What is a 'Skill Point'?
___________________________________________________

A skill point is a addtion to either a Brawler's roll or HitPoint. Once a skill point is determined where the Brawler would like to put it towards, it must remain there.

For Example:

If a Brawler is awarded a Skill point, they can either put it permently to their 'roll' (Attack and Defense rolls) or they can use it to up their 'HitPoint'. Permently. So they would either get '+1' to each and any of their rolls, or their Hitpoints would +1 higher. This is a Permant thing, and is not allowed to be changed. It is something that will be allowed to be use in any Brawl once awarded.

How are Skill Point's earned:
___________________________________________________

There is a couple of ways Skill Points are Earned. One way is though Role Play 'Word Count' and completed Role Plays. The other way is thought a system of 'Brawl Points'.

Skill Points Awarded though Role Play: Creating Stories in world of B'alam is a big thing in this BC shop. I want this to be something that should be awarded and why not? A player that puts love and hard work in their character should be awarded, and have the advantage from another that just started and has yet to carve their life path. Which should also help encourage those to set their B'alam on their own amazing journey.

(Also, It vary well does not make sense for a nobody to pop in the Brawl, and take on a Magus and win because the dice said so...)

The Award systerm though Roleplay: 1 Skill Point will be awarded for every 3 completed roleplays. This means for every 3,000 words, a Skill point is gained.

REMEMBER:
As with the shop's rules, you however are not allowed to clump a rp (role play) word count with anothers. Meaning: one rp with 1,500 words and another rp with 1,500, do not make 3,000 words and a compleated roleplay. This makes still only 2 compleated roleplays. Which is why it is encourged to round of an rp to at least '1000' words, to take advange of the word count system.

Magus and Skill points: Since it take 10,000 words for a Balam to ascend to 'Magus' Status. Magus are automatically awarded '+4' to their advantage. They can chose to put these skill points in either, Rolls or HitPoints. (Their 'roleplay' word count will remain the same as everyone else.)

Example

If a Magus, like one of the Tribe leaders decides to get into Brawling. they get +4 automatcally, and will still gain a skill point for every 3 compleated rps they have. Futhermore, if a nomal magus that has been earned, though rp they will get the extra +1 skill point (Making a total +4 skill points) when they ascend to magus, but if the player chooses to not ascend to magus they will only have a the +3 skill points they haved earned though word count.

Make sense?
As a perk to being a higher being they are essentially getting a bonus for being a Magus. (That and it doesn't make sense for a random b/alam with no 'training' to beat a Magus in a Brawl.)

Skill Points earned through Brawl Points: These Skill points are awarded though experience in Brawl. A seasoned Brawler would have to get some experience from somewhere, Right?

For Every 12 Brawl Points, a Skill point is awarded.

What are Brawl Points: Brawl Points are awarded at the end of every Brawl that is quoted for the 'BalamReferee' to score. Thes Points are awarded, by fullfilling centain requrements in a over all Brawl. Each Brawler will be 'scored' seperatly

In every brawl their is a chance to earn a total of 4 Brawl Points.

These Points are:

xxx••• Brawl layout: This is awarded when the Brawler, vary clearly lays out if they are attacking, Defending, Participating in a CLASH. What Hit Points they currently have and What Hit points they lost.

xxx••• Brawl Creativity:
This is Awarded when a player actually puts effort in to their Brawler's actions. Meaning they actually take time to role play their action and responses out. (Note: This is also away to help the individual's over all shop word counts, Just be sure to get at least a completed rp in! (1,000 words.))

xxx••• Brawling point:
This point is awarded though just a over all good brawl. It's a 'you tried', point. Meaning, you went though the Brawl and tried to win. You either lost or won, you just Made the effort to make a Brawl out of it.

xxx••• Bawl Victor:
This point is awarded for the Winner of the Brawl. Simple enough, right?

Remember as stated in the 'How to Brawl' Topic [ HERE ], a Player that chooses to just roll in their post automatically declines any Brawl Points. Meaning: Hey! We want to see a Brawl peeps! Not just Numbers!

How to Use Skill Points in a Brawl:
___________________________________________________

To use Skill points in a brawl, and for them to count, they must clearly be stated in each round post. If they are not clearly stated in a post they do not count.

Meaning if it is forgotten in post:
Too bad, it doesn't count. Just like any game if it is not stated, it doesn't exist.

Using a layout like this might help:
Skill Points: +Roll: 1 , +Hitpoint: 1
Total roll: ( 5 + 1 = 6 )
Total Hit Points: 11/11

*The Referee doesn't care how it is stated, just that it is understandable and included*

IMPORTANT:
For any Skill points to be even used in a Brawl they must first be present and verified 'quoted' by the Referee in the 'There can only be one!' Topic listed [ HERE ].

Any Skill points added and not listed will not count, just like the word count. Doing this knowingly, will result in repercussions.
