Andronicus was off. She was sleep deprived, she was slowly loosing her mind. The Page of Uranus walked down the street, hood hiding her eyes. She jumped at the slightest movement out of the corner of her eye, but her senses were dulled on the auras around her. Everything blended together into a muddled mess and she felt surrounded. Yet instead of staying as a civilian, the young woman tried to fend off her nightmares by wandering the streets.

A chill ran up her spine and she came to a full stop, mace pointing out in a random direction. Clarity came to for a moment, and she realized she'd wandered a good few miles from home. She was near the docks, the place where Chaos had set the building on fire. Sea breeze floated through her nose and the saltiness seemed to further clear her head. Andronicus felt adrenaline rush through her veins as she felt something that did not bode well.

A chaos signature, stronger than herself, was closing in fast on her position.

"s**t, s**t s**t s**t," she cursed, turning in the opposite direction and running full tilt. She was in no position to be fighting anything stronger than herself. She was barely able to know where she was going, much less fight anyone.

A flare of Order flashed into her awareness, one that felt vaguely familiar. She ran towards it, hoping to her wonder that the aura didn't start running away.

---

Jarosite spent most of his nights patrolling. Nightmares were never fun, but a lot amount of booze and exhaustion kept them at bay. Patrolling was always fun, because it allowed him to get aggression out of his system, especially if he'd woken from a particularly bad one. This particular night had been calm. He wasn't particularly bloodthirsty or full of rage.

But he couldn't really leave an order signature alone, now could he? He had a reputation to uphold. He cracked his knuckles as the aura sprinted off, clearly aware of him. Oh good, a chase. He loved chases.

He pursued at a decent distance, hoping the aura would tired itself out first.

He probably should've been in bed. Probably, if his eye-bags were any indication. Or even his level of tiredness in general. Or the fact that he struggled so much with driving his bike to school and work and back so much that he'd resorted to taking the bus -- the bus -- to get around the city as it afforded him a bit of extra rest outside of his home. But still the nightmares plagued him and so there he was, powered up and without a damned thing to do around the city in the middle of the night. There were energy signatures all over that he sensed and simply chose to ignore; he was out to try and get himself tired enough to pass out as soon as he got home (assuming he got home at all), not look for trouble. His reaction to everything around him was almost completely dulled out by his exhaustion, but eventually he sensed a small bit of commotion nearby that caught his attention.

It was an Order aura, and it seemed to be coming...well, right toward him. It got stronger by the second, and he had an inkling as to why.

The Chaos signature came into the picture as soon as he started sprinting toward whoever was coming at him, tiredness quickly replaced by the adrenaline rush of it all. And he was grateful for it for a split second before Andronicus came into view.

She almost ignored the whistle. Almost. But then she felt the aura along with it and the page sprinted towards the source. Andronicus half tripped over herself, hitting the deck and rolling once as she came around the corner. The woman winced, feeling skin scrap and cut, but pushed herself up and let herself breath a moment. The source of the aura was a... Squire of Uranus? Yeah. She vaguely recognized him from the Mistral mission. Friends with... Themiscyra right?

A sudden flash of her friend filled her vision, covered in blood. The page went pale and she shook herself out of it. Ashur came back into view and she sort of collapsed on the ground, again.

"Thank... god... yer friends with... Themi, right?" She panted and that caught her offguard. Was she really that tired? Already? Even powered up she was never this tired after a run like that. Had she really been missing sleep lately? That much sleep? s**t. "Chaos. Someone more powerful than me. Behind. Let me just. Catch my breath. Yeah."

Damn. This was bad if she was this tired. Damn.

---

Jarosite was mildly displeased with the inclusion of another, stronger Order signature, but ah well. It would all be dealt with easily enough. Besides, if the smaller one tried to hide behind the bigger one, and the bigger one tried to protect it.... he could use that to his advantage.

The captain sped around the corner and came up on the two Uranus knights. Ah how quaint she was already on the ground and bloody. An easy target. The guy with her would be more difficult but hey, he liked a challenge.

"Far from home, little knights?" he cooed, slowing to an arrogant walk. Ah the battlelust was flowing wonderfully tonight. It would be a great fun for him. Not so much the Uranus knights.

Concern mixed with a bit of shock to see his fellow knight in the state she was in, looking completely exhausted and gasping for breath. For as long as he'd been a knight he'd never gotten quite so winded for whatever reason, and it made him think that she must have been running for quite a while already. Ash moved to help her up, nodding almost dumbly at her question. "Yeah, that's how most people think of me," he said jokingly, if with a bit of a dry tone. "'Hey you' and 'Jedi Knight' are also pretty popular with the ladies."

But talk of Chaos brought him back down to a more serious level, and he frowned. There was a part of him that was hoping he was just imagining things, maybe things to do with the freaky dreams -- or visions or hallucinations or whatever they were -- that he'd been having as of late. Just as he was about to suggest getting somewhere to lay low for a bit, he heard that voice -- that voice.

Coupled with their location and it really didn't do any wonders for his mood. Flashbacks to the hospital sure woke him up though, and he turned and glowered at the man. "Really? 'Little knights'?" he asked with a none too subtle hint of exasperation. His night had already gone to hell, he figured. Not much more could be done to make it worse at that point so why not poke the dragon?

"That the best ya got? 'Cause if it is I'd rather we just cut right to the damn chase. What do you think?"

She chuckled breathlessly. "Sorry, I'm super terrible with names. " Andronicus stood with his help, still breathless. She really needed to sleep more before running out into the world powered up. It was far more painful than she wanted it to be. The page of Uranus went to say more as the Chaos signature graced them with it's form.

They seemed to know each other. By Ashur's tone, they didn't know each other pleasantly. Andronicus recognized the Captain in passing; having bright blue hair did that. Mostly because he reminded her of an ex boyfriend. She was out of breath and tired, but she summoned her mace and stood next to Ashur, slightly behind him.

"Oh ******** off, captain, no one gives a s**t," she snapped back. Tired Andronicus meant no filter at all.

---

Jarosite grinned. Oh he remembered that male knight. He was with the Mars b***h. He flashed white teeth, daggers flickering into existence in his hands. He spun the blades, falling into a loose stance. The chick next to him was spunky, spit fire but ultimately would be in pain at the end of this. Idealy, he should try to corrupt them (or at least convert them to bring to a General - Sovereign) but he didn't have to do that with them conscious.

"Don't want to prolonge your lives, hmm? I'll oblige your death wish!" he said, sprinting towards them, fists aimed to punch Ashur in the jaw.

Ashur kept his eyes trained on the Captain ahead of him, though Andro's retort amused him to an extent. Not enough for an outward reaction, though. The scowl stayed and, when he glanced over at her and saw that she seemed alright to stand, he let her go and took hold of his staff just as he rushed toward him.

Without thinking, Ash shoved Andronicus off in the other direction, if anything to give her more room to maneuver and get a good hit in. Either that or run -- her choice, but he had a feeling she'd stick around. In the process he took a solid blow to the jaw. Everything went white for all of a second, then starry before he nearly lost his footing. Nearly. His reflexes were much improved since his last fight though, and the instant he got his balance back he tried to thrust his staff straight into Jarosite's stomach.

I may admit right now that I had a hard time writing the last bit, for...reasons. Amusing ones, I think, but yes. :|a

The page sort of staggered to the side, in that anime-like way where they sort of hop along on one foot after being pushed out of the way. She blinked a few times, her tiredness giving her a glazed stare until she snapped out of it.

Had he just... pushed her out of the way? Granted it did put her behind the captain somewhat, as the two men traded blows. An opening, probably unintended. Andronicus stared for a moment before spinning the mace and swinging it like a baseball bat into the captain's shoulder blades.

--

He took the blow fully in the stomach from that damn staff. Jarosite grunted and spit on the ground. Stupid knights, stupid sticks, stupid people knowing how to use their weapons properly. His hands closed around the staff and he made to throw Ashur to the side with it.

Then something hard and pointy slammed into his shoulder blade. He dropped the staff in pain, glared at both knights. No ********' fair. He should be stronger than these idiots.

But no, here he was, getting his a** handed to him. Wonderful.

AND THEN EIGHT MONTHS LATER...
PostPosted: Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:25 pm

Now, he didn't expect for the man to hold onto the staff. His surprise was indicated by a mixed expression of surprise and worry as he felt the man start to swing him off. If he lost contact with his weapon he'd be in a bit of a bind, but mid-swing Jarosite let go and only sent Ash staggering to the side a bit. Lucky break?

The Uranus knight didn't waste any time and, with the Captain stunned, he swung his staff in a sweeping motion at the Captain's legs in hopes of sweeping him off of his feet.

No, absolutely not like that.

The Captain hit the deck, hard and let out a loud curse word. Andronicus moved rather fast for her sleep deprived state, and slammed her mace into his crotch.

Captain and Page stared at each other for a moment.

Then Jarosite curled in on himself and decided to just GTFO.

"
Andronicus glanced at Ashur, and then at the empty space where Jarosite has been. She did this a few times, trying to find words to express the sheer surprise at the whole thing she had. Her brain, addled by no sleep, offered absolutely no help.

"Well then... that's one way to deal with him I guess?"

Wrap up soonish?
PostPosted: Sun Dec 13, 2015 12:49 pm

Ashur winced when, as he looked up, he witnessed Andronicus essentially crush the family jewels of the poor guy. He couldn't even laugh or feel amused, being a guy himself and knowing exactly what that'd feel like. He was just glad he wasn't on the receiving end of it. When the Captain teleported away he cleared his throat, rubbing at one of the sore spots that he knew would bruise in the near future.

"I'm a guy so I sympathize with him, Negaverse or not," he replied, though he still gave her a good clap on the shoulder. "Nice work, though. Ruined his night and got him to leave, I'd say that's definitely dealing with him."

The squire replaced his staff on his back and stretched himself out a little. He didn't take any major blows in this fight, probably because Andro had been there to help double-team the guy that was on her tail. If he had to face the guy all on his own he had a feeling he'd have more cuts and bruises than he did right then. And he still had a project to work on, and possibly school the next day if he was feeling up to actually going to class. Which was...not likely.

"Think I'm gonna call it a night, though."
