Whenever she looked up at the sky, the gently rolling clouds above would sometimes part, allowing for short glimpses of the stars, as well as quick judgment of how late the night was getting. From her last estimate, along with her internal clock, it was probably close to midnight. It was a perfect time for the little omens of death to be out, and yet, there she was, still looking for the creature that wasn't supposed to be elusive. From what she'd been told, she should have already ran into swarms of them as they went about selecting mates and making little ones. They were also supposed to be noisy as all heck and the swamp was filled only by the sounds or normal nightlife.

Elleth scowled and flexed her bandaged hands, feeling her knuckles creak from the slight pressure. She'd wrapped her hands and arms as a precaution against the Draugur, having seen the sketch of them and the talons they had on their feet. She didn't want to get sliced up by those. Dragon claws were already bad enough and easily explained. The thinner scars the Draugur would leave behind wouldn't be. Self-harm was a big show of weakness and she was already known to be a bit messed up mentally. She liked being thought of as someone who was getting better.

Urgh she was getting mentally off topic. Elleth was seriously debating on going back to the city and re-reading the small taming guide she'd been given, to try and see if there was anything that she was missing. It was mating season for her chosen beast, and unless she was in the wrong place, well, she should have already ran into some by now. Pursing her lips Elleth chose a different path to follow, and started to head deeper into the swamp.
