Has anyone else noticed that in the movie Goblet of Fire when the Durmstrang dude blows fire by Dumbledore (At the Beaxbatons and Durmstrang welcoming feast) If you look at the fire, it looks like a Phoenix? Hmm...Well I suspected, by the look of mingled surprise on Dumbledore's face, that it was, indeed, a Phoenix.

Oh my gosh! I noticed it too! The fire swims around and then for only like, two seconds it's a bird a.k.a. phoenix. Could be foreshadowing... I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this!

Eh, I didn't quite catch that. It happened too fast and I'm too poor to get the DVD. . . crying But on a different scale. . . In CoS DVD, did anyone see the last scene when the Great Hall as the camera was zooming out, the picture on the window??

Almost like subliminal messages in Disney. . . rolleyes

That may be true, but it's fun none-the-less to find things that are in hiding. I never said that this affected the books at all. neutral Especially since JKR herself did not direct the movies.

No JKR dosnt direct the movies herself but she has said herself the writers and icrectors have leaned twords thinngs she wasnt ready for. little things like "person a" stands a bit closer to "person b" and they arnt suposed ot do that for a few more books. The HalfBlood Prince was out when the movie was in production/post prduction so it is possibl that the visual effects people tweaked the fire to look like a phoenix because of the end of HBP
