It was getting late, but Liryn hadn't felt like heading back to the apartment with Arian, Orah and Liam. Instead he had drifted towards one the shops that he remembered from his pre-days back when he had just been a stray and before he had awakened to himself as a mauvian.
In the daytime the shop was a bakery, it's owner a lady who was friendly to cats, but opening hours were long over and the shop lay dark and empty - although if Liryn pushed his nose to the window just right he could almost picture the lovely pastries and things in the shop window.
Despite the fact that it was a quiet evening, he wasn't doing that though, instead he was by the steps leading up to the door of the bakery pawing through his 'stash' called from subspace. It wasn't much - just a couple of clock gears, a small stone that he'd thought pretty and one of Arian's hair bands.
His heart wasn't really into it though and he was contemplating putting it all back when he sensed the senshi aura, a super-level aura by the feel of it.
He looked up, his subspace stash forgotten as he tried to pick up on the direction of the aura, his purplish eyes curious.Sleet Tempest Snape Hope this works as a start Sleet - let me know if anything needs changing

He had gone out as he had been doing more and more often, especially after gaining some rather interesting memories...or flashes of the future? he wasn't sure what to call or consider them, where they even real and reliable? But he had taken it as a sign that he should be out more and doing more when he could, when he sensed that darkness of chaos.
Tonight he hadn't sensed any such auras but he was still out and moving across the roof tops on sneakers, he really did wonder how females did this sort of travel in heels. It was at some point that he dropped down to street level, landing in an alleyway, he stepped out onto the side walk. The roof he had been coming up to was a very odd and slanted roof and while he could make it and manage it he didn't care to tonight.
Out on the sidewalk he got the chance to glance about and take note of the shops around him, all closed for the night, and the apartment windows above some of the stores; most of the windows dark for the evening. He would head back soon, or rather he would be home soon as he was headed in that direction, but he sensed something also. it wasn't something he knew well but it was something that wasn't bad....but what was it? it didn't feel like a senshi or a knight. Tilting his head curious green eyes glanced about while he prodded at the inside of one of his lip piercings. The ball pushing outward as his tongue pressed to the backing.

There was no exact science for tracking auras - not even for a mauvian - and as a cat there was the added complication that he was only so fast on his legs which meant that if the senshi was passing through he was unlikely to catch up to the other. Liryn had never let something 'small' like that stop him and to be honest he didn't really want to be on his own (as evidenced by the way that he had been half-heartedly going through his little subspace stash).
He didn't particularly want to head in a homewards direction either, even though if nothing else Lola, Orah's kitten that she had brought with her when she and Arian had moved in together, would likely be at home.
And the aura felt close - not that far at all.
In fact that aura had turned out to be close enough to be classed as almost on top of him, Liryn coming to that realisation at the same time as he caught a sound coming from a nearby alleyway.
And then he spotted the senshi himself and realised he knew this senshi. Well okay not knew-knew in terms of name or anything, but he certainly recognised the other as one of the senshi who had been there when he, Athene and Ida had gone to answer an assistance, only to be led to a warehouse and a pile of dead Lieutenants - he was the one that had hit the orange-haired super senshi who had taken set on the Cosmos Squire that had been at the BlackWatch founding meeting and one that he'd been seriously contemplating nipping.
So he waited for the other to get closer before calling out "Good Evening," his voice friendly, despite the fact that it was not quite as cheerful as normal.

Surprised by what he saw, though it did answer to what he'd been sensing, he looked down at the cat for a moment before bending and finally coming to kneel on the sidewalk and hold out his arms in silent offering to pick the cat up. "Good evening as well." A smile accompanied the words as he watched the cat, he hadn't really noticed the feline the one time they'd crossed paths, his mind and attention focused so completely on what had been happening in that warehouse.
"Are you lost or just wandering by yourself? Because it's not really safe to do that." he spoke while he tilted his head a bit and nibbled on his bottom lip. From the pocket of his uniform, he'd taken to keeping his senshi phone in a pocket of his uniform, fell the phone. Scooping it up from the ground he pocketed it again.
"I don't think I've ever met you before. I'm Chaldene." He didn't give his sphere, didn't think to, even as he seemed to have taken to rambling a bit if the quick pace of his words was any indication.
"I think, well maybe, I don't know...I guess I might have a question, or maybe several, for you if you have the time." Thinking about those nightmares, memories, or whatever he'd been suffering from for a few nights now. Maybe this cat would have an answer, or some clue where he failed. "If you want to come for a walk with me." Where he'd walk and the cat would be carried.

"I guess you could say I'm out alone" Liryn said in answer to the dark-haired super senshi's question. He got to his feet and stretched for a moment before slipping his stash away before padding across the short distance separating them.
He was distracted by the sound of clattering as something dropped, his purplish eyes glancing towards the source of the noise in time to see the senshi scoop up a blue object. Phone his mind supplied helpfully, recognising the object for what it was as he watched the dark-haired senshi slip it away into a pocket, but then the other was introducing himself, so he held the thought for the moment.
"It's nice to meet you Chaldene, I'm Liryn" he said before admitting "And we have met - at least sort off. We didn't get the chance to exchange names though." Although that was down to the fact that the warehouse hadn't really been the place or the time for it. "And I wouldn't mind some company or being company." After all he didn't particularly want to be alone with his thoughts any longer.
"By the way do you mind if I have a look at your senshi phone at some point during our walk?" He had had only the briefest of glimpses and thus couldn't be certain, but Chaldene's phone had looked like the old phone rather than the sleeker upgrade that Ash had taught him on a night back in July when they had gone to the Moon for the BlackWatch founding meeting.

"It's a pleasure Liryn." He stated before blinking. They had met? He wasn't surprised he might have missed the other, he wasn't used to looking out for talking cats, and if it had been at some gathering or something he could have easily missed the other. "Well then, we can be company to each other for this evening." He stated with a bobbing of his head and a smile. "I'd rather some company than being alone if I'm being honest." He stated while scooping the cat up and holding him.
Petting the other he nodded and shifted the cat in his arms so he could pull his phone out and held it in front of the cat, he didn't figure it was more than a look which the cat wanted. "You mean this? I tend to keep it in a pocket, rather than subspace." Or whatever that place was where the phone, and his uniform, went when he wasn't powered up and when he unsummoned his phone. It was something which he was sure would drive scientists insane, trying to figure that subspace out.
"It's likely got a few dents and chips in it." Which didn't bother him in the least. He hadn't paid it any mind to notice if it did have damage from all the times he'd dropped it, both from heights and from inches off the ground.
"When did we meet Liryn? I can't remember seeing you - ever..sorry to say." He seemed sheepish in saying this, and he was.

Liryn hadn't expected Chaldene to immediately oblige his request to have a look at the phone, but he took the opportunity to take a closer look at the blue phone being held up for his perusal and it didn't take long to confirm that his quick glance from earlier was correct - it was the old phone - something that he was quick to share.
"That's the old-style phone" there was a purr in his voice as he spoke, a by-product of the stroking because although Liryn was definitely a scritches cat if ever there was one, he was also plenty fond of strokes. "There's been an upgrade to them" enthusiasm slipped into his voice as he continued. "Ash - she's another mauvian - came up with it." He thought about it and then amended it to "Well Ash and ********* worked it out" before adding. "The new phone's a smart phone, with apps and everything and so much sleeker."
For a moment he stopped, paused for breath and then added "And she showed me what to do when Athene and I were up on Destiny Tower for the BlackWatch set up stuff back in July so I can do them too." Purplish eyes glanced up at Chaldene. "Well that is if you wouldn't mind me upgrading your phone for you." After all despite Liryn thinking them fantastic and Ash amazing for coming up with it, he also knew that he couldn't automatically assume that the dark-haired super senshi would want it - after the purple-haired super senshi that had also been at the tower with them that night, Irene, had declined having the upgrade for her phone - politely declined - but still declined nonetheless.
And then Chaldene had asked where it was they had met and the enthusiasm had faded from his voice and been replaced with seriousness as he said quietly "It's okay, it wasn't really a place for making introductions" adding "And I saw you at a warehouse last month." He thought about it and then added "Well maybe slightly more than a month."
He stopped there, not elaborating further.

"Oh!" Surprise flashed across his green eyes. "So there is a new phone...I do hope it's not like most phones are, with how often a new phone comes out." If that was the case he was sure there were at least two new phones since his, or three maybe. Only a single upgrade? That was how he assumed it was and that was good. he wasn't behind by several models, which at first he thought might be the case.
"Ash...********* don't know either of them." Actually he only knew this cat, Liryn, and the one who had woken him. If he ever met ********* or Ash he'd have to thank them for the upgrade, and if he was able to get it, tell them how good it was. "You can upgrade this phone? That's great. I'd like that, it sounds like it might be helpful to have." It felt like it would be a very good idea and very helpful to him, if not now than in the future. A smart phone sounded good, it was more like what he had as a civilian anyway.
"N-no, please - the upgrade would be great." He said while wondering how this would be done, some other bit of magic he was sure.
Oh...that was where. "Ohh...yeah, that wasn't a place to be chatting and making introductions. K-kinda a bad thing to be doing there. I still can't get that out of my head. They might be the enemy, or at least the bad guys, but that was...extreme."

Extreme was certainly a good way to describe the scene at the warehouse that he, Ida and Athene had walked into give or take a month ago, as was sick and horrible. His cheerful voice turning serious as he said solemnly "People shouldn't be trying to be like the Negaverse." It was a general comment, his own take on the murderous duo.
He mentally shook away thoughts of the two at Chaldene's mention of wanting the upgrade, "Great!" A cheerful note slowly slipped back into his voice as he continued "I'll need your phone and a bit of space - but over there looks like it might work." Over there turning out to be a side alley somewhat up ahead from their current position "And Ash and ********* are both mauvians with silver-grey fur. Ash wears a purple visor over her eyes and is super smart about technology stuff and ********* wears a silver bell."Sleet Tempest Snape apologies for the delay Sleet

"I agree. I don't know much, I'm not that active in this war. But I do dislike violence, I'd even call it a strong dislike, which is why I don't like the Negaverse. But i we're going to be like them...what is the point?" And why should he join in on such violence? Somehow he knew there would be times when he'd need to fight, much as he hated the very idea o it, but he tried not to focus on it. Rare was the time he thought on it and when he did he assured himself he wouldn't be like the enemy - he couldn't be.
"Super smart about technology...I think I'd like to meet Ash." He said while walking toward the mentioned alley way and slipping down the alley, right to the back where it ended in a dead end. Kneeling he set his phone onto the ground. "I rather like technology myself...I'm good at it." And he found it calming and relaxing as well. It was a place to escape when his father was downstairs drinking. He didn't have to worry about such things any more but habits and comfort zones were hard to over come. "I was told once, a long while back, how to go to my homeworld. Would you mind...umm refreshing me on how it's done...I mean I guess I'm nervous I'll mess up whenever I try to..." Hesitant and stumbling over words as he watched the cat. (It's ok. ^_^ So long as things get done. Working on getting him eternal soon or a later...hopefully soon. )

"Ash is great" Liryn said cheerfully as he jumped down from Chaldene and padded over to the senshi phone that the other had placed on the ground before carefully picking it up in his mouth and padding a few paw pads over to where a street lamp pooled light on the ground.
Speaking clearly around a phone in the mouth was impossible, so whilst he acknowledged Chaldene's request for a refresher on home world travel by pausing briefly and nodding once in a quick up and down, he waited until he had set the phone down before answering. "Sure," adding "Although I can only really tell you how Athene does it and only with the new phone, although I guess the principle will be the same for all senshi" he thought it over some more. "Oh and the primer has a section on it" he remembered seeing the section whilst looking through it.
"I can run through it when I show you the phone apps though if that helps?" It was a question and offer both, although he knew that first he had to update said phone.
He concentrated for a moment before launching into a back flip, something clattering to land on the alleyway floor, the light from the street lamp revealing it to be a new phone.
Next he turned his attention to the senshi phone that Chaldene had handed over and worked on carefully prising off the back, before following up by prising open the new phone. It took a few moments, but eventually both phones were open.
Locating the part that Ash had shown him on the night of the Black Watch founding meeting came next and after carefully extracting it from Chaldene's soon to be old phone he put it into place in the new phone before snapping everything back together.
"And here you are - new phone" almost as an afterthought he vanished the remains of Chaldene's former phone into his pocket - mayhaps Ash might like to have some of the parts after he finished looking them over and taking bits out for himself.

Watching the cat pad off with his phone, a bit beaten up and obviously old, he moved toward the pool of light to watch, curious as ever with anything dealing with technology. He was certainly a child of this generation and as such he might as well have been born with a computer, ipod, and iphone attached to his body in some manner. He was one of those children who knew of the latest things, had it or would have it, and understood and knew how to work it all and could comb the web for anything and everything. This was just another thing to learn about as far as he was concerned and he planned to do just that. If he ever met Ash he would surely want to work on something with her, though what he was unsure. But he did know they needed to meet and talk.
"That would be good." Nodding his head with a smile. "I would love to have a run through on the apps as well as the home world help. I'm rather clueless and I don't like being so clueless about such technology." And about going to his home world, though the concept of a whole world being his was very odd feeling. he wasn't like some would surely be, as he was sure some would be all gleeful and prideful, it just felt foreign to him. Perhaps because he had not visited? Something told him he needed to go to understand and accept the idea, to see it with his own two eyes and see that it was real. But how much change would that bring about in him?
Watching how the new phone came into being he was...surprised and yet not. Wasn't that how he'd gained the first one? So nothing he could do himself - how disappointing. Picking up the phone he smiled and reached down to pet Liryn. "Thank you for the new phone." It would be helpful, and easier to use he was sure.

"You're welcome," it was nice to be useful and the new phones were really, really - at least to his way of thinking - great.
He waited for a few moments to see if Chaldene would switch the phone on before starting the promised run down of the functions.
"So the blue app with the person thing is the 'contacts' feature and you'll find any contacts from your old phone copied over - you won't have to re-add them. The green app with the speech bubble is the messaging function and grey-black app with the camera is the camera." Liryn didn't linger on any of the mentioned three as he might have done for a newly awakened senshi figuring that the functions for the apps were self-evident given that Chaldene was a super senshi.
"The orange app with the location signal is a GPS and can scan for power signals including Negaverse ones" he thought it over before adding "I think it has a range of around half a mile or so" before continuing "The blue app with the book is the senshi primer, which was created by a senshi called Kallichore and has information on quite a few topics written by Kallichore and other senshi." He thought about it some more and added "I think Ash may have written some stuff in it too" he'd only really skimmed-read it though and so wasn't sure.
"The red app is the Negaverse database and has information about some of the Negas, the purple app with the star is the one that Athene uses when going to his homeworld and the dark blue app with the crescent moon is the one that he uses when going to the Moon." he paused briefly before adding "And the final one - the grey one with the cog accesses the settings."
He stopped, waiting to see if Chaldene had any questions.Sleet Tempest Snape and here comes the feline info dump cat_wink

He did indeed turn the phone on and waiting for it to power up he glanced between it and the cat. He'd figure out how to customize it's appearance later, right now it was time for a much needed lesson. With the info on the first three icons, fairly obvious, given to him he bobbed his head to the cats words. Ok, those were easy to remember and made sense. Could he add apps though? He doubted it.
"Oh! Now that's neat." A power signal locator...that was neat! He liked the idea and it would be very helpful. "I like that idea. Ohh...so an information dump for people to go through. Ok, not bad. Does it have like files for organization reasons? So it's easy to find what you're looking for information on?" He questioned while prodding at the phones screen and clicking on the app, to check it himself even after asking about it.
"Ohhh, good a Negaverse database is good. That's something we could all use. It'll help new people and those who want to know which officers to best avoid." Oh, that would be very helpful for everyone. The moon one and the homeworld one had his attention then and clicking out of the primer he looked over the two last ones mentioned. "So I just press it and go to the place or what else is there? I think I heard that there is a feelings to it?"

Liryn thought over Chaldene's question "No" he said after a few moments. "The primer's organised into sections - kind of a bit like an" he thought about the best word before settling on encylopedia. "Like an encyclopedia I guess - so there's a section with some information on Senshi, another with some information about the Negaverse, one about space travel etcetera - there aren't any files though" well at least he didn't recall seeing any.
He nodded at Chaldene's mention of the Negaverse database "The database is useful," he agreed before admitting "But it could probably do with a bit of updating" because there were names that he'd come across that weren't on there.
Mayhaps it was something to ask Ash about - after all she knew a lot about technical stuff and since the database was on the phones that made it kind of technical in a way - at least it did by his book.
He shifted from his internal musings to focusing back on Chaldene at his question about using the phone for space travel "Well all I can go on is what Athene does" he admitted "Because I can't travel to space myself but on the occasions when he goes to Athene he always seems to super concentrate after activating the app" he thought over it some more as he contrasted it to the one and only time that he'd gone to the moon and then added "Travelling to the moon seems easier, but it can only be done when the moon is full."
He continued "If you decide to go to either and ever want company then I'm always happy to tag along." It was a blatant hint. Liryn loved exploring new places and was particularly fond of going to space - even if to date going to space consisted pretty much of going to the moon (once) and cajoling Athene to take him to Athene.
It was of great sadness that he couldn't just up and visit space whenever he wanted.
