The MorningJunko woke up excited. She woke up early, fresh and awake, and practically flew out of bed like a bat out of hell. She giggled and squealed. The morning of her birthday and no dreading sense of impending doom, no attacks. Nothing. She was so happy. She danced and sang as she prepared breakfast for her foxes and Momo, and herself. Finally she flopped down on her bed and grabbed her phone. She pouted. Stupid thing turned off in the night. Birthday Picnic
She had prepared all the food quite happily.
Maybe a little too happily.
The basket was incredibly heavy, but nothing Seiji couldn't handle. Junko was grinning up at him as she walked alongside the boil, bristling with excitement. Best day ever~.

The morningIt was her birthday, he didn't want to wake her up, so he waited until he heard his phone buzzing at him, Junko's special tone. eight Text to J-baby: Happy birthday gorgeous ghoul. Did you sleep well? The ghost had been awake for hours, of course, and he'd spent his time wrapping a few small boxes, picking out clothing, and making himself handsome and presentable.

The Morningeight Test to J-baby: Excellent. I'll be over as soon as I can. Sit tight. The text was sent off, phone pocketed, and he'd grab the presents off the dresser as he headed out the door. They were small, so they fit in his pockets easily. Inconspicuous, so he could give them to her at different points of the day. It took him twenty minutes to walk from the campus to her apartment, and in that time he had stopped at a flower vender to buy her a small bouquet of spider lilies, all black and white and almost as pretty as she was. It was tucked behind his back as he knocked on her door.

"Did you leave any food for the rest of the customers in the grocery store?" He gave the basket an experimental heft, trying to gauge it's weight.
"Where do you want to have this picnic anyways?"

The Morning
Junko squealed excitedly and did climbed out of bed to get dressed and ready for the day. Oh jack, what was she going to wear? She could wear anything she wanted but..ohhh this was hard she had so many things! She spent ten of the twenty minutes it took Seiji to arrive just going through all of her dresses. "No, no, no...too sexy..no...too froofy...no...hm..maybe? Eh. Nah..no...no..too formal..."
Opening a window had decided it for her. One of her new favorites; a long, mostly fitted dress with a large cowl neck and spiderweb designs up the side. A skirt underneath gave the dress a bit of volume, and actual boots. Something new to Junko's wardrobe. She was touching up a bit of makeup when there finally came a knock at the door.
She grinned, checking blood red lips for smudges or missed spots before finally prancing to the door. She opened it, looking up at Seiji with an excited little noise. "Hi~! Eh?" His hiding arm was immediately distracting.

Birthday Picnic
"A whole shelf! I was feeling generous." Junko announced proudly. When he asked where she wanted the picnic she pointed ahead of them. "There's a lake on the other side of this hill. I figured we could have it there! It's a really, really pretty view. And no one will bother us there." She smiled up at him, long tendrils of hair brushing up along his arm in an affectionate gesture.
"When we get up there I have something for you. Well, both of us really."

He grinned down at her as the door opened, flashing pointy teeth, then bent to lay a kiss against soft lips. With the distraction the flowers were brought around, held between them, so she'd see them as they drew apart. A second kiss brushed against her brow when her head dipped to look.

"Where ever you want to go." If it was lake she wanted to head towards, that was just fine with him. It reminded him, actually, of their picnic down by the cove when she'd visited him at his parent's place.
A brow rose as as she mentioned having something for the both of them, and lips twisted as he gave her a look. "It's your birthday, not mind, silly ghoul."

She grinned. "I know! That's why I said it's for the both of us. I get whatever I want today, right?" Junko continued up the hill until they were at the top of it, and then looked down at her shoes. Hm...going down a hill toward a lake in these boots.
...Nope.
Instead the ghoul unfolded the blanket she was carrying to set it down there, sitting down on it almost immediately and taking her boots off to set them aside. She pat the ground beside her. Sit, sit~. "I think you'll like it anyway, even if it is kinda..I don't know...girly?"

The MorningAnd distracted she was! Junko giggled with glee and returned the kiss, hands coming up to rest against his chest until they brushed something very clearly not his chest. She blinked, looking down at the flowers and gasping when she saw them. She couldn't even remember the last time he had brought her flowers! "Seiji they're beautiful!" She squealed, taking them from him with gentle care and giving them a sniff. She hopped on her toes, heels clicking every time they hit the floor. "Ohmyjack thank you! I love them!" Giggling, Junko leaned in to steal another kiss. "Best boilfriend ever~."She wandered back into the apartment after that, immediately digging around the kitchen for a vase. When she found it she filled it with water and moved further into the apartment to set them down on the coffee table. Junko lingered to admire them, smiling as she sniffed them again. So pretty.

Birthday picnic
Glowing eyes narrowed further, but he followed her, wordlessly waiting while she spread the blanket out, then sat down beside her. A quick glance was afforded the boots, brows twitching, but beyond the softly amused smile that followed there was no comment. She'd never warn boots before, at least not when they'd been dating.
Her attempts to put his mind at ease over whatever it is she had for him, them, fell short as she mentioned it being girly. "Right." She did, however, manage to pique his curiosity. A pointed look was turned down to the ghoul beside him as he leaned back on one arm. "So what is it?"

The morning
Yes he was the best boilfriend ever, and don't you forget it. He grinned, pleased with himself, as he trailed after her into the kitchen. "Not as beautiful as you, gorgeous, but they come close." It was a cheesy line, but ******** it. Junko appreciated romantic gestures.
She'd liked the first little present, but there were three more burning holes in his pocket. Hopefully she'd appreciate those as well.

The Morning
Junko looked over her shoulder at him with a huge smile. It was cheesy but she loved it. She turned away from the flowers to return to Seiji, reaching up to drape her arms over his shoulders and lean her weight against him. "You're so sweet," she giggled. "I love you~. One more kiss and then we go?"
