(Set at the beginning of the Meta)
Senri Cross.. or Sailor Zephyr was an existence that had disappeared. Corrupted Eternal Zephyr had taken his place long ago.. and he had finally returned to Destiny City. He has been on some overseas operations for the Negaverse that hadn't been based in Destiny City, but it appeared things had been stirring enough for the higher ups to call Zephyr back just in case. "Kain Takemiya" was the name that had been given to him by the Chaos faction when his memories disappeared on that fateful night long ago..
His hair had been cut short, no longer a ponytail from his younger days. He was walking on the busy streets that graces Destiny City's party life during the dusk and evening hour. "Well, well.." He was busy scrolling through his device that updated him on the recent news of Chaos and Order factions. They had been quite busy while he was gone, weren't they?

Senri Cross had gone missing.
It was something that Eve Summers would not care to admit to his face if he ever turned up again. But he had been uncontactable, gone, almost as if he had disappeared into thin air. She had stalked out his previous apartment on multiple occasions, tried looking for him at his frequent haunts, texted and left more voice messages than necessary. Even his senshi phone did not respond, and she didn't know what to think.
Should she fear the worst? But she certainly did not want to think about that, and some part of her still harbored some hope that he would miraculously turn up again and she would punch him in the arm with a huff and everything would be back to normal.
But her life wasn't even normal in the first place. Even if she avoided henshining up unless necessary these days, there was always the lingering reminder that she was a senshi, and the battle between Order and Chaos had somehow come down to this.
She was simply a civilian, walking home with a flower arrangement in her arms; a product of while she had been waiting for her clients at the flower shop. She had taken it up as a hobby, of sorts, and it seemed to fill her with a sense of peace.
A peace that was soon shattered as she noticed someone in front of her. A... corrupted senshi.
Her breath caught in her throat. There was something about him that seemed awfully familiar, and yet, she could not quite place him. His was a face she had not seen in the ranks of Chaos, or at least those that she could remember. Perhaps he had been recently converted, and gods, it was all she could do to wish that no one else would be taken, but with recent events, it was something difficult to avoid.

It was unfortunate but Senri Cross would never exist again to return Eve Summer's calls. He would never visit that apartment. He had been ordered to cut off any existing ties, and arrangements were made by the negaverse concerning his new residency, identity, amongst other things. After his corruption, he had been trained mercilessly to be a worthy asset of the military faction. His glance was caught by an interesting women whose gaze seemed to be arrested by his form. They would have passed each other completely though if it hadn't been for her bouquet- his clothed arm brushing against her flowers and causing one delicate stem to fall to the ground. He picked it up as any other gentleman would, "Be careful. I would hate for beautiful flowers to be trampled upon." His voice would certainly ring a bell in her memories. It was slightly deeper, slightly huskier in the years that had passed him by as he had aged. Giving her a sideways smile, he wasn't allowed to think about her for much longer as his phone rung with an argent alarm; he answered the call from his negaverse contacts. He resumed his path, "Hello? Zephyr at your service." A brief pause ensured. "I may be at your service but calling me into work the first day I come back to town is quite off-putting." He said this in a mild tone. Even though he was moving quickly enough to have the conversation spoken in low tones fade away quickly, Eve would surely catch snatches and bits. But most importantly.. "I'll meet you by the docks."

It was a blunder on her end; Eve immediately chastised herself for not checking if the flowers were all secure before leaving the florist, and he reacted faster than she did. The blonde girl; curly locks tied back in a ponytail, gave him a brief smile of thanks, and would have possibly said so, if he hadn't been interrupted--
Did he just say... the word, Zephyr...?
The chatter of the evening crowd and bustle around her seemed to fade away in her ears to a muted dull murmur, and she could only stare after his retreating back in shock. It was as though her pulse had slowed and her blood turned cold and it was all she could do was wrap her arms tighter around her bouquet as though the flowers could give her some comfort.
He had always been one she would describe as an insufferable idiot rather huffily to anyone who would ask her about him; though despite that very account of him, and her adamant denial that their past special connection meant nothing, the dread swirling in the pit of her stomach proved that she cared for him more than she would like to admit.
It couldn't be, she thought, vision blurring as angry tears began to brim and threaten to send tracks down her cheeks. He was an idiot, yes, but why? Why him? When? How could she have not known?
She had encounters with corruptions of those she had cared about since her early years as a senshi. Now it was certainly much more rampant than before and a grim fate that was seen as an enlightenment to the public eye, but it didn't mean it hurt any less.
She wanted to know. She wanted to know how it had happened and why, and find who was responsible and hand that name over to the Shadows, and even join the Shadows for that very mission herself to exact vengeance. Her hand hovered over her abdomen, where she kept a secret pocket containing her henshin pen tied underneath her clothing. Being Flora was not something she could do often now, given her role in the Resistance, but she feared hiding it anywhere else.
She wondered if she should henshin up and confront him. But it was too dangerous, and she needed to know more.
Eve Summers steeled herself and decided that her next move was to follow this man who claimed to be the person she had been seeking.

Kain arrived by the docks, not bothering to hide his strong aura. There was no need for the former secrecy the negaverse had employed, since they had risen in the ranks of power. Several lieutenants and captains arrived, and finally a general emerged. They appeared to be on close terms as Zephyr was given a briefing and tasked with a new list of things to do. "Zephyr, I trust that you will finish this with the same excellence as the tasks you have fulfilled before." "I have assigned you several of our most promising lieutenants and captains to help you." The general emphasized meaningfully. "I understand. We are to have no survivors, are we?" He asked with a polite smile, as if they were speaking of the daily weather or their hobbies than people's lives. "I'll make use of the men you've given me, but for now, have them retreat." He looked up at the full moon with a nostalgic smile. "I'd like to have a few hours to myself, since it's been a while since I've seen Destiny City for myself." He took obvious pleasure in the night wind that passed them by and ruffled his hair. The general understood, following Zephyr's gaze towards the moon. "I don't quite understand the sentiment that you senshi have towards the moon or your specific spheres, but since I'm not a corrupted senshi, it would never make sense to me anyways." He shrugged his shoulder, not really caring since he was aware of Zephyr's obedience to the negaverse. "Remember your duty though." He brushed Zephyr's shoulder on his way out, the men who had arrived with him disappeared into the darkness. "Or it could be due to the fact that you've never had your memories ripped apart from you." Zephyr thought outloud, sitting on the edge of the rooftop. Nobody would ever understand having their complete sense of identity erased and created anew without having experienced it for themselves. There was always a sense of incompleteness, a desire to search for what had been lost. Therefore there was a painful ache in his chest every time he looked at the moon, feeling as if he had betrayed somebody. Zephyr used that feeling though, not to regret his past, but to coldly remind him of the cruelty the negaverse were capable of. He didn't have time for sympathy or regrets in this cruel world. What would he think of Eve, Sailor Flora, one of the few people who remembered him in this world five years later?
