Elleth honestly didn't know what she was doing, out in one of the more swamp-like areas of Soudul. She'd heard that now was the best time to tame one of the more darker creatures, and her few surviving friends had kept pushing at her to get a pet of some sort. Or to just do something other than bother them. Something other than training or dragon hunting. Yes they knew of her plans to go looking for a new place to live, she was an adult after all. She couldn't keep living with her parents (it made her look bad, well, worse than she already was).
And so she learned the basics of creature taming. Which was to say, very little. She knew in theory that you had to lure out a creature, and then try to overpower it somehow and then...train it? It didn't really make sense to her, but she'd seen the creatures that had be caught and bred and sold and, well, it looked interesting. Maybe it would even become the thing that would take her away from it all, and give her, well, her own two feet to stand upon.
Plus it certainly got her out of the house. Elleth was starting to think that she'd been going stir crazy inside, with nothing to do except be waited on hand and foot, train a little, and venture out to go kill dragons. Her friends had their own lives, one had even started a family. The rest in the process of spreading their wings and moving onto bigger and better things. Elleth wondered in Eliji would have done the same eventually, or if she'd been content at the Dojo and her place in it.
Thinking of her was starting to get easier, unlike this search for a blasted Draugur. Elleth scowled and kicked at a rotting tree. Mating swarms her arse! The swamp was as quiet as the desert was at night. Huffing she turned around and chose a different path to follow. Maybe she'd have better luck elsewhere.
