It felt like his duty, as Fangite's General, to make sure that his boyfriend was more prepared for combat.
That, and the image of him dying was repeating on a reel, in his head, over and over and over, and even if he sort of knew no combat skill in the world would have saved him and that Des was better at that than him anyway, it made him feel like he was doing something.
So he'd dragged Fangite out to a park, with the intention of sparring.
"Ready to do this?" He asked.

"No." Fangite answered flatly. "No I'm not." It was the truth. "We've tried this once before remember?" Only that time they were up on a roof. With out the reminder of things that had yet come to pass. He may have not been ready to do this, but he had too. "You need to stop pissing people off." The Lieutenant grumbled under his breathe. "And no offense, but why couldn't this wait till morning???"

"If you're going to bring up the last time we did this," Natron said, "I would liek to point out that you won." Effectively, if through cheating and pinning Natron up against a wall. The General desummoned his weapn, and shifted into. Defensive stance, taking a breath.
"Hey, don't take away my ability to piss people off, it's one of my only skills," he said, and then he beckoned. "Come on, it'll reassure me that you'll do okay in fights if I'm...not...there," he said, trailing off a little. Probably the wrong thing to say.

"Only cause you're easy to distract." Then his eyes narrowed behind glasses. "Yeah...And what's your track record been for pissing people off? Or should I say pissing certain people off?" They seriously needed to work on Natron's social skills.. "Don't you even. Just.. don't." The lieutenant gave little warning before running at the other.

"Not good," Natron acknowledged. And whether Bischofite remembered or not, recognized Fangite as the Knight he'd executed or not, there was a chance, now, that Fangite was in danger from th half-youma General.
He threw up an arm to block the punch, and then threw one of his own, aimed at Fang's midsection. "Come on, I know you can do better," he chllenged. Maybe usin that talent for pissing people off on his boyfriend was an un-ideal plan, but it was all he had.

" 'Not good' is an understatement to end all understatements." Fangite hissed as he jammed his leg into Natron's stomach. His eye twitched behind his glasses as his boyfriend taunted him. "What the ******** did I just get finished saying. Do you really wanna piss the person with a knife off?" Even if it was plastic. "Remember, I can always change the locks on you."

Natron let out a loud "oof" when Des's knee impacted his gut, doubling over and coughing for a minute. "Ow, damn, you kick hard," he said, but he was grinning. That was exactly what he wanted. Except maybe the locks change. He jerked up, looking scared for a moment. "You....wouldn't really shut me out, would you?"

"You'd know now wouldn't you? Long legs and all." Then he rolled his eyes with a snort. "Locking you out, and shutting you out are two totally different things. I could however, put a lock on the bed room door and make you sleep on the couch." Besides, it wasn't like he couldn't just teleport in as Natron. There was nothing in the world Des could do to stop that little trick. "Now get up so I can keep kicking your a**."

"They aren't that different," Natron replied, but he straightened, and he swung a punch, though it was a little less than focused. "That's cute, that you think you can kick my a** without cheating," he said, but there wasn't a lot of effort behind it. His brain kept circling back around to the idea of being locked out, and how much that absolutely terrified him.

"Shutting you out implies that I'm done with you completely. Locking you out just mean you did something stupid again and now your reaping the consequences of your actions." And if they were being real here, that second option happened a lot. The blue clad man glared once more. "Funny, considering you're the one with the build in cheating protocol. I can't teleport. So I don't wanna hear jack s**t about "with out cheating." He snapped, grabbing Natron's wrist and using the smaller mans momentum against him. "You're not paying attention. You wanted to do this."

"Reaping the consequences of my actions, huh," he said, and yes, Fangite was right, he was undeniably distracted, otherwise he never would have let the taller man practically throw him to the ground. The General rolled back onto his feet, this time swinging a much more solid kick.
"Yes, and when was the last time I had a good idea?" He asked, slightly sarcastically. "Because the last good decision I can remember making is telling you how I felt, and not a lot of them after that."

The kick caught Fangite in the side which instantly sent the Lieutenant into a fit of coughs. "Paint Ball." He muttered between them. "I'd never done it before then." They had been sore and bruised to the high heavens the next day but they had both thoroughly enjoyed themselves and relieved some stress in the process. "Why's this such a big deal? Like I said, it's not like you can't get back into the house anyway. Once again, you can teleport."

Natron shifted back, waiting for Fangite to recover before he kept pressing. "Alright, I will acknowledge paintball as a good idea." That had been fun, and absolutely worth every single bruise.
"You say I can, as if that means I would," he said, and he retreated, somewhat, crossing his arms over his chest. "Changing the locks or telling me to leave or...whatever else, the message is the same in the end. You don't want me around. I...don't know why you'd think I'd ignore something so clearly communicated."

"I'd like to point out you've done it a few times already." He said flatly. "So I don't see why it's a problem now." It wasn't much of one really, outside of possibly luring someone to their house. In which case things could get hairy after that. "I've told you to leave before remember? And what happened, you were let right back in after a few days." ...Was it a few days? He couldn't actually remember.. Fangite remembered drinking... lots and lots of drinking. So things were a bit fuzzy. Again Fangite rolled his eyes as he straightened up. "You know damn well why I'd think that." Alex. Alex, would be why he thought that way. "I'm getting very tired of this." Which was quite a feat considering Fangite was generally pretty laid back. "So I'm asking one more time before I'm done." He warned slowly. "Why is this suddenly a huge deal."

Natron took a breath. "You didn't change the locks, that time. And I didn't teleport myself in, I sat on your porch and waited for you to let me in." He wondered if Des even remembered that. Probably not.
"It's an issue, Fangite, because the first thing my father did after his deadline for me to get out of his house was up was to change the locks." And they both knew how well that had turned out. "So you'll forgive me for having an issue with the idea."
