Melanie was a good student, though Bethany Wyatt would have never called her a friend. In fact, Melanie may have made good grades and had a scholarship on the way for when she graduated from St. Mag's, her character was that of a pampered housecat, despite her upbringing. She was a snooty person and thought little of others, and there were times where Bethany swore that she forgot the uniform she wore each and every day in the school year. She was a self-proclaimed Crystal Academy student, trapped in a St. Mag's uniform, and with that kind of attitude, it was clear that she had made herself a few enemies.
Enemies on the school yard, Bethany couldn't do much about. No, she didn't like Melanie much, and there were times when Melanie used her as a shining example of what kind of person people should thrive NOT to be, but that didn't mean that Bethany wanted anything horrible to happen to her. She would never outright defend her when someone talked trash about Melanie, but she would never partake in the activity. She would simply sit there, and keep reading her book, thinking to herself that sometimes, it was better to go unnoticed in the world and to be completely ignored than it was to be hated like Melanie was.
However, as Super Sailor Canopus, she was more inclined to be proactive in Melanie's protection. As usual, Melanie had managed to piss off every single one of her friends and had stormed off, venturing around Destiny City's business district on her own and rewarding herself with a shopping spree to quell her hurt feelings. Canopus followed her, sticking to the shadows and trying her best to stay out of sight of not only Melanie but others that might have been roaming the streets. She didn't like Melanie all that much, but she would have never have forgiven herself if she was taken advantage of by a Negaverse officer or anyone that thought to do harm to her.
Tonight, she may not have been Melanie's friend, but she'd at least be her protector...

Buyan was settled on a rooftop not too far from the business distract as she hummed. She was working on a small paper writing out this or that. The page was wholly content to do nothing more than that.
However, soon enough an aura caught her attention. Finally being bothered to peek down below and search to see where the chaotic aura was her brows furrowed and her lips pursed into a thin line as she watched a dark mirror senshi stalk a young woman. The girl looked young enough to be in high school and heaven forbid that Buyan didn't do anything about this.
She gathered up her stuff, and pulled the small white bag onto her shoulder and hopped down from the building using the fire escape to her advantage. "Stop right there." She said finally when she managed to land on the ground looking up at the girl from her crouched position.
"I don't know what you think you're doing following that Civilian but you better pick on someone your own caliber." From what Buyan knew most Dark Mirrors had or were or something. . . with an alliance or something . . . to the Negaverse. So in Buyan's eyes she needed to also protect the poor Civilians from this threat too.

Canopus had sensed there was a knight nearby, but she thought little of it. From her experience, knights, though aligned with her 'enemy', were often kind and peaceful, and though she was told her own court had no use for them, she held no qualms against them. It could have been blamed on Nysa, as he was her first encounter with a knight and thus painted such a pretty image of them. Canopus had sensed one nearby, but not once did she consider the danger in that. A knight wouldn't hurt Melanie...
But apparently, this knight had assumed she was, as the sudden shout and arrival of the knight caused Canopus to simply lose her nerve. She let out a panicked yelp, and days without sleep had made her quick to react. On a normal day, she would have never imagined being the first to strike out, but there was nothing to she could to stop herself. The moment the knight shouted her her, she lashed out, swinging her arm for a punch and closing her eyes, hoping that she hit her, or something, with her blind swing.
"Ah, go away!"

Buyan squeaked when the other tried to throw a punch she wasn't really successful in dodging it but the other seemed to be doing a bad job when she got smacked in the arm. The Knight was standing there staring at the Dark Mirror senshi eyes narrowed.
"That was a poor strike." She said observantly. Buyan crossed her arms as she stood there. "Why are you following that civilian if you can't fight any better than that?"ChibiGingi AHAHAHA OMG ANOTHER SUPER OLD WTF DUDE SORRY GINGI! crying

In all honesty she was surprised to have felt her blow connect with anything, so much so that she was certain that her own strike had hurt herself more than it did the knight that startled her. She let out a pained gasp and jumped back to try to put some distance between them, only for her foot to slip from beneath her and send her falling onto her butt. In a single move, she had defeated herself, and yet, she felt relieved to know that at least Melanie would be safe with this knight around.
And... such a beautiful knight, too! Whatever fear she held from being startled by the knight was gone when she looked at that dress, that top, and those leggings. Oh, those leggings! She found herself envious...
"It... was, I'm sorry, I just... you startled me. I didn't hit you too hard, did I?" She was pushing herself to her feet and moving towards the knight, slowing down when she realized how awkward or threatening it might have been, and when the knight accused her of stalking her classmate, she couldn't help but feel indignant. "I'm... not going to hurt her. I was protecting her. Making sure she got home safe... are you a Neptune knight?"

Buyan couldn't help but look confused and curious both at the Dark Mirror senshi when she ended up defeating herself, catching herself in her movements to go help her up. It was sort of an instinct to go help her up brush her off. As if she was her own student.
However, that wasn't Buyan's life anymore. She just continued to look confused. "No." She answered in a more light tone. When the other said she was trying to make sure her friend got home safe Buyan sighed and moved to grab the woman's arm following the other. "Yes I am a Neptune knight, Buyan. Page. Who are you?"
If they were going to follow the classmate, she might as well make sure this one was serious. "So does you friend realize how unsafe this is? Walking at night alone? I mean seriously."
