To make things fun, I've decided that this family is going to come together by random happenstance. That is, instead of having friends join up to come up with a story, or for the same old people to write with the same old people, I wanted to make things a bit random. The point of this family isn't about how they hooked up -- it could have been a fling, one night of passion, old friends blossoming into true loves, exes that came together, or loves that are now broken up -- it could be anything. That's not what's important.
Right now, the purpose of this RP contest is to let fate decide. In hopes of possibly spurring partners that might not usually plot together, or inspire people to come together even for just a moment to discuss details of the family life, individuals will be asked to enter a personality for either the mother, father, future-daughter or future-son. From those lists, I will randomize winners at the end and voila -- instant family.
You guys can then do whatever you might like -- either keep the family together, or keep them apart. What I do hope is that maybe, just maybe, this might bring some people together who don't often talk or might not often get an opportunity to work with others in Soquili. :3
Please note: Please only fill out ONE personality. Go for the individual that speaks to and inspires you most. So you can only have one entry into this contest, and that's for either Mom, Dad, or either of the kids. The reason for this is that I'd hope it means that people aren't just willy-nilly and those that win definitely want that pony. It also is my hope they'll be more willing to talk to the others and figure out what's going on with the family. :3
If someone wins and doesn't want to plot, such is their discretion. . . but we'll see how this works. I'm hoping for the best and hoping folks can at LEAST come together, if not to RP, than to figure out what's happening with the family.

Personality: He's...maybe a little bit eccentric to some. He has a habit of collecting shiny little baubles and trinkets, which mostly winds up being random junk scraps left about where others have passed through and forgotten things. But he's quite easygoing, and manages to attract all sorts of wildlife to his side, with two of his constant companions being a tiny squirrel and a swan. Nature is something that holds quite a lot of intrigue for him, and while he's not naive, he's quite taken with the beauty of the world, and the beauty of the "junk" others leave behind.

Any Future Plot Points?
- Where do we go from here? ...so... He has children now. They are fascinating, and lovely, but... Where do he and his current one-time-mate stand? How will this affect raising the little ones?
- Walk with the Earth. Not against it. He'll teach his kids to be respectful and grateful... And likely how to make animals feel safe enough to hang around them.

Personality: A bit of a diamond in the rough-- I mean really rough. Jokingly called the "golden boy" of the family, he doesn't mind the attention. However, he's driven by a very strong morality, and strives to deliver justice to the wicked, even at his own personal cost.

Personality: Inquisitive to the core, it's what attracted him to the mother of his children. He saw her and was fascinated by her interesting mane style, and her claw bracelets, and wanted to know more. Beyond that, he loves nature, hates destruction, and wants to try to preserve the world around him. In fact, it's part of what drives his curiosity. He is endlessly fascinated with how the world works, so that he can better live within it and not damage it.

Oh Gods, WHY such waste?: He finds a group of humans or other soquili, it doesn't matter which, who are careless with the land around them. They eat and let the leftovers spoil, they don't cleanse the area around where they live, and just leave a horrible mess of waste everywhere. He'd be very freaked out and yet also curious as to why they didn't care. In the end, he'd do his best to try to get them to change their ways, for the betterment of all.
Lessons in Life: He'd try his best to teach his children all the fascinating and strange things he's learned in his explorations of the world, and hopefully instill in them, through this, the urge to protect it too.

Personality: She believes herself to be part feline and will often put herself in harm’s way because she believes her cat reflexes will always save her. She tends to rub herself against objects she claims as hers. She’s also a bit arrogant and playful
Do you have a possible desire to plot with others in this family? Yes I’ve never really had the chance to rp a young family
Any Future Plot Points? Well if it’s a fling I could see the male possibly tricking her into thinking he was someone else by wearing the mask and modifying his voice and she could later find out. If it’s not a fling I could see her as viewing him as an animal healer and falling in love with him.

The Papa!Username: Mahogany Sunset Cert Temper: Composed Personality: Cool, calm, collected... It is hard to faze this stallion. He's methodical, ever aware of and assessing his surroundings. Every move he makes has a purpose, and every purpose is toward efficiency - making things work better, more easily, and with less maintenance to fret over. The few exceptions to this rule are the various forms of wildlife he looks after: the swan and the squirrel, both of whom he rescued from the brink of death, and other, more transient strays who come into his care. On them, he dotes, spending hours looking after them until they are healed. Though his two companions accompany them everywhere, he refuses to let anyone call them "his," as they are their own creatures, just as he is himself. However, even they are somewhat prone to his ministrations - he tries to keep them from expending too much energy over any one thing. Do you have a possible desire to plot with others in this family? Yes! Any Future Plot Points?
Vision Issues: He has a little bit of an issue seeing things close up, so the glasses he wears are basically rudimentary magnifying glasses. If one of the offspring ends up with them, I can envision him finding someone to craft said glasses for said offspring's own vision issues. <3
Companions: Mother and baskets meet the swan and the squirrel, and he does his best to teach him that they are not his, and should be respected as their own beings.
Inventions and Efficiency: Mom and baskets' first experience with dad's inventions and experiments. This could be anything from arranging sticks in a beaver dam to make the water flow better to an actual invention, like the concept of his glasses or a tool.

Personality: Everything is amazing and all of it calls out to be explored Right Now! He's very caring, when he remembers there's someone else around. Mostly he's easily distracted and facinated by everything. But he's free with his affections, giving quick nuzzles as a matter of course.
Do you have a possible desire to plot with others in this family? Yes, I would love to at least background plot. I don't have a computer at the moment, only a tablet, so true rp will have to wait until I get one, but I would enjoy interactions once I do.

Personality: Very rambunctious and playful. Her playing can sometimes be too much and get others hurt. Not that she means anything bad by it. Just sometimes she uses more force than necessary. She is easy to become friends with as she has a very upbeat personality. Yet she also has a temper when something strikes one of her buttons. Especially if it deals with her family. She is protective of her family even if it was from a random occurrence.
Do you have a possible desire to plot with others in this family? Yes oh please yes!
Any Future Plot Points? To get some answers- A plot of where she asks her parents how they met and how they dealt with the fact that they were going to be parents.
Oi! That hurts!- A play session gone bad. She and a friend or her brother playing when she starts getting too into it. Starts to use more force and hurting them. Whether the other gets mad and leaves or perhaps going into her apologizing profusely and feeling guilty. Those are possible ways it could go.
Tricked!- One day she meets a mean soq who tricks her into thinking that they are her friend. Trying to test her perhaps?

This girl will be possibly the oldest soul among the family. She takes on all the responsibility even if she doesn't need to. Being either the youngest or the eldest of the two baskets makes no difference. If there is a time were someone needs to be in charge, she'll step up to the plate, even shouldering out her parents. When things go wrong though her personality does an abrupt 180. She'll shrink behind another family member and try to become invisible.

Nice to meet you: The foals arrive and immediately it is apparent that something could be wrong with the family dynamic as the daughter begins to question everything and learns a lot in return. Her attitude is one of quiet reflection but at the same time she is taking in all replies and sorts them out in her mind.
Other than that at the moment .. not sure.
