Seated on her throne in the Great Hall of Alu Spring, the now-rounder-than-usual queen of the naiad surrounded herself with bowls and goblets full of little treats for the guppies in the lake. She was eager to meet the new generation and excited to see how creative the little ones could be with their costumes.
As for her costume, it was simple really, she merely wore drapes of sheer clothes that billowed in the water. She is the 'lake spirit', after all.

For Tariel, you can roll 3 6-sided dice. She's being awfully generous to the lil guppies this year. Same rules apply. Any of the 3 dice = trick, otherwise the number is the number of candies.
Mentha was a little uncertain about the next place. It seemed a little too big to be a home. But the other kids were schooling into it and rushing up to a Naiad lady in billowy clothes. She sat in a chair. All alone. Surrounded by lots and lots of treats.
Shyly, Mentha - once again - waited for the other children to get their treats and swim off. He flicked his tail softly and approached with Ananas trailing his tail. Once in range, he blinked, looking up at the Queen, taking her in. Something about this Naiad lady made her special, but he had yet to learn much - much less that she was his Queen.
He blinked, then lifted the fish bowl he won Ananas in. He bubbled softly, blue eyes focused upon her with a hopeful plea.
Xoana, dressed as a pumpkin with orange fabric loosely draped over her body and a green stem-hat on her head, swam up to the beautiful blue grown-up. Papa said that some grown-ups would give them candy tonight if they asked nicely and said the magic words. "Trick or treat please!" she exclaimed, holding her bag made of netting out. "You're very pretty," she added. The pretty grown-up had lots of candy. Papa had said that she was important. Some word beginning with kw. Xoana didn't know, but the pretty grown-up was smiling and nice-looking.
Pippin had somehow missed this booth the first day, she was glad she had found it now though. As she unknowingly approached the queen, she tried to make sense of the costume. "You're dressed as a princess? So am I!" She said proudly as she twirled in her outfit. "Are you a ghost princess?"
Xoana came back around to the pretty grown-up lady. Papa repeated the word for her, it was kwin, or something. Papa said she was the most important Naiad there was. "Thank you for the candy," she said, holding out her net bag. "Trick or treat please?"
She was so pretty! Mommy said that this naiad was the most important in all the waters. The queen. She shyly approached. "Hi miss Queen...Trick or treat?"
Pax followed her sister, dressed with a similar pumpkin costume as her sister, but she insisted she was a goldfish. She wanted to be Bitey, but momma said she should go as a pumpkin like Moana. Pax's "accidently" lost her little green stem had, which she replaced with piece of random fabric to be her 'fin'.
Wiggling in her costume, and pulling her hand from her dad's she swam up to the Queen. "Ooooo" pretty lady! "Trickertreats" she practically spit out, holding out her little netting sack. She was just overly anxious for her first time to dress up and get snacks from the naiad in the palace.
Treats! TREATS! So exciting! She couldn't wait to eat all the treats she'd collect. And by the looks of her fist stop, this was going to be an amazing haul.
Dagen was not happy about everyone going to get candy and leaving her out. But it was in the water and she was a terrible swimmer. She tried to go deep into the water sometimes, when fishing, but she couldn't hold her breath long enough. She resolved herself to go snatch candy elsewhere, where the snooty fishpae weren't going to bother her.
This left Finn to go with his dad to the naiad palace. This in itself was so exciting. The light from the palace could be seen anywhere in the water and he liked shiny things.
He could not be held still long enough to even get a costume on. He'd slip out of his dad's hands and start swimming for the palace at break-neck speeds. It happened a few times before he finally was able to just go without his costume.
Oh. Wow. The shiny palace was even shinier up close. But, there was more important things to do today. Gather treats from strangers! He'd approach every Naiad he came across asking for a trick or a treat. Most shooed him away, but some directed him to the throne room.
Throne room.
Yes!
With some directions and guidance from his dad - he'd deny it if you asked - he found the treasure. All that candy in those bowls and buckets. Little dancing sea-candies formed in his eyes as he approached.
"I have that one?" he asked of the Queen, pointing to one particularly full bucket of treats.
