Well now, this link is clearly my character page yet I feel a like sharing a little intro of sorts.. So some basic information will do, no? My main characters will be the Mother/Daughter pair but I may add more depending on my mood or any requests that may come my way. The best way to ensure I respond is to quote me, and of course any questions can be asked via Pm should there be the need. I'm Dalia, and I look forward to Guilding with everyone.
Nickname: Shrink, Quack, the Kids flatter her with many interesting names.
Age: 33
Birthday: January 4th
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Flaws/Disabilities: Though one would never guess it, Raven actually has a disorder known as Sickle Cell Anemia. Most, including her daughter, are unaware of this simply because she prefers to keep it to herself.. It does however limit her physical abilities since she fatigues a little faster than others her age.
Secrets: Aside from the sickness? Raven has a unnatural love for sweets that can be used to bribe her if discovered.
Teacher/Student: Guidance Counselor
Powers: The patience, grace, and understanding any Mother can boast about along with a natural knack for reading body language.. Most of her talents are entirely human, the only exception being Raven's almost supernatural ability to just 'get' people.
Likes: Kids, sweets, harmless pranks and mischief, and of course taking care of others. She loves life and living, shouldering the good with the bad readily. Raven enjoys her 'movie nights' with Robin, in which they dress up and go out. ( the picture to the left is a example of one such night, when her daughter was young. )
Dislikes: Child cruelty in any form, though to say she 'dislikes' it would be a very mild description. Raven outright disdains anyone who could intentionally harm children, it is one of the few things that can shake her typically light-hearted manner. Oddly enough she almost dislikes paperwork just as much..
Fears: Robin becoming aware of her illness. Of course being a Mother she learned to curb any real hints of her pain for the sake of her child, but if Robin ( or anyone in general, as it were ) isn't around to see it.. her composure slips a little.
Personality: Playful, warm, and typically quite witty. She's a clever woman who is as stubborn as she is kind, ever ready to go the extra mile to help where it is needed if her aid is wanted.. or not. Raven has a habit of acting motherly towards any she feels need it and often this protective behavior gets her into a bit of trouble.. Despite this gentle nature it is very wise to remember that she is skilled with the concept of 'tough love' should the need arise. Raven doesn't baby those in her care, if anything she makes it a point to be honest even if that honesty is a bit harsh.. because a bitter truth is always better than a sweet lie.
Perhaps at odds with her giving nature, she actually dislikes for others to try and take care of her. Raven never coddles herself, she's never had the luxury or even the desire to wallow in such petty things as self pity or depression. Likewise, she rarely allows such behavior in others if it seems harmful to their being. This personality of hers, though naturally filled with flaws and contradictions, is actually what makes her so damn good at her job of counseling.. She understands 'imperfections' only too well and regardless of what she hears, Raven will accept it without judgment.
Bio:
Raven's early life was that of a wild teen, a orphan in the system convinced nothing mattered more than the next party.. It was a very self destructive path she walked with many questionable 'friends' teaching her bad habits. Certainly, Ms. Crestlyn has no claim to saint hood.. Yet, at the young age of 16, something happened that changed everything. Raven discovered she was pregnant.. that a life, so delicate and precious, relied on her in a way she'd never expected. Oh yes, it was quite terrifying at the same time.. crushing even, when the father denied any desire to help. But she never considered aborting for even a second. Instead she embraced that frightening warmth that filled her, ditching the party scene in favor of work and eventually enrolling herself into a good school when she came of a decent age. She'd always known something was wrong with her, yet during her pregnancy just 'what' was wrong came to light.. along with how to hide it. After all it is a Mother's place to protect their child, even from silly things like worry or sadness.
Later, when Robin was only 4, her father magically reappeared.. violently. The details are sketchy at best, she never talks about it and blessedly Robin was far too young to remember.. The man was taken into custody shortly after his arrival and Raven spirited her child away as quickly as she could. They moved around a bit, always on a new adventure, until a rather interesting job offer came her way.. and Raven relocated to this school. It has been such a short time, yet her daughter has grown beautifully.. Much of it, she knows, is due to the support of her fellow faculty members and the kindness they have shown them these last few years.

Name: Robin Crestlyn Nickname: Birdie Age: 17 Birthday: October 23rd Species: Human Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual Flaws/Disabilities: To be honest her temper is a little short in some areas and while they say being passionate is a good thing.. This nature of hers often gets her into trouble. If she is offered a challenge in some way the girl simply can't help herself from throwing her full force into the fray. This includes arguments, dares, projects, and even snap decisions she makes on her own such as helping someone or fixing something.. Once she gets going it is very difficult to derail the stubborn girl.
Secrets: Birdie often has nightmares, strange and haunting images of a familiar man's face.. But for some reason she's never wanted to ask her mother about it.
Teacher/Student: Student Powers:Her Voice( disclaimer, only in the rp), an amazing sense of balance, and a rather high I.Q.
Likes: Fruit, getting things done, good music, and people in general. She is very fond of singing.
Dislikes: Anything that upsets her Mother, pointlessly mean behavior, and anything to do with sweets.. Seriously, she's borderline Candy-Phobic from all the strange sweets her mother has given her over the years.
Fears: Aside from a childish degree of distaste for Sweets... Really, due to her Mother's influence, she doesn't seem to register 'fear' very well or even stop to consider if something scares her or not. Her 'Fight or Flight' instinct always lands smack on the 'Fight' impulse.. there is rarely time for fear.
Personality: Headstrong, friendly, kind in a firm way if not always gentle in her behavior, and very much the type to swing to her own beat. She could care less what people think of her, doing what she likes when she feels it is alright to do so.. Serious at the oddest of times and entirely too laid back at others it is often difficult for other people to keep up with her reasoning or impulses. Despite her self-confident mindset the girl actually has a pretty sharp gaze, able to read a great deal about a person from their body language and the way they speak.. a habit she picked up from her mother that often comes in handy when dealing with friends. Loyalty is a big deal in Birdie's mind, bonds holding far more weight in her mind than 'authority' or 'power'.. Mess with one of her friends and she'll go all out to help them, regardless of what happens to herself. Not to say she won't punch her friend after for dragging her into a mess, of course, but still.. She is certainly one human that shouldn't be underestimated.
Bio: For as long as she can remember it has just been her and her Mother, moving from place to place when she was little until finally they came to settle here.. Certainly this is her favorite, after arriving her Mother seemed to relax and those she worked with welcomed them most kindly. Over the last few years Birdie has become very attached to this school and its staff, secretly considering it something of a family.. though she'd never voice such childish thoughts aloud. It is.. well.. Home, somewhere she's always felt safe.
Growing up her Mother has encouraged her singing, and the many other small hobbies the girl has picked up along the way.. but in reality Birdie has a very clear goal in mind for her future and despite the good-humored warnings from her friends and family she hasn't faltered in her plans in the least. Birdie.. wants to build a Mafia Group from the ground up, and perhaps what makes that laughable dream so worrisome for her mother.. is the fact that this kid is just stubborn and charismatic enough to give it a real shot. Why, some may ask, would she declare such a ridiculous thing so clearly and readily.. why would she want to create this sort of a syndicate when such groups have obviously bad reputations?
The answer is just as insanely simple as the quest itself.. The system now doesn't work and no one will ever listen to just one kid. So she plans on gathering other kids like herself and taking care of things as they see fit.. not the idiots running the show now.
