Moonlight shone down upon the lands, and all was quiet. A gentle breeze stroked the grass, a sea of dark emerald shimmering under the stars. It was the kind of cold eerie night that set the scene for ghost stories. The kind that made shivers run down your spine. The kind that made you paranoid that maybe, just maybe, someone might be watching you.
Whilst other creatures slept, wrapped up warm inside their homes, Uxia found herself travelling once more. She was a nocturnal creature, her glowing eyes best suited for the shade that night brought. A ghostly trail followed her as she walked slowly across the land. A phantom on the landscape.
Clop. Clop. Clop.
Grass crunched underneath her hooves. Her scattered, unstable mind fluctuating like a small storm inside her head. Thoughts entered and then like a flash vanished, leaving behind a rumbling - a whisper that never seemed to settle.
Clop. Clop. Clop.
........
CAW CAW!!!
A flock of black birds suddenly took into the air infront of her. Dark feathers cascaded in her path as the creatures vanished into the inky sky. Something, or someone, had spooked them. Uxia tilted her head, her eyes following the feathers as they danced in the wind, looking on with the kind of wonder that could be found sparkling in the eyes of younglings.
"OOOOoooo. Pretty."

Bright blue eyes scanned the area with careful judgment. Their owner was looking for something, but at the moment he had no idea what that something was. All Wendigo knew was that his blood and mind called for him to tear into something, no matter what that something was. His cave needed more pelts to warm him during the cold season. He needed more skulls and bones to amuse him and craft with. And more importantly he needed more organs to attract other things to kill.
With light and careful steps he winded his way through the trees. ‘Well what do we have here?’ the stallion thought to himself as his ears perked at the sight before him.
Something or someone was traveling in the distance, their bright glowing eyes looking like wisps dancing in the autumn breeze. Oh how Wendigo would love to pluck those eyes out and add them to his collection. Maybe eventually he could turn them into a nice necklace.
“Tch, I wonder if they would still glow after being plucked out. It would be sad if they didn’t…Oh well.”
Wendigo made his way forward with less careful steps, not really caring what he spooked. He had something that interested him, so the other creatures lurking around didn’t matter to him at the moment. He just hoped his target was as interesting as their eyes, and…well the colors and markings invading his sight seemed…different.
'Maybe a little too different. Then again I've seen worse, way worse. Poor things should have slapped their mothers.'

Against the darkness, there was movement, and soon enough the gothic mare found herself with company.
She hummed and cooed, tilting her head like an owl who had just spotted a mouse in the field. Uxia turned to face him, her tail flicking with subtle excitement. She could make out his eyes and the jewels that hung around his neck, but much of him blended so well into the inky night that she found it hard to make out his features, his species, or his intent.
"Hello my dear Sir, and what do we have here? Hmmm."
The mare's mouth was forced into a constant smile, but it was easy to see that the smile she bore was not forced at the present moment in time. Her voice oozed a friendly tone, but echoed with a tone that was more sinister.
"May I come closer? Oh shapeless shadow in the black of night."
She flicked her messy mane out of her glowing eyes, wanting to inspect the creature closer. Surely he was not a formless blob.

A grin played on Wendigo's lips as he watched the mare before him. For a monster she sure had the voice of an angel, but then again how else would a monster lure potential victims towards him. He would be lying if he denied that he was not tempted on some level, but he would not allow himself to be a victim, at least not without his own consent.
His claws tapped against the ground at her question. There would be nothing wrong with her approaching, but then again would there be any potential fun in it?
Eh, he supposed he could amuse her for a time in order to watch until boredom took over once more.
"Of course you can, but only if you humor me and tell what someone as lovely and monstrous as yourself is doing out here."
If he remembered right this was the time of year when the moon drenched itself in blood and called upon the twisted souls of the world. It was interesting and amusing, especially when he heard of such innocent parents giving birth to twisted children.
"Have you come to finding something to scare, or as you looking for something to scare?"

What was she doing out here? She had no idea. She was looking for something she supposed, though she was not quite sure what that thing was. It was something on the tip of her tongue, a blurred memory that was just out of reach, a formless shape that was always in the corner of her eye, just out of sight. She giggled at his flattery, an almost innocent, yet broken laugh that sounded like at any moment it could spiral into a cackle.
"You charmer."
She fluttered her eyelashes once more and than approached the stallion, tail flicking behind her. She showed no caution in approaching him, instead leaning forward she put her nose into his mane before breathing deeply, letting his sent fill her nostrils.
"You smell of death... How lovely." The mare mumbled to herself, her tone rather serious and dreamlike as she closed her eyes. He smelt of home, she could quite easily get lost in that sent. Opening her eyes again she stood back up, her glowing eyes close to his, staring dead on into pools of icy blue.
"I have come here, because in this moment, this is exactly where I am meant to be. If that means I bring fear to others, or if others bring fear to me. Well, that is yet to be seen.
Do I scare you shadow? Or am I the one who should fear you? Have my hooves finally lead me to the end?"Ririka I keep my promises God Damn it!!
