In a world where vampires co-exist with humans, people were at first worried that things would take a turn for the worse. When nothing bad happened, the fear died down into nothingness. Vampires may have preyed on humans, but only the emotions in the blood, and no vampire killed humans. Peace was felt across the continents and equality was found where war had waged for years.

Then, the darkness came; a zombie plague that no one could explain. The vampires tried to fight them off, only to become infected and spread it. Humans knew they were doomed, but by the time they discovered the reason it was too late. It was sunlight that had turned the vampires into zombies. The UV rays kill the DNA in vampires and reduce them to creatures that prey on flesh with animalistic tendencies. They are fast and maintain most of their abilities, including their speed and strength, so they are formidable enemies.

Can you help a group of fighters to discover a cure to stop the vampires from becoming zombies and cure the world to restore the peace everyone had been fighting for?!

❶ Please message profiles to me, VSG12, with the title of "Vampires VERSUS Zombies". Be sure to include a emotion_puke (puke) icon as well, so I am sure you have read through the rules.

❷ There is no limit to the amount of characters you can take, but please, only take as many as you can handle. If you take 20 characters and only use 6, I will delete the unused characters. Unless there is a reason for a character to be out of action, please only make as many characters as needed.

❸ Considering that this is a horror-based role-play, there will be amounts of violence and gore. If you are aware people are a bit squeamish, it is best to keep the violence to a minimum. In this case, there will be times your character will be attacked (auto-hit), but unless there is a reason for it vital to the plot, your character won't die. For a character to die, it must be a mutual decision between the makers of the characters in play.

❹ Please be literate in this Role Play! I don't expect huge paragraphs or anything of that matter, but don't use one-liners. Also, be sure to use the correct spelling, grammar, and other such things.

❺ Try and make your posts as pretty as you can! You can either use a creative border or a picture of your character(s) in each post. Using colors is accepted, but try not to use the same colors as other characters.

Trinian may be seen as innocent, and she certainly was before this apocalypse started, but she isn't anymore. Her hands are tainted in spilt blood of zombies. She used be dating a Vampire named Harvey Winnebaker, but he turned through sunlight exposure. She shot him dead in self defence, knowing it was the only way to kill him. She thought only silver bullets would work, or any Vampirian folklore surrounding that, but in fact anything will hurt them. She guessed it was due to the DNA shift in them, so they can be killed like normal zombies. She wears the cross necklace that Harvey used to wear in memory of him. She also has snake-bits and multiple ear piercings to go with her many tattoos.

"These things aren't zombies you know, at least not the ones you find in the old zombie movies. They aren't humans bent on devouring flesh and taking the world over in a plague-like epidemic. Oh no. These are vampires...vampires that have been exposed to sunlight. I know what you're thinking, “Don't vampires burst into flames when they get in contact with the sun?” Well no, they don't. What happens is that vampires will start to get severe skin rashes and their skin will peel away- like a sunburn. That's what happens in the first few minutes of exposure.

But, within an hour, the rash and peeling will die down to just an irritating burning of the skin. Most vampires think they'll be fine after this period of time, but that isn't the case. Not even clothing like mine, all this bike gear, would save a vampire at this point. Within a period of 2-3 hours, the side effects will take a nasty turn towards the worst. The vampire will start to lose their Vampiric abilities and will start to become more human. While most think this isn't something serious, they are foolish to think so because this is only the start of the nightmare.

After 6-8 hours the vampire will start to get a thirst, a blood-lust, but no matter how much they feed they will not satisfy this quench. No blood will, not even another vampires. After 12 hours the effects of this 'transformation' will start to solidify into these things you see before you. They lose all superior intellect and fall towards the primal animal rage within them. These things are just vampires who have gotten their brains and DNA fried by the sun which turned them into zombie-like creatures who only wish to feed on the blood of any victim they can find. And it doesn't matter who they bite, vampire or human, because anyone will turn if bitten.

But, you know, if this mutation is caused by the sun effecting the DNA of Vampires, you can begin to understand that this may be something that can be fixed if a cure can be found...."
