It was still dark, several hours before dawn in fact. Everything was damp from the rain, which left the ground rather squishy under hoof. The landscape was foggy too, thanks to the recent downturn in temperatures. Fall was passing and winter was well on its way. Though things weren't so unpleasant that the pink stallion was ready to hunker down for the season just yet. So he had headed off in another direction to find something new and interesting. That had been this morning, but now...
Allegro had been traveling long enough today that the effects of his earlier rain bath had been negated. He was practically covered head to hoof in mud, having slipped a couple of times earlier in surprisingly deep spots. Thankfully he had been able to get himself free without much incident. He was working at shaking off some of the mud as he trotted along but it had really gotten in everywhere.cyhorse And here you go! Do you have a teepee so I can add the link to the first post?

Sharp, muddy hooves dug deep into the dirt with each deliberate step that the small, unikalona mare took. This was the type of weather that the mare relished in. Not only did the dark clouds make the land bearable to tread through, but the fog was the perfect source of camouflage for the white and blood tainted mare. Excitement swelled in the mare as she thought about all the opportunities that the white fog brought for her. She could snap a does neck and escape without anyone ever seeing a thing. Oh how wonderful!
A twisted smile curled on the mare's maw as she began her hunt. Her body moved with the fog as one unit as she stepped through the thick mud with only making very little noise. Something in the distance caught the mare's attention and she slowly slithered in the direction. What the hell? Pupil-less eyes focused in on something big and... pink? Snarling, she imagined a pesky mare skipping over and following Morana until she snapped. Well, at least she would have a meal.

Allegro was no mare but he was certainly bright pink. Which did tend to stand out...and sometimes he forgot just how much. Thus far things today were shaping up to be a rather unpleasant reminder of that, though he was not aware of it just yet. The weather did indeed hide Morana rather well and his own squishing through the mud camouflaged any remaining sounds that weren't distorted by the fog. So he would remain oblivious until when, or even if, she decided to make herself known. And if it happened quite suddenly he could very well have a problem...
But until the situation changed he would keep going on his merry way. At least by now he was making some progress with de-mudding himself, but that only made more of his bright pink coat shine through.
