Writing Contest

You are Freddy Lounds, and your job is to write an article for Tattle Crime.Com.

Write about a famous murderer - real or fictional but historically famous. It does not have to be Hannibal, in fact, I would like to see it about someone else. Example: Jack The Ripper.

It must be less than 1000 words to qualify and should draw in your reader.

There are three prizes to be won:

First prize: Rude Tattle Tale

Second prize: Surly Tattle Tale

Third Prize: The Gourmet.

Every person who enters will get 1 million gold just for entering the contest. Deadline for entries will be November the 1st. Winners will be chosen by me (angelofjoy) and the prizes will handed out in the week after halloween. Entries can be posted in the guild or in the halloween thread located here

Dean Winchester At Large

This just in, Tattlers: famed occultist and suspect in a bank robbery and over 30 unexplained deaths, Dean Winchester, has just been sighted in his hometown of Lawrence, Kansas. As some of you may recall, 35-year-old Winchester was public enemy number one for two weeks back in 2007, right before his name disappeared without a trace all over the internet, save for mentions of the character of the same name from the science fiction book series "Supernatural." When pressed about this strange occurrence, Victor Henriksen, the lead detective in the Winchester case, refused to comment. When this reporter bravely refused to back down, Detective Henriksen told her to "[expletive] off." A few weeks later, Henriksen also suffered a mysterious death in a so-called "gas leak" that killed several others. Although police say there is no evidence linking Winchester to the murder, this reporter has her suspicions.

Dean's known cohorts include his younger brother, Samuel, and another mysterious figure whom inside sources have identified only as "Castiel." It is unknown if this is the man's birth name, or simply a pseudonym. All three men have a known tendency of digging up and burning bodies in cemeteries, drawing satanic symbols in blood, and terrorizing store employees who refuse to serve them pie. Ongoing Case: My Exclusive Cover Story on The Pig Farm Killer

With a name like Robert Pickton, some might think of a humble fellow, a polite gentleman, or just that one uncle you loved to visit as a child, but no. This Mr. Pickton is one to fear. In fact, this is the most recent ongoing Canadian murder case that we at TattleCrime.com have had the pleasure to cover. I was in fact, invited to sit in at a trial hearing and was quite enamoured by this specific case. Even just looking at his demeanour in court gave me the full-on tremors of disgust that I usually only reserve for the most heinous of crimes and the most psychotic of serial killers, such as our dear Chesapeake Ripper.

The ever so lovely Mr. Pickton, also aptly nicknamed “The Pig Farm Killer” was a farmer living out in rural Port Coquitlam BC. He was used to slaughtering animals for meat products, thus desensitizing himself from the violent acts he later performed on women. Of course being a feminist, I cannot be more outraged, although the women he killed were of a low ranking. Currently, Mr. Pickton has been charged with multiple life sentences for the second degree murders of 6 women, although he claimed to have killed 49 in total.

The methods of which he killed these women were brutal and the fact that he remained unreprimanded for almost 20 years is just outrageous in the eyes of the law. Most of his victims were either prostitutes or drug users that he picked up, but instead of doing the dirty like a normal hot-blooded male, he ground up their bodies and fed them to his pigs. The pigs were of course slaughtered and later fed to the public, subsequently affecting all those who enjoy eating fresh pork. He was only apprehended by the police after they obtained a warrant to search his premises for illegal firearms, but came across an even juicier finding - they found several of the missing women’s personal belongings instead. In the end, although the police work is really not as meticulous up north, they managed to scrape up enough plausible evidence to lock the b*****d away for life. Now, if only we could do the same to our local killers...
