Grywin glided through the cavernous tunnel, silently approaching the cursed camp he spotted a general that was familar from his last approach on the enemy camp. Whipping out his metal staff he swung it hard for her head.

Mariemaia was beginning to think that the non-cursed had just gone ahead and given up on this whole futile war, when lo and behold; a challenge! A familiar one no less, with his adorable stick still in tow! Grinning, she dodged the staff, not letting the glancing blow to her shoulder show on her face as she raised her clawed hand and slashed at the other's arm; this time she would come away the victor! HP: 29

Grywin was not surprised that she pretty much avoided the attack, he seemed to lack the stealth he though he had possessed at the beginning of this war. However, in spite of having come to the realization that he was much better at strategy than open combat, he would not stop nor give in. He took her claws to his normal arm, ignoring the bloody slices as he thrust his staff's end sharply for her masked face. He would become a better warrior if that was what it took to fulfill his god's goals. HP: 28

Mariemaia saw the staff coming just in time to tilt her head to the side, though it had to be quite exaggerated in order to avoid it completely, and it left her neck rather sore on one side; she might have to check and see if her camp's healers had a masseuse among the ranks. "Oh come now; at least try." she teased before coming in again, this time with claws aimed forward in a stabbing motion towards the other's chest. HP: 28

The claws sunk deep into his chest, unable to pull back from his thrust in time to avoid it at all. He grunted and coughed up a bit of blood as the corners of his lips turned up in his sly smile. "Just testing your reflexes." He replied softly with a mocking tone as if he didn't even need to try against her. Though in his mind knowing the opposite was true he was going to have to step up his game and fast to learn anything from this fight but what it felt like to get clawed to bits. Not even pulling himself off her claws he aimed a straight punch for her stomach with his normal hand. HP: 24

"Ooof!" The blow to her stomach hurt immensely, and though she tried not to let it show, she ended up letting out a few barking coughs as she fought to regain the breath the other had so viciously beaten from her body. "Now that's......more like it." she gasped with a wobbly grin, and reaching into her folds, pulled out her serrated blade and quickly lunged at the other, aiming her weapon at the other's shoulder. HP: 24

Grywin continued to grin as he pulled back, preparing for her counter attack. She brought out her weapon and he moved to block it with his staff, but the sheer power and weight pushed back his defense enough to earn him a decent slice on his shoulder anyway. Placing both hands on his staff he pushed her sword back and moved to the side, swinging his staff sharply for her ribs. HP: 22

The staff cracked sharply against Mariemaia's ribs, and she was certain that a few of them were at the very least cracked; for a quaint little stick, it sure had a good, solid build. Moving to one side to get her injured ribs out of the way, she aimed a slice at the other's side, opposite from where he had hit her. HP: 21

Grywin pulled to the side as her blade came at his side. The serrated edge toke his robe and bit into his hip as he continued to move to avoid a more serious injury. Twirling his staff he swung it for her uninjured side only to pull it back at the last second and launch a powerful uppercut for her jaw. HP: 20

Marie was ready for the staff, but the uppercut took her almost completely by surprise. Bringing up her arm as a reflex, she was able to keep it from doing more than loosening a few teeth, but, damn that hurt! Angrily, she raised her blade and thrust it in front of her, trying to gouge a hole in the other before he got too far away from her. HP: 20

Grywin cursed silently and made to pull back, but wasn't quick enough. The large blade sunk deep into his stomach and he grunted. He was quick to pull himself off the weapon, but the action did almost as much damage on the way out as it had in, due to the serrated edge. He resisted the urged to cover the hole with his hand and instead placed both hands on his metal staff and took a swing for the side of her horned head. HP: 16

Mariemaia saw stars as the staff hit her head with a resounding crack, and as she reeled back, she reached up to touch her head and was surprised to find blood oozing onto her fingers as well as a lovely goose egg swelling up where she had been hit. "Ouch...." she said without the slightest hint of anger in her voice before calmly shifting her blade and flying back quickly with an apparent thrust, veering off at the last minute to try for a clawed hand to the face, seeking out the eye holes. HP: 16

Grywin fell for the feint and took her claws to his face. His cheek was gashed badly and they even found they're way under his visor. His grin faded to a slim line as he bit back a curse, sure he would have lost an eye if not for his visor. He let the blood flow freely from his gouged face as he backed away only to suddenly lung in, thrusting his staff sharply for her chest. HP: 12

Marie would have crowed with triumph at the hit, but was too busy trying to gain the upper hand to do much more gloating. Good thing too, because when the staff came and thrust itself into her chest, she had wind to knock from her lungs instead of having her empty fleshy parts deflating and collapsing altogether. Doubling over in pain, she suddenly rushed forward, her horned head leading the way, in an attempt to crash into the other. HP: 12

Grywin twirled to the side as she aimed her horned head for him. He took a grazing would to his blood stained side as he used the spin's momentum to increase the power of his staff's swing as she aimed it for her back. HP: 11
