zippedsiren sorry i took so long to set this up. something came up last night. I wasn't really sure where Sprinkles worked so let me know if i should change anything. Paws had just recently watched a movie her sister had recommended to her that took place in multiple video game worlds and made many references to old classic games. The main character was supposed to be a bad guy, but being a villain was so lonely that he had long been sick of it and had run away from his game. The colors were bright and beautiful and she had quickly fallen in love with the film. Halloween was rapidly approaching and what better way to celebrate her love then by making a costume!
She had decided on making the badass female lieutenant who always knew just what to do. Sure, the character held a bit of a grudge, but her tough attitude just made her seem cool and the little filly couldn't wait to pretend to be her.
The girl had been working on the armored outfit in a donut shop. The sugary snacks providing her the energy she needed to sew. The young foal was nearing close to done as she worked to install LEDs into the garment on the small table before her.

Sprinkles liked nothing more than to eat and her absolute favorite thing to eat was a doughnut. The pale purple mare had trouble deciding on just on kind though, and instead ordered a complete array of treats to devour. The pegasus sat in a booth behind the little white filly. Growing curious as to what was going on at the next table, Sprinkles grabbed a doughnut and flapped her way up above the table to peer over the booth’s seat. Sprinkles took a large bite out of a jelly doughnut as she stared in awe at the creation the filly was making. “OH WOW! You’re really talented, that’s super cool looking what is it?” Sprinkles spoke as she chewed her pastry. Little flakes crumbling down. As went to wipe her mouth with a hoof, Sprinkles squished her jelly doughnut and it’s bright red gooey center shot out and with a splat landed on the costume. “OH MY .. I… I AM SO SORRY.” Sprinkles quickly jumped over to that side of the booth and hovering in the air, tried to mop up the mess, but was really only making things worse with her sticky, sugary coated hooves. cursedandwandering This is good! I haven't 100% settled on a work idea for her, but where there are doughnuts there is a Sprinkles.

The filly was carefully pressing down the strands of lights into one of the seams when suddenly little bits of sugar came sprinkling down. The sweet snowflakes stuck out against the dark armor, but were easily brushed away as the foal looked up at a smile at her guest.
"Thanks! It's a costume for halloween. It's a lieutenant from the movie Break-it Ra-" Paws blinked as a loud splat hit the cloth and foam. A look over horror passed over her face as she slowly turned her head down to see the damage.
The white female's lips quivered as she bit her tongue to restrain herself from shrieking. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as the adult tried to fix things, but only seemed to make them worse.
"No, no. It's ok." Paws winced, watching the jelly get smeared onto the LEDs. "I can just replace that panel or something..."

“I’m sure it’ll be just… if I..” Sprinkles kept pawing at the garment, until she suddenly stopped completely and sat down on the table top. It was difficult to get the pegasus to be upset, but she couldn’t help but have great sympathy for the babben and the guilt was never racking. “Well… it’s not too bad. If you think you can fix it up… “ “Say, Breaking-it Ralph, that’d that movie with the candy people right?... Maybe it’s not ruined!”

Paws was frowning down at her costume. Replacing the entire front panel was going to be a lot of work. She prodded at the jelly smudge with a hoof. Too bad this sticky stuff was on everything.
"Huh?" The little filly looked up, confused. The movie certainly did have candy based characters in it, but she wasn't sure how that was a fix to her problem. "What do you mean?"

"They all had candy bits in their costume... maybe you can kinda, I dunno. Use some candy here as part of the armor? That might hide the stain... Or like, maybe she's post battle?" Sprinkles quickly leapt over to her booth and brought back the tray of doughnuts. In the spirit of things, she took a doughnut and some of Paw's thread and made a little necklace out of it. Modelling it, she happily exclaimed "Sooo totally fashionably delicious. Right? Maybe the chocolate ones would be nice to go with armor?"

With that Paws brightened up a bit. There were a lot of candy characters in the movie and the huge battle did take place in a candy world. So, if the lieutenant got covered in candy during a fight it wouldn't be unsurprising. In fact, no one else would have likely thought of such a thing, which would make her completely unique from all the other people dressing up as the character!
The filly stared curiously as the mare borrowed her thread, stringing donuts onto it. She peered at the jewelry at the jewelry for a moment before exclaiming "That's kinda cute!" It was also very delicious smelling, which may be good for something edible, but she didn't want people eating her costume.
She leaned down, reaching under the table for her bag of supplies to pull up a bottle of wood varnish. The white filly was originally planning to use it on the foam armor to give it more of a shine and stiffness to it, but it'd work for this as well. "Hey, umm... If we lacquer the donuts and stuff they won't go bad ever or attract bugs! That way people can wear them without worry."

Sprinkles couldn't help but clap her hooves together excitedly. "AWESOME! This'll be great. Really, like original. I think. Plus mmmm, that smell." The pink haired pegasus was wided eyed with excitement that this just might work out. She was so excited, that she even started to chew away at the doughnuts she had looped around her neck as Paws worked to figure out what to do with things. Sprinkles had wolfed down the majority of her necklace in the time it took Paws to bring out the lacquer. Literally, the necklace confectioneries were gone in a flash. Mouthful again, this time Sprinkles carefully swallowed before speaking. "You mean you won't ever eat it, but keep it forever? That's pretty neat!"

"Mhmm, it'll be preserved." The little filly beamed before turning to the bottle.
Paws was so focused on unscrewing the cap to the varnish that she hadn't noticed Sprinkles eating the necklace. She reached over to wear the piece of jewelry had been, ready to dip it into the lacquer only to find it wasn't there. Looking up with surprise, the filly couldn't help but laugh as she saw the thread in the mare's mouth.
"Oh?!" The white filly giggled and held up a hoof. "Hold on a second," she smiled and rose from her seat to head to the counter.
There was a large array of varieties displayed on the shelves. Donuts filled with different types of jellies or covered in frosting. Paws Button bit her lip before ordering the ones she thought cutest and returning to the table with them. She laid out the box, lid open and turned it towards the adult.
"So what should we make first?"

cursedandwandering o uo a Paws Button avvie? CUTE Sprinkles grinned wide as Paws laughed. Even more so when Paws came back with a tray full of treats. Sprinkles eyes grew even wider, her mouth watering a little at the sight of pastries. But these were not for eating, Sprinkles had to tell herself. These doughnuts were for the beautification and deliciousification of her small companion’s costumer. The pegasus eyed up all the doughnuts in the box, and saw a one with chocolate glaze. Picking it up she tried to look at it the way a designer might. “This one has a nice color for armor.. maybe as part of a belt? ….. Oooo a bear claw!” Sprinkles became distracted by another favorite kind, picking up that one too and pretending to slash the air with it.

zippedsiren Mhmm! I've been trying to figure out a Mooncake avi, but there aren't many purple masculine items or good orange hair. XD The filly tilted her head as the adult began to pick up various donuts and make suggestions. A belt would be nice, though it seemed like the mare was really interested in that particular donut. Perhaps she'd save it for later and see if she could do something with it.
Paws glanced down at all the donuts before picking up a pair. One was chocolate with pink icing with a white icing drizzle, the other was a regular donut with chocolate icing and rainbow sprinkles. She held them up in front of her costume by the shoulder area. "Epaulettes?" she asked, interested in the mare's opinion.
A chuckle escaped her as she turned to look and noticed the adult playing with a bear claw. Her lips pursed as she got an idea. "Hmm... If you could be anything, what would you be?"

"Epaulettes? OH! Those shoulder things! That would look rad! Especially the rainbow sprinkles one, that one looks great." Everything with Sprinkles was an exclamation. She was just so ... enthusiastic about how the project was shaping up. The pegasus couldn't possibly have a bad word to say about a costume that looked good enough to eat. "If I could be anything? Like for real? Because I like being me pretty well, seems to be going wonderfully so far. But if I could dress up... I think it'd be really fun to be something cute, like maybe giraffe, or a dinosaur, or like... a swan. Or maybe a ballerina. There's so many things that'd be fun to be. What about you? You like being a soldier?"

A grin spread across her face as the mare approved of the epaulettes. The white filly picked up the two donuts, dipping them into a lacquer before she laid them out on a napkin to dry. Next she picked up another sprinkled donut, ripping it into smaller pieces before she dipped each. Threading her needle, she ran it through each of the smaller pieces before attached several to the two whole donuts so they would dangle down from the shoulders.
"Ballerina, huh?" Paws Button glanced up then back to the donuts. Well it would be a bit difficult given the medium. Her eyes returned to the bear claw and she glanced back to the counter. They seemed to still have plenty in stock.
"I like trying out being everything, though i really think character is more important than career when picking who to cosplay as. It's just a bonus if the costume is cool." She pushed herself up out of her seat and raised a hoof. "Hold on a second," she said with a giggle, heading back to the counter. This would probably take what was left of her money, but it would be worth it.

Sprinkles watched with fascination as the little white filly turned food into accessory and decoration for the costume. It was something that she herself couldn't imagine being skilled enough to do, a doughnut on a string was her craftiest wearable creation. "How'd you learn to do stuff like this? You're really good, I'd never know to laquer something. I'd only cover it in icing. Not that icing is bad." Her purpley eyes followed the babben as she went to the counter. She wondered what she could be up to, as they already had more than enough to work with.

Paws cast a glance over her shoulder towards Sprinkles as she tried to estimate how many bear claws it would take to encircle the chubby phony's waist. She pursed her lips and leaned towards the cashier, ordering eight of the donuts. She brought the bag back to the table, sitting down silently as she dipped them into the lacquer.
"Well, it's also what they use on furniture to protect the wood. It creates a clear shell to prevent damage, so it makes sense to use it for other things too." The filly nodded along as she talked then ran a string through the bear claws. The ends were left unconnected so it could be tied on and she moved back to the epaulette's as she waited for the mock tutu to dry. Holding onto her armored suit she tacked the donut epaulette's on with several stitches to each side. She glanced up as she finished them and looked towards the adult. The bear claws were nearly dry now.
"Well, i don't really have any tulle at the moment, but... This was as close to a ballerina i could get using donuts." She held up the string of bear claws and offered them.
