The sun was high in the sky. It was getting cold, but was still warm enough to be perfect for an afternoon nap. And that was exactly here a certain stallion was. He had wandered away from his family not long ago, wanting nothing more than to get some peace and quite. Between his hyperactive brother and his louder than life sister, he rarely got a moments rest! And Goyathlay liked his sleep... a lot. He flicked an ear in his sleep, grunting some, before opening his dark eyes. His tail flicked behind him, and after a few more moments, he realized he'd lost the sunlight behind a tree's shadow. And that just wouldn't do! Goyathlay liked to sleep under the suns bright rays. It warmed him further, and made him comfortable. Shaking out his rather fluffy mane, he stood up. He stretched, made sure his muscles were once more able to move after laying down so much, and then walked.
Goyathlay liked perfect places. That tree over there was too bushy. That being said, he'd probably end up with a twig or something in his mane which he'd then have to try and get out. The lake would be too busy with foals trying to have fun before it got into survive the winter time. And well. Over there was some blond mare doing something or another. And that just... wait. Goyathlay paused, his head snapping back to the left. His ears snapped up as he tried to take in the full sight of the mare. He lifted one of his legs for a moment as if he was going to approach, before lowering it back to the ground. She was lovely. He'd say as lovely as his mother even! And Goyathlay had always told his mother she was the loveliest creature on the planet. He was a mama's boy, for sure. But this mare... She was stunning!
Snorting lightly, the stallion shook out his mane, his tail giving a small flick behind him. Should he approach? Could he? What if he did and she was not interested in a chance meeting? What if he got hit with a random burst of his tired ways? What if he just laid down here and slept more? Goyathlay rolled his eyes at himself. He should try and make friends... after all, his father said he slept too much and if he kept this up he'd never have a good life.. or something. He honestly dozed off halfway through. After a small battle with himself, the gray stallion moved forward, his head held high. He let out a small whinny of a greeting, hoping not to startle the mare.

Buzz buzz buzzzzzzz
The sound of an angry bee could be heard zipping it's way through the mare's long, flowy mane. She had unintentionally and accidentally stepped on the lone bee's nesting spot, and it was with a loud, crunch that the blade of grass seeped into the ground. Daisy watched as the blade of thick grass didn't move, dead as it could have been - she figured - and now the bee had no other place of rest at the moment. She frowned, sighing softly to herself as she darted out of the way of her new-found enemy's trial of terror. This was not, not going to be good! Oh sir-e no! Having never been stung before, the young mare didn't want today to become a first.
Buzz buzz buzzzzzzz
Again, the bee darted for her head, weaving it's way in and out of her mane. Luckily for her, it was such a thick and intricate head of hair that the bee lost sight of where it was going, got turned around and was out the back of her neck before it even got a chance to turn around. She giggled - having heard the bee's angry fuss of a buzz, she was able to make a yard or two dash for it, laughing all the while. It was an interesting little game that she had begun to play and now it didn't appear as though she wanted to stop. It wasn't every day, after all, that she got the opportunity to be silly and herself without anyone getting in the way!
Well, she supposed she had more freedom now than she ever had before, but she was still very much a young mare. As a foal, her father barely let her leave his sight, and so her goofiness was limited, and her choice of play was naught - they generally played tagged, or hide and seek....but play keep-away with an angry bee? Never! Boone would have deemed it too dangerous. The very thought of her father caused Daisy Darling to laugh again, now having found herself lost in a train of thought. Her mother was an absentee mother, not really having a rhyme or reason as to why she was gone, but her father could be deemed as an run-of-the-mill 'overprotective' sort, and that led to Daisy Darling having a....less than interesting childhood. Now in adulthood, however young she may be, she was given the freedom to do whatever pleased her.
And oh, the things she did!
What caught her attention and snapped her out of her train of thought was the soft whinny coming behind her, and she snapped her head in the direction of the noise. Before her green eyes transfixed on the stallion before she, she let out a friendly, "hello!", which was quickly followed up by a grin. She stared at the stallion for a moment or two before deciding that he was indeed a very handsome (dare she think that? would her father hear her thoughts?) young stallion, and he was one to be greeted with the warmest of smiles.
Buzz buzz buzzzzzzz
Oh no! She sighed to herself, her eyes still focused on the stallion not too far off from the place she stood. She had forgotten about the bee! "Don't come any closer - lest you wanna get stung!" A laugh rang into the air just as quickly as the words escaped her throat, to indicate to the stallion that she was merely at play.techabyte Sorry - I'll be better at responding on time from now on.

Was she.. dancing? No... She wouldn't be doing that, would she? Goyathlay tilted her head from one way, and then to the other, his eyes growing more and more curious the way she moved. What was she doing? Why was she doing it? But she seemed to be smiling right? And since he'd already alerted her to his presence, he couldn't just leave now and go curl up under a tree to sleep the day away. No... that would be rude. And though he adored sleeping, Goyathlay was raised right and knew not to be rude. His father would scold him for even considering it. Flicking his tail behind him, the stallion watched as she continued to prance about and then quickly bolt from her spot, only to return. The hello she sent out made his ears stand up. At least she knew he was there, and she didn't seem startled by him. Which was good. He wasn't scary anyways. His ear flicked to the side slightly, causing some of his hair to shift in the process, before facing the mare again.
Goyathlay smiled back toward her, shaking his head slightly so his hair got out of his face. As much as he just loved it, it was annoying. When he did that, he got a good look at the mare. Her hair was long, like his mothers, but more tame. And were those wings? They were small and adorable, really. Probably weren't very good for flying, but when it came to appearances, Goyathlay thought them cute. Her eyes were bright like the grass, and the way she moved was like a dance. It made him smile slightly. The mention of being stung slightly alerted him though. Was there a scorpion or something about? Puffing up slightly, he moved cautiously forward; not in a timid way. Just careful of his surroundings. If she was in danger ( despite her laugh ) he was going to assist! It was the gentlemanly thing to do, yea? That's what his dad would say. "Do what a gentleman would." and all that. He flicked an ear back at the thought of his father before snorting. No time to dwell on life lessons! This mare needed help!
The stallion eventually made his way closer, and she was a sight; truly. But he had to concentrate on what was bothering her. His ears stood up at the noises, and after a second, he heard the small buzzzzz. Glancing around with dark eyes, Goyathlay searched for the insect. Eventually, he caught sight of the small bee and then turned his gaze back on the stranger. So she was playing with a bee? It obviously hadn't stung her, or it wouldn't be flying any more. Chuckling low in his throat, he shook out his mane again so he could see out of one eye, at the very least. "Is this bee bothering you, miss? I could take care of it, or escort you to a safer location. After all, being stung is no fun at all!" He stated matter-of-factly, but grinned to show he was also playing around.Summer Raven [ No problem! Lives are hectic and stuff, owo ]
