Irina grabbed a bottle of flavored water from a table and plopped into a chair with a sigh, ignoring the sideways looks and whispering from the other models. They did that all the time anyway. She retained enough awareness to shoot encouraging smiles at the nervous-looking newbies, but for the most part was just glad to be off her feet. Being a model was nowhere near as easy as most would believe it to be. She'd been running around the set all day for what felt like a ton of different shoots, and this was her first real break.
Taking a sip from her bottle she let her eyes scan the crowds that tended to form anytime they did shoots outdoors. Her command of French wasn't perfect, but she knew enough to understand the voices that drifted to her ears. She took another sip of water and found her eyes wandering to the old buildings that surrounded them. There were some lovely buildings here (she'd already been to the Eiffel Tower today), but when it came to old architecture she preferred the ruins in Greece or the old castles in Scotland. It seemed like some of the most spectacular sights were out in the middle of vast swathes of green nowhere.
Her eyes drifted back to the crowd again, and suddenly she did a double-take. A pale face stood out. She remembered this man and his distinctive features. She'd spotted him at a lot of the places she'd frequented because of work. Of course Europe was fairly small and it was easy to travel through several countries in a day if one cared to, but the coincidence of it had nagged her into approaching him for a conversation. He was a quiet fellow, and his answers hadn't been enough to completely satiate Irina's curiosity. He was close to the ropes that separated the crowd from the staff and models, not exactly looking like he was sneaking but also out of the way. He probably didn't feel like getting crushed in the crowd, and Irina couldn't blame him. His position and her rising curiosity settled her mind, and she rose to her feet, casually drifting over and trying not to draw attention to herself.
"Hello there Stranger. Looks like we meet again." She put a friendly smile on her face as she politely looked the man over, hoping she wasn't going to frighten him off by her direct approach. She was surprised at how interested she was to learn more about a guy she didn't even know existed a few days ago. She chalked the feeling up to boredom from enduring the long hours posing in front of a camera.Depawsit So finally getting this roleplay started after who knows how long XD I hope you were still wanting to work on them and that guild roleplay is okay. I went back and reread the plot stuff we'd talked about, so that's how I started the roleplay. I just stuck them in France, cause that's what Roux's name reminded me of.

Admittedly, he was never the best at what he was trying to do. Hell, he wasn't even sure what it was he was trying to do half the time. All those strange photos, plastered across hotel room walls, little bits of string relaying the photos from one destination form the next. All the while, he would sit back in his comfy chair, sipping at his tea or cocoa, whatever the weather called for. Tapping his paws against his chin, attempting to argue himself out of his next voyage .. all in pursuit of her.
Yet, here he was, another face among the crowd. Or would be if he were any good at his quest. Instead Irina had locked eyes with him at least once in their journeys across the world. The frilly girl's voice in the back of his head assured him they had locked eyes countless times. But he tried his best to block those taunts away. She'd never tried to confront him before! Surely if the two had made such intimate contact before, she would be curious!? Irina wasn't just a pretty face ... OK a beautiful face! She had a good head on her shoulders too!
Which is why it did not at all surprise him, when her figure began to move towards him from the corner of his eye. He knew he couldn't run, his feet were rooted to the ground. The jig was up, and well he'd just have to face the music as it smacked him in the face.
Gulping down the only bit of courage he could muster, his shaky little head slowly turned in Irina's direction with the strangest smile one could imagine. "S-Stranger?" He asked, looking from side to side, but her eyes were locked on him. Yep, it was happening. "Have we met before?" He mumbled, trying his best to appear unknowledgable about the situation, but he knew he'd been found out the second she stepped forward.
Ears ever alert to the possibility of danger, the twitched slightly as he raised his paws in the air and his face sank in defeat. "You caught me." He grumbled, risking a small laugh to test the waters with the famed model.

Irina had to hold back a chuckle, which might have been taken as offensive or mocking, at the panicked look on the man's face, like he didn't know whether to stand his ground or flee. His body has that stiff posture that indicated his feet were locked in place with indecision. She did chuckled softly, however, at the man's muttered words and then good-natured surrender.
"Well we haven't met in so many words, but I've noticed you before. Not just from here-," her eyes flicked around, sweeping over the crowds, building, and landscape to indicate their location, "-but from several places around Europe. I wasn't sure at first if you were the same person, but you have a distinctive face. You stand out." She gave the man a friendly grin. "I figured since I seem to keep seeing you around it would only be polite to introduce myself." She held out a hand. "My name's Irina. So, you on vacation or do you actually live in one of these countries?"Depawsit I tend to automatically write anthro, but if you're more comfortable with quad that's fine too.

The sound of her voice and chuckles were like little tony wind chimes to his ears, and they relaxed ever so slightly as he listened to her voice. It was quite obviously from the light and easy going tone of her voice that she meant him no harm. Despite his extremely creepy and inexcusable behavior. He actually felt a bit ashamed of himself for what he was doing ... but only a bit. He needed her connections, her life, her publicity.
He needed her.
She just had no clue of it.
"I suppose we have, haven't we?" He asked, attempting to play the cards as calmly as possible. "I could say the same about you, but its more than your face that makes you stick out. You're ...." Pausing for a moment he debated whether he wanted to say what was on the tip of his tongue. ... EVERYWHERE!" He exploded slightly with a chuckle of his own. Just this morning, he'd seen her on a billboard. It was surreal to finally be face to face with her!
"Hmmm? Irina is it? The names Roux ... Roux Bijoux. I suppose you could say I live here. No real permanent residence. I tend to gravitate from one place to the next at random. I don't seem to be type capable to settling to one place for very long." He smiled at his own pitiful sounding life, but tried to pull it off of him for a moment. "What about you Miss? Irina? Business or pleasure?"jinxgirl5 D: Sorry for the bit of a wait! Life bit me in the rear there for a while. But school will be ending for the semester soon and i'll be a little quicker! -- I tend to switch back and forth between the two, cause, i'm awful like that. I always feel like i'm awkward in anthro, but I could give it a try if you don't laugh XD I'm up for it!

She chuckled a little at how Roux gestured when he said she was everywhere. She wasn't sure she was all that popular, but it was amusing to hear it put that way.
"Business," Irina responded, half-turning to gesture at the stage. "I travel a lot in my particular line of work. It's nice, though it can eat up a lot of time." She gave Roux a smile. "I try to make time for a bit of pleasure here and there though. It would be a shame to visit such interesting places and see nothing of them beyond a block or two and couple buildings."
She looked back towards the stage, internally debating. "I don't think they're done with me just yet, but-," she turned back to look at Roux, "-would you like to get a drink later? There's a nice cafe I found the other day. It probably won't be for a couple more hours, but-," she pulled a pen from a pocket, pulled the label off her drink bottle, and scribbled down an address, "-I'll stop by when I done. Meet me if you want. I'd love to hear about the places you've been."
Just then the sound of her name being called drifted through the noise of the crowd. "And looks like our time is up," Irina said with a bit of a chuckle. She made her way back to the dressing rooms, but not before giving another half turn and small wave of farewell to Roux.Depawsit That's fine. Also sorry it took me a bit to reply back!
