The event was over, and some of the candidates had begun dispersing from the Bowl. Kylerr was anxious to get on his way, the list of things he could have been doing instead weighing on his mind.
He sighed, caught his composure, and quickly turned on his heel.
"Oh!" He flinched. He almost ran into the poor girl! "I'm sorry, I didn't see you standing there," he said with a smile, tucking a long lock of hair behind his ear.. "I guess neither of us had much to say today."

She had been doing a mighty fine job at hiding amongst the other candidates, not drawing any attention to herself. Avalinia had listened carefully, nodding to herself here and there. It still sounding frightening! But... there was an excitement there too. And that was what kept the smile returning to her face.
But the question and answer session seemed to be drawing to a close, and other candidates were beginning to disappear. Some, of course, still badgered the riders with their questions.
Avalinia, however, was done. Before she could turn and flee herself, though, the boy in front of her quickly turned around and just about ran into her. She squeaked, taking a stumbling step back and staring wide eyed at the boy. "I-I'm sorry." She said in a tiny voice. A hint of a smile appearing as she nodded slowly in agreement. "Yes. I... am not fond of crowds." Or lots of attention for that matter.
