When Dameon approached his cell he remained in his spot and throughout Dameon's statements and question's nine remained unmoving. When Dameon had finished speaking Nine allowed a long pause to hang in the air. A pause so long it seemed as if he would not respond at all.
"I would decline but honestly I have very little else to do in here." Nine final said in a low and gravelly voice. He had not spoke much in three months. It had effected his vocal cords. Nine started with Dameon's first question. "The last time you took control of this land, I had nothing to fear. Nothing to lose. No wife, no son, no allies. I allowed you to take this world because I was not effected in any way. Besides I was much younger when you last conquered. I spent my years traveling throughout all of time and space in those days. Now I have seen to much and gone to far to adventure like that anymore, so I stay here and help the people who can not help themselves. It is how I atone for what I did during the Zaibatsu's sixteen years of peace, and what I did to my people." Nine paused and slowly got to his feet. The chains binding his arms and legs rattled as he shuffled across the cell to the other corner. "I was never really hiding. I just wasn't doing anything worth noting. All I wanted was to see the world, now I struggle to change it."
After another slight pause Nine turned in the dark corner of his cell to look at Dameon. "In regards to what my kind were originally called... I am not sure even I remember. For a time we were The Grey. Our world had not time and our sky was grey so it did fit. Then we became known as Numbered Warriors and Numbered Beings. Ironically not all of my kind were numbered. My father is proof of that. But what we were first called, I struggle to remember." Nine took another pause. Speaking so much hurt after such a long period of silence. It burned slightly more than he would have enjoyed.
"We were not all this powerful. In fact we were much like you. Granted we always had immense power, after what I did to my planet everyone who survived was far stronger than they had been before." Nine paused and scratched his chest just over his heart. As he did a very odd sound was emitted, the usual scratching noise came first but it had a peculiar undertone. The undertone sounded like someone was scratching glass. "I'm not sure what his motivations are anymore. He can't bring back our family, our world, our people. He can't lead them to rule over all the realms. He can only create the tyrannical empire he would have made if I hadn't stopped him."

Dameon nodded as he pulled out a quill and began writing in his book. He wrote out what the man said about the number warriors and adding his own thoughts upon the mans words deducing the man before him was the reason there were so few of his kind left.
"The sacrifice of the few to save the many." he muttered as he finished writing. He had ignored the sound of the mans scratching.
"Perhaps it would be wise of me to get you water. Your voice is absolutely horrid." with a chuckle he waved his hand to a guard and asked him for some water of which he obliged.
"Interesting. So you are far more selfish than you let on. Then again I can't fault you. I myself went and explored the world... Well this one and Purgatory." Dameon said with a solemn sigh.
"That was of course after I was cursed. Though I am surprised you would protect these mortals. They are so full of corruption and hatred and wage war for something as small as spilling wine on a new pair of robes." he snorted with disgust at the memory of seeing such a war happen. There was a long pause after he spoke as a far away look entered his eyes as he remembered the past.
"I was not always like this. So full of dislike for the mortals. Quite the opposite actually, after all I was once mortal myself. I sought to try to keep peace between all things. To make a world where my wife and I would have been happy to raise a large family. But when I died after i was cursed, I was gone for over 500 years before I was able to return to this realm and she was gone. My light was gone. So I resumed my goal to make a peaceful world. But try as I might, these mortals found the pettiest reasons to start wars, be it women, land, resources or greed. As time went I came to understand one thing. Man must be controlled not guided as they twist your words of guidance. As long as mortals remain war will always exist." Dameon spoke with a solemn tone once more as he nodded to the guard who had given him water and when the guard had returned to his post Dameon stood up and placed the wooden cup just outside of Nine's cell so that he could have it.
"Now do not mistake this gesture as an act of kindness or sympathy, Nine. It is simply my honor that dictates that I give you something refreshing for speaking with me." Dameon spoke evenly with narrowed eyes.
"Now I do have a few more questions. Why did Lucian originally want to rule the realms? And my earlier question, why you do not stand with Lucian? He claims to seek a world of peace and equality or so that's how he makes it sound. But your words say differently." he asked as he took a few steps back but keeping his eyes on Nine should the man try anything with the water he had given to the man. He knew the man's powers were sealed at the moment but that made him no less dangerous. He wanted to see if the man would try to take advantage of this small gift.

Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the guard brought him the water Nine gave a simple motion that said he would not drink it. He was trying to keep Dameon from getting in trouble. The guards would certainly report anything that happened here to Lucian and he was uncertain how his father would react to anyone helping him. So Nine chose not to take the chance. He said nothing about the water that resided just outside his cell. He just left it with the motion that he would not drink.
"Selfish? Well that is one way to look at it. The way I see it, to oppose you I would need to raise an army and then countless others would have died because I didn't want you to control some chunk of land." Nine spoke in a lone tone that seemed to echo throughout his cell. He had not moved from the dark corner of his chamber. Nine thought over the things Dameon had said before responding further.
"You underestimate them. They are capable of love, compassion, and kindness. We are the ones who corrupt them. Our endless lives flaunt power in front of them. So close for them to reach. We create the dark ambition inside them. We are the reason they kill each other for power." Nine paused and cleared his throat making it slightly less scratchy. "For more than a few centuries I believed my wife to be dead. I believed I had killed her with the rest of my kind. I stopped looking and that was when she found me. Maybe you'll be lucky, maybe your wife will find you." Nine spoke as if he knew something that Dameon did not. He didn't, this cell had prevent his foresight of the future. Still, it would plant the questions it was meant too.
"At first I believed him to be a tyrant. When I awoke in the mist of ashes all I could do was wonder why he had done as he had. I mourned for a few centuries and thought over that question. Why? Why would he throw everything away? These days I do not know why he really did what he did. Hell maybe he doesn't even know, but if anyone would, it would be him. Good luck asking though." Nine paused again and shifted slightly in his dark corner. "I know he claims to seek peace, but the price he is willing to pay for it is too great. He would murder billions to bring peace to only a few million. That is not balance. That is not fair, it's not free will. It is veiled tyranny."

Dameon smirked at the man's refusal to drink the water he had offered. Though the mention of his wife being possibly alive caused him to narrow his eyes ever so slightly.
"If she yet lives then I have failed to protect her from a fate worse than death." Dameon said darkly before taking a deep breath.
"Forgive me, but when I was cursed she was there but I bore the curse meant for her." He did not like to speak of his wife as it made him uncertain of his path in this unending life of his. So he chose to change the subject.
"Anyway, as I was saying, Humans, mortals, all of them are capable of good and evil. I do not underestimate them. I have seen it with my own eyes. Yet more often than not I watched as man chose to embrace there inner darkness. They prefer war over peace. To shed the blood of their own brothers and sisters for greed and power. Corruption is in their nature. I have indeed seen the good they can do. Such compassion and love yet the moment their own life is in peril they flee and abandoned those they claim they care for! They good does not outweigh the darkness they embrace! For that they must be controlled! Otherwise this world is doomed to be destroyed at their hands." He spoke with conviction and knowledge of experience. He had watched as brothers killed each other for a throne or a woman.
"If Lucian is capable of attaining peace at the price of billions to be enjoyed by a few million then he will have succeeded where I had failed. Yet, I can not help but feel that even if he is to be victorious in conquering this world and ever realm here after, he will fall. Humans will never be satisfied with what they have after all. They will want to rule themselves and then peace will reign after his fall only for the people to grow restless. Then war will be waged once more. It is the cycle that mortals follow and it has yet to be broken. Mortals are the embodiment of chaos, after all." Dameon chuckled a little as he grabbed the glass of water and downed it in a single gulp and leaving the cup just outside of Nine's reach. Upon the cup was a rune Dameon had engraved upon the it. It was powerless of course due to the dungeon but it was a new rune Dameon had created. The rune was created for eavesdropping upon others had it the magic needed to sustain it.
"Now while it has been wonderful chatting with you, I must go and report to Lucian. He's been fairly quiet of late, no doubt planning his next move. Though I may return to speak with you once more." he said as he waved over his shoulder before heading for the dungeon entrance slowly in case Nine called out.

Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I can tell your wife is a sore subject. I understand, I have had that same problem before." Nine said as he sat down on the stone slab in his corner that seemingly served as a chair or table if he was sitting on the floor. Nine began fiddling with his finger and mumbling numbers, or names, with his kind it was hard to tell. Then he began mumbling the numbers one through nine, always stopping at nine and starting again. All of this was done quietly so that he could still hear Dameon speaking.
When Dameon finished Nine began "We corrupt them. We show them the power they can't have. If they didn't know it they wouldn't struggle and kill to get it." Nine paused and stood, slowly walking forward to the cell bars. "Billion's should never die so millions can live. If anything it should be the other way around." Then Nine fell silent. He turned and walked back towards the dark corner of his cell and he sat down. Dameon had about reached the door now and Nine called out one last time. "Everything ends. Lucian knows that, so what exactly do you think he plans to do with his followers when it all ends?"

Dameon paused and stood in the middle of the hall and turned his and spoke over his shoulder so that the guards would not hear him though he didn't care if they did. "If Lucian turns his back upon me and betrays me, well..." He let the statement to Nine's imagination. He had various contingency plans in place for such an event. Dameon let out a sigh as he walked up to one of the guards and told him to encase the cup in a barrier to allow it to be active before calling out to Nine.
"Perhaps if we had not been on opposing sides we might have been able to be friends. After all you and your father are more alike than you realize. If you ever want to chat though That rune on the cup can be used to contact me though its only one way and will only last for a few days or so." With a wave he left the dungeon. He needed to stretch his legs a bit and to do that he would have to request a mission or something from Lucian.

The female had managed to stick to the shadows. Her infiltration of the building had gone a little too smoothly for her liking and it was the number one reason she had not let her guard down. " Now lets see..." She whispered her words quietly as she navigated the dungeon. The woman had no chance to study blueprints or engage in surveillance, at this moment, she was far more unprepared than she could be comfortable with. She traveled for a few more paces before locating the desired cell which held Nine within its boundaries. Her eyes fixed on him for a moment as she attempted to communicate with him telepathically. They were the only things visible against the black of the shadows she lingered in. Shu could tell this was her target simply from the gut feeling she had. The ex-interrogator looked at Nine for a moment before turning her attention to her surroundings. Her hand quivered faintly as it reached behind her and rested on the collapsed form of her bow Tiāntáng zhī cì. She was on edge and being in a dungeon meant that a patrol could arrive at any given moment. She had seen that the male known as Nine was alive. It was time to get out without being noticed. If she was noticed then things would get complicated quickly. She needed a way to speak to Nine telepathically as her figure slipped into a near by shadow for cover it could provide better than the open room she had stood in. She had attempted to do so but the power failed her. This was not good she needed more time to plan but the foot steps she heard told her time was short.
