Amapola had set up a little booth outside the child care building where she worked. No children there tonight--everyone was out trick-or-treating! She'd wanted Elizabeth to come with her so they could wear sort of matching thematic costumes, but of course Lizzie was too busy with her new daughters. Then Amapola had suggested that Elizabeth take the girls trick-or-treating, but Lizzie insisted that they were too young for candy and that was the end of it. Come to think of it, Lizzie never had liked Halloween, for some reason...
Amapola had come dressed as a monster's bride! She'd teased her hair all the way up into a high hairdo, then put streaks of white in it with chalk. She was wearing a white dress with rips and tears all through it, and she'd made up her face to look gaunt and haunting.
Her booth was just a table with a little banner on it, but she hoped lots of children would find their way here!
Remy was a visitor to the city tonight, someplace he had never been, but when he found out there was something going on here, he had to be here too. Porter was following along, just close enough to be able to watch where Remy was, but letting his son be independent. The youthful boy was bounding down the city path, his tail wagging away as he spotted his first stop. "Hi!" He shouted enthusiastically as he approached the booth. "You look scary." He told the monster bride at the booth, although he didn't sound scared. "May I have some candy?" He and his dad had been working on the manners thing the whooooollllleeee way to the city.
"Of course you may," said Amapola, chuckling and dropping four candies into Remy's treat bag. Were those ears part of a costume, or...? Strange--Elizabeth's girls had a similar mutation. Amapola wondered what caused it as the boy ran off to the next booth.

After being assured by his mother that the lady wasn't actually a monster, Arc walked up to the woman. "M-may I have some c-candy? Please?" he asked, eyes wide.

Chini had seen how the children seemed to be taking over the city in creepy or cute looking outfits. She watched wide eyed with Pasha from the shadows as they walked up to houses and treats filled their baskets. The thought of rolling in treats was too much for her so she ran back into their makeshift shelter to find herself a costume. A basket on her head and a blanket wrapped around her neck was a costume right? Now she just needed a bucket... a plant pot would work right?
She hit the city proud of her costume. She had done it all on her own! That meant extra treats right? She was about to find out as she came to her first place and held out her bag to the tall haired lady. She hesitated for a second when she saw her face, but the thought of candy came back to her mind, "Treats!?" she squeaked, about to shake excitedly right outta her 'costume'!
She had successfully gotten candy at that last house! Feeling emboldened, the angel marched up to the little booth. It was by the business her mommy always sighed at! As she walked up to the red angel manning it, she blinked hard.
"A m-m-mons-s-ster!" But this was all pretend, right? She held up her little back, hiding slightly. "Um...C-can...I have s-some candy?"

Taku hadn't bothered with a costume other than the floaties on his arms. Actually, he never took those off, but would anyone really notice? It didn't help that he really didn't have anyone to make or buy him a costume, but that was besides the point. All he knew was that he had a sweet tooth that needed to be satisfied.
He stepped up to the Pae before him, eyeing all of the sweet delights they had waiting for him, but he had also seen some getting tricked. That wouldn't be so bad he supposed, as long as he got SOME sweets outta this. "Trick or treat!" he announces, awaiting what is to come...

Six stops. Twenty Candies!
Ignatious was giggling like crazy as he ran up to the next place. A wide grin showed brightly on the little demon's face as he shoved his bag in front of the other kid's bags there.
"TRICK OR TREAT!" he shouted out then came overpowered by some small degree of awe! "Whoa! Awesome dress! Did something attack you?!" he asked, then in a more awe-inspired whisper. "Did you die?"
Pasha had watched Chini run off and make herself some kind of..... well she didn't know what it was, and everyone else was doing it too. The little pink demon didn't want to be left behind! Darting into the shack the two girls called home, she tossed blankets and pillows everywhere, trying to find something to put on. She managed to find an old sack that had tons of holes in it, with one big one at the top that she could climb into. It was crooked and felt weird but it made a good body cover. Next she found a warped, frayed dark green basket, too large to carry and any small shinies would just fall right through so instead she put one arm through one handle and the other arm through he other, the basket snug against her back, almost like some kind of turtle shell. "I am monster!!!" she shouted triumphantly. Now she needed something to hold treats. Looking around, all she managed to find was a rectangle shaped plastic tub with a hole in one side. But it would have to do! Grabbing her fish plush, she stuffed him int he corner to cover the hole and ran off after Chini. Making her way up towards the lady dressed up like a monster, she held out her tub as best she could and copied her friend. "Tweats!!"
Astridr plopped on her bum for a minute, rubbing at her eyes. They were so dark and itchy! Sniffling, and now completely covered in coal, she started crawling to where her brother had been. This looked like a lady who would give her waaaay lots of yummy stuffs. Her brother had gotten lots of it too. Right?
"Baaa?" She cooed, looking up to the lady with hope in her eyes.

Fiammetta pouted as she walked with her sister and the male they had discovered was Cascade and Calum's father. He had been the one to watch over them as they walked from house to house. Why had she gotten tricked? Was it because they didn't know what she was? That must have been it! As she and Cascade walked up to the next house they saw the lady was dressed up. Fiammetta threw her arms up and yelled. "I'm a priestess! Trick or treat!"
Her sister wasn't running anymore. That was good. The Shetani smiled as they both walked up to the next booth, together. She wondered how their other two siblings were doing. Did they have more candy? "I'm a dragon rawr! Trick or treat!"
