Sahar made his way across the pride lands as the moon began to peek over the horizon. He had his set routes that he took day in and day out. Consistency made it easier for him to manage day to day activities and to get places without assistance. As much as he enjoyed the company of others, knowing that he did not need others was a very freeing sensation. Plus, on a night such as this, when he had the desire to mull over thoughts and idea, he enjoyed being away from the main portion of the pride. So with careful precision, Sahar sightlessly found his way to a quiet area.

A gentle night breeze ruffled his mane just as he stopped to enjoy the pleasant quietness of night. The moon's glow caressed his pale hide softly as it waned it's way towards a half moon. It wasn't much light to see by, but that didn't bother the gentle male. In fact, since the pride had been forced to switch to a nocturnal living, Sahar had hardly felt the effects of the change. Yes, his sleeping schedule was in need of being change, but unlike many others, the lack of sunlight in his awake hours meant very little. The only thing he could say he missed was basking in the sun's rays, but he had not let their new leader ruin that for him. Many times, Sahar had stretched out outside of his den to soak up the warmth of the sun as he slept away. Tonight though, his thoughts were anything but warm.

Sahar had been troubled since the pride's take-over. It had been a vicious way for anyone to take over a pride. Why it had been thought necessary was beyond male, and truthfully, Sahar was beginning to feel like this whole thing may be leading the pride to split. Not physically, not yet anyway, but something was certainly going to happen.

A soft sound broke his reverie as a scent drifted to his senses. His body stiffened reflexively as he couldn't put a name to the scent. He had smelt it may a time before amongst many others, but had never met whomever it was. Tilting his head slightly in the direction of the noise, which had to have been paw steps, Sahar 'looked' toward his visitor. "I wasn't expecting to run into anyone out here. At least not yet."
