Kickstarter Tiers: We try to set tiers to what we believe is obtainable by users and how much gold we would like to actually sink for a particular event and how big the event leading up to it will be. I know I'm jumping the gun on this a bit since one of them looks familiar to me. Edit: I also want to say thanks for making a new version of Ask the Admin. It was well needed. Let's just say some old favorites will be making a come back. ninja Zero Omega Attack on Heichou How often are we going to have gold sinks/events? As often as possible! Zero Omega dragonmonkey The war in the kickstarter sounds like it's at the focal point of the Halloween plot. Why was it set at a far-stretched tier? It's a huge thing that we want to add and we believe that Gaians will be about to hit it! Zero Omega Strife Dragneel 01) About this Halloween kickstarter we have right now:Do you already have a lot of stuff planned for the Halloween event, and all of this stuff in the global tiers just extra prizes/games/achievements that are unnecessary to add? Or, Because we can't seem to make it to third tier, even after almost 2 weeks, are we going to miss out on a lot of the content that was planned for the event, but now we are not going to get because we can't donate enough? 02) Also, in regards to kickstarters in general:Do you think it maybe possible to stop having them for major gaia events like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, ect. please? Some of us have gotten into the habit of hoarding our gold for the events themselves since they have become a bit of a gold sinks in their own right. Minor events like saving Louie and H.R. Wesley are okay. Or, at least, give us a chance to recover gold in between kickstarters, please? We have the event planned out with extra things users can unlock by hitting the global tiers. We believe that users will be able to hit all the tiers, even the gold sinks that had slow starts eventually got hit. We probably won't stop doing these gold sink events for major events as it allows us to provide you guys awesome things for events while helping us sink gold in the economy. Zero Omega dragonmonkey There was a kickstarter where the 150bil personal tier mentioned winning a chance at being drawn in the Manga. I'm wondering if the winner(s) have been chosen and for what Manga (current/future)? ^Personal question. Thanks for your consideration. We do have winners, it will be for the current manga. However, the time of when they will be featured hasn't been decided yet. Zero Omega Yuekazehime Are there new and varied gold sinks in the works? Kickstarter-only seems to burn people out, so a little switch up would be nice. Definitely, our two main consistent gold sinks right now are these gold sink events and Flynn's Plunder. But I know we'll have more in the future.

We'll see what we can do! We do like to leave some of our goals as a surprise for other users. Princess Angelishia The Muse of Life Events Have you considered maybe doing one big kickstarter with multiple smaller tiers as well as the higher tiers a month rather then two? Gaian's tend to get burnt out on Kickstarters very easily. I feel one a month with many tiers in a better variety of prices that last over half to all of the month would make them much more effective overall. People who would love to donate but can't would then have plenty of time to get gold. We'll consider it! c:

Zero Omega Nenanah Shops/EventsDeals with kickstarters and gold shops so I wasn't sure what to label the question as... Anyway, when can we start doing more kickstarters to raise the gold shop prices? We still have plenty of shops to go through and it's been a couple of months since we raised Edmund's shop... It's not really fair to only raise one gold shop then forget about the rest. Besides we need the gold sinks desperately. Question is originally by ( Nenanah ) I am using Nenanah's Ask the Staff Question Posting Service. We'll have them in 2015, it will be a slow and gradual change that occurs over time instead of all at once.

I believe there is an announcement lined up to announce the winner. [ In fact, that announcement has already gone live by now! -Platonix] bluealaris Sky_Jean Question Category Events Question: With the large number of events and gold dump "kickstarters" in the past year, I feel that the community grants (esp the early ones) may have fallen by the side of the road. I remember the first set having a community goal that people would get an "extra heart charm" for everyone hitting that mark. I have not been able to attend the ATAs and this has bothered me somewhat with some of the community goals not actually being seen or announced. I will check over what is still left to be fulfilled and try and expedite it, I agree that these should be finished asap.

Perhaps when you close down more shops to redo the prices, close all of them at once and do an event for deleting unwanted cheap items. The event page could have a place to 'buy' junk to throw for gold, so it'd still be a gold sink and would have a way to be played by people who aren't packrats like me. Also, with a lot of junk being tossed, maybe it would raise the value of some of it, too, which helps the newbies. That is something we can consider, thanks! heart

However, we never got it, despite reaching the tier. Will we ever get it, or has it been forgotten about? Hasn't been forgotten about! We just haven't found the right item for this!

February 9th, 2015: Zero Omega Castiel Lover EventsAny word on that ITEM kickstarter I suggested? We need to purge a lot of cheap junk from our inventories and from the general population. And it'd be a great time to close all the gold shops and update their prices for the duration of it. No updates yet but keep an eye out!

It might be cutting it too close for LabTech Week by now, but I'm sure there's other Events that would love the boost! Definitely, if users are interested in this they should reach out to any of us and we can help get them set up. bluealaris The Iron Magus Items/EventsHi, Staff. Many Gaians are upset with the way the Gates of Olympus problem was handled. As you know, those who actually put gold toward the kickstarter in order to unlock the gates were kept from opening their bundles for up to two days after the gate's release, while people who donated nothing were able to buy the bundles from Loyal's and open them right away. By the time the donators could open their gates, the market was flooded and the items totally devalued--which left the biggest donators in the lurch, since they were the ones stuck with surplus bundles which were, at that point, practically worthless. What do you plan to do in the future to avoid a repeat of this type of situation? Hi Magus, the Gates of Olympus presented us with a unique problem- more accurately there were so many of them rewarded through the Kickstarter that the magnitude of them being opened was too much for our servers to handle them. Next time we will avoid giving out so many in the future, that way unsealing all of them won't cause any interruptions to regular service on Gaia Online. I asked this a loooong time ago, but never received an answer. Both me and other Gaians really appreciate the Kpop-themed items (i.e. Miss Miss & Run and Gun). Therefore, would it be possible to have a Kpop themed event? I am not sure how this event would work logistically, but I feel like Kpop (or even Jpop) related achievements would be really enjoyable.
Ideas as to how the event could happen:
An idol-themed kickstarter (or forum event) in which NPCs are put into pop groups. Users would vote for which NPCs should be placed in the group/which group that they chose to support and achievements could be granted in response to voting or donating to a particular group. Achievements could be either common Korean/Kpop terms (i.e. unnie, oppa, daebak, hyung, etc.) or actual fandom names (like SONE, Blackjack, EXO-L, ect.) with Gaia twists.
I know that it might be a difficult thing to make happen, but I appreciate having my idea considered! emotion_bigheart Its an interesting idea, thank you for the suggestion! As an aesthetic it would be hilarious to see on some of our NPCs. bluealaris Captain Cockblock EventsIs there any way you guys could put together another Sealed Gate type event soon?
