Awkward

Leslie stared upwards, craning his neck up at his weapon's golem, fist clenched, nails digging half moons into his palms.

"You never ******** said you were so ******** tall."

A laugh, trilled, and the duplicity of their voice echoes together in the briefest of moments. "You never asked, youngling."

There was no easy way to say, now, that what they had asked for-- pushed for-- in Russia was unacceptable. Because it was, and yet, he can't quite say it. In the inky depths of their eyes, Aleria smiles, quaintly, teeth parting just enough to show the second layer of teeth behind the first.

Aleria knew that he hungered, and Aleria knew that he wished he could have kept the power. Aleria knew that he sometimes wondered what would be different if he had won.

Mimsy

They had wanted to see the ones that had inquired on twitter about them. Thompson was off on a mission, although he was supposed to be back later in the day.

"This places gives me the heebie ******** jeebies. You owe me. Don't be ******** gross for a while."

Aleria simply hummed, dragging their long and spindly fingers along the wall, black eyes alight with not-quite joy, bit intrigue.

"It is familiar," they said, mostly to themselves, "but we have no memories of this place."

Leslie jogged to catch up again, furious that he had to. "******** slow down. I don't know where the ******** she is, there's a billion ******** labs--"

Ah, there she was. He'd recognise that crazy hair off twitter any place. "I don't want to talk to her," he said, flatly. "You go."

So they did, bony fingers rapping upon her door.

Jack

He knew Jack had the day off, because he'd checked the schedule the night before. So with a slam of a fist on his door, Leslie bitched:

"Open up. Someone wants to meet you, and I need to see this s**t, because they're in the Taller Than Jack Club, and that's ********' rare."

America

Opening the door with a curious expression, America saw Leslie first and then her gaze traveled up. And up. And up. "Oh my god." It was said with an incredulous but pleased giggle as the girl took in the difference in height.

Shu

Shu's eye locked on the blue giant, not able to make any response for a whole minute. Her neck stretched in to a state that the back of her head was touching her neck, it caused pains and sore.

"冰柱" The only word she babbled like enchanted.

Then, as if someone had snapped the finger, the girl blinked a few too many times and moved her head left and right for the rigidity felt. "Youngling? Robert does call me cub sometimes. I do eat enough foods? Though snacks mainly." A head tilt. "Who are you? Why are you so enormous? Where are you from? Your voice is funny, why?"

Like always, Aleria got asked questions.

Shu

The position and the way of petting seemed to give her the illusion of a face brightly grinning at her. Shu gazed at Aleria with shattered focus until she winced and squinted like a kitty in coldness. "We are? Aleria is a collective entity? Ohhhh the beautiful club that's a bit shimmering, you look less sparkling, but still beautiful." Shu's eyes rolled to the side when she heard the snorts and hisses in her mind, some for the compliments while some for touching his hunter without permission.

<You should get me a body as well, silly. Look, that grumpy seed can do it, that's no reason why you can't.>

Shu was good at filtering things she wanted to ignore out, for example, Z's complaint. "I'm definitely small compared to you." The girl made a ruler with her hand and arm, moving along an invisible track from the top of her head to whatever she could reach at maximum with tip-toe.

Shu looked at Leslie when Aleria mentioned of impudent, it seemed to be almot a natural action.
Sapling? "Ohhhh I know, I know! You're a plant species from a cold place, hmm - arctic?" Shu clapped her hands, jumped up and down lightly, yelled in excitement. "Ahhhh that's interesting, it's like a two-person chorus or when you switch on both left and right speaker."

The girl then acted like a robot suddenly runs out of battery, "pfffffff I forgot to introduce myself. I am Shu, intermediate hunter from Death division and this is Z, my weapon who's a big hammer." She put a hand on her chest and then picked up the totem. "How is it like to be in the golem? Can you eat or drink?" Her eyes sparkled in curiosity, for Shu, food sharing is an important process in making a new friend, but soon she will be disappointed.

In Shu's mind, the tsundere beast was thinking "I'm the only weapon you should be interested", but of course he didn't say that.

America

Aleria ducked their head, just enough for their horns to not drag against the frame. They were dressed in clothes fit for winter: fur, heavy brocade, and layers. Heels clicked along the wooden floor, and with open curiousity, they began touching any cracks or decorations they could find.

"I used it on twitter," Leslie muttered, flopping onto a couch, "once."

The golem smiled, with too many teeth. "Oh, youngling," they said, and laid a hand upon his head, "He has been quite so cranky, ever since our invigorating adventure."

Abbi

Not expecting anyone to come knocking at her door, mostly because no one ever did, Abbi answered the guests with a considerable amount of confusion. The emotion made her look like a curious puppy, but it morphed to a look of momentary joy to see her friend and then quickly veered to concern when she noticed someone was behind Leslie. Someone very tall.
They wanted to meet you.

Abbi blinked at Leslie, then up at the person behind him. Her mouth opened, surely the longest Abbi had been silent in Leslie's presence when she had not previously promised to do so, but closed again.
Finally she settled on a startled but cheery sounding, "Hi! I'm Abbi Killian, Moon, Intermediate!" accompanied by a jerky stick out of her hand at the golem for a shake.
